Why Are People On Facebook Doing This

Why do people ignore me on Facebook?

Gosh, I know exactly how you feel. I rarely, if ever, hear from anyone(especially the relatives). I've written on their wall or sent them a message or two, and I always get a curt response, such as "I am too busy, tired to talk, yada yada..". (and like you, it's not like I am being rude or pestering them or anything). I have considered either deleting my Facebook account or doing a friend sweep or something, so I don't have to see their rude *ss faces anymore..
I am starting to realize that the people who seem to get the most attention on Facebook, are very often the people who brag about their exotic vacations, their lives or their accomplishments (hence the often nicknamed "Facebrag"or "Faceboast"). I am shy and quiet like you, and I am not going to resort to doing that. I figure, if people don't want to be my friend(or at least be polite), then it's their loss, not mine. I don't have anything in common with most of them anyways.
You sound like a very nice person, and talented too! I wouldn't let these jerks get you down. I would just concentrate on your real friends and ignore the rest of them.

Why do some people post everything on facebook?

you should broaden the subject to people who are more socially inhibited and share more than others.
some definitions to research to broaden the psychological research of communication are free association, projective test, humanistic psychology, psycho dynamic perspective, self-concept, unconditional positive regard, personality, hierarchy of needs, defense mechanisms, conformity, compliance, group dynamics.

people feel a positive reinforcement from facebook because they can rationalize similarities of others by comparing their written thoughts with one another. Also, facebook is a false sense of identity. most people who write things over the internet would not actually say them in person so they feel 'daring' and 'spontaneous' without having the face-to-face judgment of other people. Facebook has the "like" application which gives people a sense of happiness to know that people 'like' what they are doing, where they are at, how they look, what they are wearing, and what they say. It also gives them a sense of acceptance and compliance socially, and can make them feel popular because they may be friends with the cool kid in school on facebook but not actually talk or hang out with that cool kid in real life. People get the social aspects of internet and the social aspects of real life confused very easily. You can be whoever you want on the internet, but you are more likely to be who you really are in person. Facebook is also a way for people to be nosey, check up on people more frequently then they would in person, and criticize people how they want without feeling bad, nosey, or a stalker. As far as people posting way to much information on facebook, that has to do with their social skills. Some people have secrets that they know are not acceptable to tell other people because they are not morally correct or they are embarrassed by it. Other people do not have a sense of when too much is too much. There is also another aspect of why people post too much information is that they clearly do not understand that people do in fact criticize even when you are not face to face, they are just doing it behind you back.

Why do people wave at people on Facebook?

I personally think they do it just to annoy me. I wish they would remove that function on fb.If at anytime someone waves at me then I’m going to un friend them, based solely off the fact that the people who wave are not my type of people.KD

Why do people post pictures on Facebook?

Facebook is just one more way of keeping in touch for many of us.My three daughters, eleven grandchildren and I all live in four different states: New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, and Florida. That puts a lot of unwanted space between all of us.Between our Skype, or Face Time visits, all three of my girls regularly post new photos of what is going on in their busy lives. For me, pictures are a blessing. Children grow and change a lot between our visits. I love printing and hanging new photos on the fridge, or just taping them to the front of my desk.I miss them and Facebook allows me an extra peek, now and then …

Why do so many people make Facebook fake accounts?

There could be no. of reason why one create a Fake account on Facebook. Some of them do it to hard others while others do it for fun and not particularly annoying anyone in that process. Spamming and promotion of their stuff. FB blocks the accounts if someone try to penetrate their securities so Hackers usually create FB fake accounts for hacking  as no one wants to risk their original account. (One of my friend has lost his account while doing some foolish stuff on Facebook)I have two FB account, one is real and other is for testing purposes. (nothing blackhat)Then there are people who had 4-5 FB accounts just to get more promotional offers from FB. (For example Freecharge give 50 rs free recharge when you login with your FB account)Some advertised make fake account for displaying ads on Facebook. (not sure why they do that)Psycho lover sending spam message and comments to their crush and stalking them on FB. (very bad)But there are couple of ways to find out if the profile is fake or not. The best of all is reverse Google search the profile images. More can be find here at How to Identify Fake People on Facebook

Facebook: Why do people "vaguebook?"

It's a form of attention seeking behavior combined with "first world problems". By being vague, an individual can elicit a response of concern from their surroundings that would normally be considered as overreacting. "I think I made a mistake" sounds a lot more dramatic than "I should not had binge watched Netflix last night and prepared more for my test today". The first will trigger "what's wrong?" while the second will trigger "lol" or "lol, you idiot". When people have real problems they tend to communicate them clearly because they recognize the severity of the issue. When it's some bulldoodoo that you already know is not a big deal, you post something vague so that people have to guess.Personally I ignore it.

Why do people pretend to be inactive on Facebook?

Why do some people pretend to be inactive on Facebook but they really are reading every one of their friends' posts?Because it’s their account and they use it as they please.Whatever someone does with their accounts is none of others’ business. That’s the truth. If someone doesn’t want to be active on Facebook but still scrolls down their news feed, that’s their call. I do that myself. I can’t be bothered with posting on Facebook because I have nothing to post but I still enjoy scrolling down my news feed to see what my favorite pages posted. Nothing wrong with that. It’s the same as being in a loud room with a bunch of people. You don’t have to talk too, you can simply listen to what they’re saying and not say a word. Some people aren’t as loud as others and they prefer to not say anything either because they don’t have anything to say or because they’re not comfortable saying it.

Why do people that know you delete you from facebook?

different people use facebook for different purposes. Some use it only with their close friends. Having too many friends can clog up your news feed, making it harder to find out what your actual friends are doing. Also as you said you don't use facebook much, they might see there is no real point having you on there anymore.

Don't look into it too much. It is unfortunate that people you like have removed you, but if you didn't contact them via facebook, what does it really matter.
