Why are people obsessed with vampires?
Yeah, writers are on Vampire Overload...(overkill?) As for interest in Vampires...I've always been fascinated in the Supernatural. I watched the old Gothic soap, "Dark Shadows" when I was a little girl-and I think that's what hooked me. I think it's the idea of the danger-for both the vampire and anyone around them. It's the romance-vamp falls for mortal and the ever present emotional war of "Will He (or She) Bite?" It's the hope/curse of Eternal Life...(on Earth-as a "mortal") It's the thought that one can live forever and see and do everything-laugh at Death - and live and do "it" all-everything you've ever dreamed of. It's an escape into a world-not so very far from the one that we're in-but that we can only watch...and wonder... If you could live forever, would you want to?

everyday i think about vampire. last halloween i was a vampire.......i think i wanna be a vampire again. i have vampire teeth....fake ones. i love watching vaMPIRE WHATS WRONG WITH ME?!!!! everyday VAMPIRES!!!
Why do people like vampires??!?
Darlings, people liked vampires LONG before Twilight. Have we forgotten Anne Rice? Buffy? Good grief. What attracts people to vampires is more than the sex. It's the licentiousness that draws them. And the the element of sophistication - if you are going to live forever you have the opportunity to read every book,see every play, watch every movie. Think of all the knowledge a vampire can have - now that's sexy. I'm with you though - Bella and Edward are insipid. And I never forgave Hollywood for casting Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt in Interview with a Vampire. Now if I were casting a movie with vampires I would opt for real men rather than little boys, like, say Viggo Mortenson and Daniel Craig. They would make great vampires. Why are we so obsessed with forbidden love (like vampires)? When I can't be with the one I love, I hurt alot..
Because be forbidden to do something, increases the temptation, and you will see that with Adam and Eve and the fruit, underage drinking, drugs, fornication.... It's the thrill/challenge of breaking the law...:)
