Why Are Retards So Happy

Why are retards always so happy?

LMAO.
They're head is always in the gutter..
hehe..

Why do we feel sorry for retards?

Ignorance is bliss.

Why is my mom such a retard?!?

Okay so i asked if i can go to my friends house and she said yes. And she went to the bathroom , So i waited out side the door cause i needed to ask a question, And her phone rang. It was an 800 number and she tells me not to answer those. So i didn't. And she came out of the bathroom and checked her phone and said "OH MY GOD, YOU DIDNT HEAR MY PHONE RING?!" I said "Yea but you tell me not to answer those" And then she got all mad and then said i cant go to her house cause im inconveniencing them and i cant just go live there. Im like WTF?! Where did that come from?!!?!?!?!?. And so i had to call her and say i cant go to her house. And my friend got mad cause their not busy and they would be more than happy to let me over. And so i tried telling my mom its just more of an inconvenience to say yes and then say no five minutes later cause they were expecting me over. And she says im over too much and im inconveniencing them, And she says i do nothing around the house (Which is not true cause SHES the one that does nothing). And so im just like Wtff?! And my mom said that shes just throwing me onto them all the time. And im like, Um no? I go to their house 1nce or 2wice a week. And they love having me over. And i cant even say that because she tells me to shut up and interrupts me and never lets me speak. So what the heck is wrong with her?! My friend and I were SO happy that i could go over and she just ruined it. And she always does this. And she says no for NO REASON. I don't give a crap if she can cause shes my mom. She wouldn't like it if i said she cant go hang out with her friends on saturday nights for no reason. So why is she randomly doing this?!

Why is retard such a bad word?

Why shouldn't you use the word 'retard'?If you are a Catholic teen who sings in the choir, you may not want to be known as a "choir-boy" even though this may be an accurate description of your gender and activity. If you have acne, you don't want to be known as 'zit face.'If you are a Jewish teenaged male, you may not want to be called a "Jew-boy" even though this may be an accurate description of your religion and gender. If you are African-American, you may not want to be called a "Negro" even though this may be an accurate description of your race. If you are a woman you may not want to be called a "bitch" even though this may be an accurate description of your gender and temperament. Similarly, all these unwanted words have one thing in common: those who are thusly labeled by these terms dislike the terms used -- or hate them."Retard" is a bad word to use because the people so labeled feel diminished by its use. That should be enough of a reason not to use it.Or don't you care?I ask whether you, (and we by extension) care, because I am seeing a callous disregard for the feelings of others as far as this term goes--not just on Quora, but all over the internet. Just because people with cognitive impairments may not be the largest population using the internet and Quora doesn't mean that we all, with our beautiful language capabilities, should ignore our brothers and sisters and disregard their feelings. Our use of language on the internet will now survive our lifetimes. Why publish something that is so hurtful, and perpetuates something stereotypical and mean that should have died long ago (the belief that people with disabilities are inferior, which is what the word in question perpetuates among its users)? It is only with a practiced bit of humanity and humility that we can get along and help one another to live long and happy lives. Let's practice keeping our language consistent with our ethical beliefs and avoid using words like the one in question, which is felt as demeaning by those so labeled.Remember that disability often occurs suddenly. You may be the one with a cognitive impairment wanting others to respect you, one catastrophic and sad day. I hope not, but we never know our lot in life until we live it. Let's clean up our language to show respect for one another in the meantime. How hard can it be to find another word?

What do people think of retards?

thats a very disgusting, naive, ignorant way of looking at things. what would you say if you had a family member in that position? i doubt you would talk in this disgraceful manner towards them.

that's why there is corruption and poverty on this planet. people like you look down on all people and things that you feel are not 'worthy of our efforts' what about the elderly? when your old, you may not have your family to look after you.. does that mean you wouldn't take the support of the government if need-be? a well thought argument regarding tax payers money would be along the lines of those claiming benefits for no other reason apart from laziness is a waste of tax payers money. seriously, learn the facts, grow up and stop being so obtuse and ignorant. with that mentality, only someone with telepathy would know what's going through your head about gender, race, religion or just humanity all together. luckily for you, that isn't possible so, for your own benefit, keep your discriminatory thoughts to yourself and learn to be tactful in your arguments.

Would you rather be the happiest retard or the most depressed genious?

I'd be happy if people in yahoo land could spell genius (not genious, which the spell checker caught as soon as I typed it) or would at least let the spell checker help them.

How do I call someone a retard in Japanese?

I don’t really like the word “retard” as an insult. It’s really hard to use it without coming across as uneducated or unintelligent yourself. I’d be happy, however, to share some Japanese insults that you might prefer to use:くたばれ (kutabare) - “Drop dead!”, you would use this similar to how you’d use “Go to Hell!” in Englishやつめ (yatsume) - When you call somebody this, you’re essentially saying “You’re an unpleasant person” or “Nobody likes you”やかましい (yakamashii) - “Shut up!”このやろう (kono yarou) - Essentially “You piece of shit” or “You piece of garbage”. Usually you’d say this if you were angry or arguing.きさま (kisama) - Basically, it’s used the same way you’d use the word “You”, except saying it this way would be considered rude or insultingぶす (busu) - Essentially the equivalent of calling someone (a woman, usually) a dog in order to insinuate that they’re uglyへんたい (hentai) - That’s right, hentai. Not a lot of people know that actually means “perverted” or “pervert”くそがき (kusogaki) - Essentially calling somebody an “unpleasant child” or a brat.わるがき (warugaki) - Another way to call somebody a bratくちきたない (kuchikitanai) - Negative or “bitchy”If none of these are to your liking, here are a few that specifically insult intelligence (since you wanted to use the word ‘retard’):あほ (aho) - Idiot, fool or moron. Usually used as an exclamation (“You idiot!” “You moron!”)ばか (baka) - Idiot, foolまぬけ (manuke) - This means “missing a beat”, you would use it to describe somebody who you think is a loser, clueless or not very brightとろい (toroi) - “Slow”, as in slow to catch on or understand instructionsのろま (noroma) - “Twit” or “Dunce”Enjoy

Have you noticed that mentally retarded people are happier than the rest of the population?

I've noticed that in quite a few of them. Not all, of course, but the ones who are like that don't worry about (can't comprehend?) societal norms and expectations, so they don't have the raging inferiority complexes and conformity issues that most others have. I don't care about those things, either, which has led to some people trying to slap me with Asperger's or high-functioning autism (not mental retardation, but still silly to diagnose in someone they've only met once!)

Why do some people get offended by the word "retarded"? Isn't the definition accurate?

Other people have already covered the definition, so I won’t re-tread that ground. Instead, I want to tell you a story…and then ask you a question at the end.Ready? You’re five years old and you are sooooo very excited to go to school like your big brothers. Except, then your mom tells you that you have to go before something called a school board, because they think you have to go to a special school because your legs don’t work. And after you go before the board and fight for what every other child gets automatically, they let you go to regular school. But when you go out on the playground, the kids tell each other to stay away from the retard, because if you get too close you might get it. And you don’t know what that word means because your family never used it, but it makes you cry because you know they’re being mean. You’re eight years old and you get invited to a party. It’s the first time anyone in your life has invited you to a party and you are thrilled. It takes hours to pick out a present, but the family can’t afford it, so you save up your allowance for weeks so you can afford to take it to the birthday girl. But then, you get to the party, and everyone laughs. And the birthday girl gives back the present and tells everyone she only invited the retard as a joke. This time, you know what it means, but you don’t let yourself cry in front of them. You’re thirteen, and your classmates have never had a disabled student in their class before. When they circle you so all of them can call you awful things, but mostly retarded, your teacher tells you that you have to forgive them, because they fear what they don’t understand. But you don’t understand why ignorance and fear are a reason to make someone feel less than human. You’re still thirteen, and that same day…you walk home, and refuse to cry, because you aren’t sure you’ll stop. You know those kids will do it again and get away with it. And a car drives by, puts down the passenger window and from inside, someone yells “Go home and sober up, retard,” before they speed away laughing hysterically.…I could go on and on and on…these were only a few of so many instances, I honestly can’t tell you exactly how many times someone has used that word to belittle me, to make me feel like less of a person, someone worthless who has nothing to contribute to society.Do you honestly still think the original definition of the word matters even one tiny, little bit when someone uses that word?
