Why Are Some Of My Real Questions Being Block

Why are my questions being blocked (Ghosted)?

https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index...

This one was ghosted earlier and someone from Yahoo set it straight. Now it is back to being ghosted again and I can't recover it again.

Ghosted means it appears in my site but not in the Global Warming site.

I mean by ghosted is that I see them in my personal folder (for lack of a better name0 but they aren't registered in the overall Global Warming folder. I sometimes get this back by changing categories to something other than Global Warming. Then I change the category back to Global Warming and it is there. I had an earlier question:

https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index...

And it was even ghosted. I got it back again by changing categories back and forth.

It appears to be happening to all my questions so it has to be a deliberate act. If it is not by Yahoo personel, then you are being hacked!

Which one is it?

Why did Quora block me from asking questions?

Why did Quora block me from asking questions?Judging from this particular question, you haven’t learned how to actually write one. You have to provide more than just a general question. But, given that I’ve seen this kind of question multiple times, I’m going to make some general guesses…You’re questions are improperly formatted, or don’t really ask a question. They may be rhetorical, or create too many assumptions. You’re a troll, and you’ve had a number of downvoted questions. They may violate BNBR.You’re hiding behind “anonymous” when writing inflammatory or trollish questions. Being anonymous only hides you from other users, but Quora moderators can see who you are.I’m betting you’re in the item 2 and 3 category. Writing trollish and mean spirited questions that have gotten you reported. Without samplings of your questions, though, I can’t really say for sure. But, I’m betting you’ve gotten at least one or two warnings from Quora moderators, and you decided to ignore them, which is why you’re now coming here asking this question under another account, which, judging by the “Quora User” placeholder, was flagged by the moderators as a fake name.

Why do rude Christians block people and then ask questions to the people they've blocked?

Is it so they can then take joy in their petty bull? I just comment in someone else's answer, or with a longer answer, I make a new question, because you know, if I'm going to put my fingers on the keyboard and leak out my genius online, I expect it to make it online. I never block anyone, I mean I would if they constantly messaged me ridiculous nonsense in personal messages, but you know, anybody who ever messaged me usually gave up after about two or three messages about some ridiculous nonsense, I sometimes replied, but it's not that sort of site where you're meant to do that. If you ask a question, the reasonable thing to do is let everyone answer, so you get a realistic cross section of what people in the real world think. I mean, when I ask questions, I want a small percentage of fundamentalist religious answers, even if I don't agree with them, it's so you get variety.

Can you block questions by anonymous posters on Quora?

There are straightforward ways of avoiding anonymity on Quora.  From Anonymous's answer to Is there any way to block someone who has posted anonymously on Quora?"Anonymous comments on questions and other answers have already been banned. Anonymous users can write an answer and comment on their own answer. Anonymous users can also post questions, in which case they can comment on any answer on that page.If you don't wish to interact with anonymous users, don't answer questions posted anonymously, and don't comment on anonymous questions."So you are already protected from anonymous replies to your answers, and if you don't answer or follow questions asked by anonymous individuals, avoid following topics and follow people instead (per How to Minimize the Amount of Junk You See on Quora), you can almost wholly avoid anonymous content.Sorry that this is an incomplete solution, but it's a startup and nothing is perfect. That said, I must join the chorus of voices urging you to try out this hot new consumer internet product called "anonymity."  As with many things in the past that were discredited by poor initial implementations but later revitalized in a new implementation (e.g. search -> Google, social networking -> Facebook), it has played a key role in creating much unique value on Quora.  Perhaps you would like to "don a peasant's clothing to see what the villagers are saying when they don't know they are in the presence of the king."

Why does Quora have a block first, ask questions later approach to its real name policy?

Sadly, there are a lot of bad actors who come to Quora who are intent on abuse, harassment, spamming, and other damaging behaviors.  Those willfully antisocial griefers chase away valued contributors and risk destroying the usefulness of the site.I am sorry that you were inconvenienced. Quora loves new members who participate honestly and fairly.  Because the signup process is so open, the moderators have to walk a fine line of welcoming new contributors and stopping malicious vandals.  Please do not take it personally.  The moderators have a very hard job, and there are lots of really awful people who arrive on fake names. Please forgive the discourtesy, and please stick around.  If you spend any appreciable time on Quora, especially in controversial topics, you will come to appreciate the shoot-first-ask-questions-later moderation model.  They are always trying to improve it, so keep the feedback coming.

Why did Quora block me because of my name?

Can Quora stop blocking me for my name?Hi “Vex”. I have difficulty believing that is your name, and I guess Quora thinks so too. On this site REAL NAMES are essential. I know there are a lot of suss ones, but thats because there are too few staffers to monitor it.Thing is you started out as “Wexen Art”. Bogus for sure. Then you became “Wex” and now you are “Vex”. So really you are busted. Its just a matter of time before your account is banned I would guess, unless you come clean and have some proof Quora is happy with.Added later. If you cannot use a real name, as you indicated in a comment, because of stalkers, you could get around that posting under “anonymous” but you still need a REAL name on the account profile. But my advice if you are being stalked on the internet is to not use social media at all. Because I and probably others are not keen on the large number of questions coming from “anonymous” of late. I wont generally answer them. And I can tell because I have an add-on that shows me the O.P.I see the question I answered, and thus the user I researched, has now merged with several others, meaning no one else can actually easily figure out what is going on. Merges that rely on the O.P. for information really should not be subject to merges. Thats ELEVEN questions ALL merged by Kristin Annexstad in a few minutes. Thanks not.

Should Quora provide an option to block all anonymous questions?

I would love the option to turn off anonymous questions appearing on my feed on a topic by topic basis.  There are lots of good reasons to be anonymous, including that you have a highly sensitive job and writing under your own name might be problematic, you want to refer to people but if you did it under your own name, people might know, etc. There are lots of times though when this is not... We are Anonymous and we ask the questions on Quora: So how many questions are asked by anon users? by Laura Hale on quora numbers  shows some of this on a topic by topic basis. That's four topics.  Chemistry and Startups feel a bit harder to understand why people need to be anonymous, but okay, rarely harm or foul there.  If I had topic by topic filter for anonymous, I'd be happy to leave these showing anonymous answers. Women though?  Jesus Christ on a pogo stick.  Let's go to  When men and women ask questions about men and women, they differ by Laura Hale on quora numbers.  Yes, for the love of all things holy, please let me block these. So I did a discourse analysis of the questions included in the men and women's topics.  The table above includes the percentage of elements found for different types of users where their background and gender was known.  One group had 49% of their questions imply negative things about women in a topic where over 50% of the questions are anonymous.  There is a problem.  It does need to be addressed.  I'm not certain allowing me to not view anonymous questions (and their non-anonymous answers) in this topic is a real solution, but it would be better than nothing.Better control over topic display would be hugely appreciated.  (Also better tagging control to improve accuracy and get things into more subtopics instead of top level.)  I would love to have topic level control to block these questions from my feed so I can actually read useful questions in these topics on things like women's health, women in technology, women in sport, etc.
