Why Are Some People Just Happy Going Out For Italian Food When Its Not Really Good

Which is best, French food or Italian food?

I once was invited to eat at the French Senate. I thought, rather naively, that as these Fr...ench politicians usually do themselves fine, that I was in for a first-class bit of graze... Wrong! The starter was fine, loads of cold cuts - never mind the woman-food! - ham, etc. But I took it gently, because I was waiting for the real thing. And in the end, it arrived. A pathetic medallion of nondescript meat that you could put your thumb and forefinger round, with three green beans arranged like a fan, a couple of roundels of carrot, and a dab of some sort of sauce to finish what was essentially more a piece of abstract art than serious food. Pretentious buggers, the French. Can't stand them. Or their pretend food.

German food, though, is great. Huge pieces of pig, lots of potatoes or noodles, loads of gravy, and me in the middle looking happy!

But of the two choices above, it's Italian any day. Love the stuff.

Are Italians happy with the way Pizzas are made outside Italy?

I have had worked with Italian’s in the Italian cheese industry, I am sure they will say: I don’t care, I don’t give damn.Top 17 Italian Gestures Explained. Including The Rude ones!A good portion of my working career was spent in the Canadian cheese plants, and incidentally in the Italian Cheese plants.I was also very fortunate to work with the Italian Canadians, Ist, 2nd and may third generation Italian Canadians. They never made any expression of happiness or sadness.Pizza industry is a huge industry, especially in the North America. The main beneficiary had been Italian Americans/ Italian Canadians. I know mega rich and at least one multi billionaire in this trade. Are they unhappy about it: Of course not, no matter, what you add on the topping. And the Italians cashed in this business on the mega success of this product. It is valid in the food industry when the original product is a transplanted in another country/culture there has to be changed.Italians friends I know they did not give two hoots, so far they made tremendous amount of money in this business. Typical Italian gesture: F word and famous” “ don’t worry about” and Mama Mia: Pineapple on the Pizza. Then “ “ don’t worry about”For example.a. Are curried dishes the same in Canada as in India? Are we Indians happy or sad? At least I do not care one or the other.b. The Chinese food in Canada is not remotely same as in China? Are the Chinese happy or sad? The most of my Chinese friends do not give a hoot.c. Indian food in the west indies is not at all the same, but it fits their needs, and they are happy. The consumer pays the bill and runs the business and not the happiness of the original country . And the list goes on.In a nutshell, local market controls the recipe and taste; it becomes a recipe and product.I hope it helps.Sam Arora. M.Sc.(Food Science), U of Guelph, Canada, M.Sc. Why do i hate italian men?Anything wrong with me?

you hardly find a gentleman among them. they are selfish sometimes!!!I cant trust italians!

How do I make a good impression on my bf's strict Italian parents?

First of all, they might even have a problem with women from my family, because we are Sicilian rather than nothern Italian. Then again, they might just fall head over heels for you. Italians are very warm-hearted people. :-)

Like everyone, Italians are very proud of their culture. I think the very best thing you can do is show an interest in their city Milano [rather than an interest in Italy itself]. As you probably know, it's a clothing fashion design center. Also, it's the center of banking in Italy. There is a saying "for every church in Rome, there is a bank in Milano."

Leonardo Da Vinci's painting "The Last Supper" is located there. Milan's cathedral took nearly 800 years to build; it's the third largest cathedral in the world. It is amazing [and, you can actually go on the roof of the cathedral...what a view from there!]

Milanese cuisine is very good. I suggest you do some quick reading about it. [link below]. As you will learn, they eat more rice than pasta, and do not usually use tomatoes in their sauces. [Imagine how many non-Italians know that!!!] Ask what they like most about their local cuisine. One of the favorite dishes is "risotto", a rice dish that is famous around the world.

Most of all, be your most gracious, poised, dignified self. [more formal that you would probably be with an American boyfriend's parents] They will expect that you treat them with respect, but of course you will already be planning to do that, right? Show a lot of interest in them as people. This will ensure that you are treated with respect in return.

Buona Fortuna [good luck]

PS "Ciao" is an informal greeting, not one to be used with his parents for a while.

Open a Lasagneria like a fast-food restaurant where you make best lasagna in a variety of ingredients and flavors? What do you think?

Hello everyone I am a chef and I live in Italy. I'm really good at making lasagna, I have several ideas on how to make them and I can make them with various different ingredients. My dream would be to open a Lasagneria in America in New York. Where do the most good lasagna ever. I already have some ideas on how to organize everything for the kitchen, it would be as a kind of fast-food, you choose the lasagna you want, you sit and wait for you to be served. If you want you can add other Italian specialties such as crepes, pasta gratin and canneloni. I'm a young guy I am 23 years old, currently working in adelicatessen for 5 years now with my employer. I would like to know if it's possible to do and what would be the minimum investment to make. My idea would be to open the lasagnerie in various parts of the world where people know they are eating the most delicious lasagna in the world! If you have any suggestions for me I would be really happy to read them! I'm just a normal guy like many others, this is my dream! I'm really curious to read your answers. Greetings to all!Peace.
