Why Are Some People So Devoted To Work

Why do some people fail despite their hard work?

You will fail even if you give your 1000% at something a lot of time accept that.FAILURE= First Attempt At LearningThere's a difference between failing and losing. If you're doing something and give your all, only thing you should expect is contentment aka feeling of “Ahh I gave my best, let's see what happens now”.Rule of thumb is “ Outcome is never under your control, there are N number of factors on which outcome is dependent.”Let's take example of sports, A Batsman get a bouncer, he hit the pull shot (which in his knowledge was best shot to play that ball with), a really tall fielder suddenly comes running on that side of field, he jumps and accidentally catches the ball. Now did the batsman failed? Big No !!He hit the ball with right shot, he did what was in his hand, he was content. Now since he got caught out he learned that he need to hit such shot with much power and started working on it. He failed (looking from perspective of match) but did not lose. Losing is whining about failing at something you gave your best shot at. But if you learn from it, you're the real winner.Let's look at other side, the tall fielder. The tall fielder just thought maybe he can catch the ball, he gave his 100% and fortunately he did catch it. Just imagine if he slipped due to some disbalance or grass on field, then? How many times this happens that a guy who's a great fielder is unable to catch simple ball?.Bottom-line is yet again - Outcome is never under your control, all you can do is give your best shot, there are N numbers of other factors over which outcome is dependent. So don't expect, keep learning, keep pouring your 100%, and learn from your failure.P.S - Knowledge credits to Krishna from Bhagwad Gita <3

Why are some people so much harder workers than others?

It is what they have been enabled to do. People get used to hand outs. They get comfortable and some people know if I stay poor I will get help- its stupid. Some people were never handed anything and their families instilled hard work into them-it was their lifestyle and what THEY know. I think the government enables a lot and it's a great thing- IF people it didnt abuse it, but they do abuse it. If a doctor lost his job, they wouldn't get damn near what someone that hasnt worked in years would and it's sad.

Why are some people so mean to retail workers?

Reason 1) It has to do with power; retail workers generally can't freak out on the customer, so it's about someone who generally feels inadequate and needs to assert his power somewhere in life.
2) It's a "safe" fight; the customer knows the retail worker can't do much back, so it's an unequal fight, and the customer can say whatever w/out any reprimand or fear of retribution on the spot.
3) It stems from the general sense of entitlement and lack of manners that is a bit too pervasive in our society.
4) the customer is generally unhappy about the service and feels that he is "oweed" something more for his money.

All are possible, but I think #4 is almost never the "complete" reason.

Why are many (not all) people who work at mechanic shops so rude and arrogant?

My mechanics (I know four good ones) are pleasant and willing to carry on a conversation while they work. But it's not necessarily the case with all mechanics. Some really have to concentrate on what they are doing and would prefer to be left alone. Some of them do not want customers asking them, "What's that thing you're working on? Is it broken? I bet that's the frabulator. Don't tell me I need a new one."

Some mechanics do not speak English very well, and prefer not to be trapped into having to talk.

If you REALLY want to annoy a mechanic, then disassemble the part you think is broken before you take it in for repair, and ask for a discount because you saved part of the labor.
