Why are the Minnesota Vikings allowed to keep their logo trademarked? It is very offensive to Scandinavian people and..?

...makes fun of them by using historically inaccurate images.

Why won't Obama and the left-wing, fascist extremists in this country demand that the Vikings change their name and logo?

Why is it that you can only be prevented from disparaging a group if it is a "protected" group? Why do left-wing fascists like Obama and his brownshirts get to decide who these "protected" groups are?

Why are black Americans stereotyped as liking grape soda (drink)?

Disclaimer: I am speaking from experience, not because my answer is true per se. This is just what I notice with my eyes and ears.Black people don't like grape soda more than any other soda. I, for one, actually hate soda. I think Dave Chapelle did a lot to promulgate (however unintentionally) the 'grape drink' stereotype. Many horribly naive non-black youth loved and revered Chapelle (rightfully so!) but they take every single joke he makes about black people and then think it is a stereotype. Perhaps, his point could have been just that: "i can say any random thing and attach it to an ethnicity and people will begin to extrapolate wildly."The stereotype about fried chicken and watermelon (which are both obviously delicious - or maybe I am simply genetically predisposed to their seductions) go further back to minstrelsy, blackface, and other hallmarks of vulgar humor. To directly address the latter comments of your question, I truly disdain when people avoid doing things because they are worried about stereotypes. If you like watermelon and fried chicken, please eat with all manner of vigor and vitality. But to speak seriously, this stereotype comes from artificially flavored sodas being very cheap in many poor (inner city - and sometimes black) communities. Grape soda is usually the highest in sugar content so kids like it the best. But i grew up drinking orange, strawberry, peach, etc. This company had a vending machine in front of the gloriously cheap supermarket right by my house (all drinks were 25 cents):http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FaygoBasically anything color combination you can make with corn syrup and artificial flavoring is an automatic success. But now I drink tea (look at what a snob I've become...)

What do football players think of the uniform number 69?

It's an offensive linemen number.  Typically offensive linemen fall into 2 different categories: 1. Quiet, smart, under the radar2. Brash, over-compensating for lack of recognitionThe players feelings on the number would depend greatly on which bucket the player falls into. 1, Would most likely be randomly assigned the number and think nothing of it. 2. Would most likley seek out the number and use it at nauseum as a punchline in a never ending stream of locker room jokes.

Why hasn't the name of the Washington Redskins been changed?

I'm sure it's pure cost-benefit analysis driven by dollars... which is a roundabout way toward agreeing with User. They don't care because there's been no financial reason to care.Their paying customers sure don't care. They buy the jerseys, they fill the seats, some of them even go along with the racism by painting their faces and wearing headdresses. Hard to believe the guys who used to dress up in pig noses and women's dresses to salute "The Hogs" in the 80s were the classy ones. They're willing to boycott the team for charging admission for pre-season practices but this clearly hasn't registered on their radar. The advertisers don't care, and in fact the team is insulated from a lot of that pressure because most of the TV money in the NFL is national, not local. In baseball, where TV money is tilted toward local, you might see advertisers put a little pressure on the team to change; here, Budweiser can just delude themselves into the idea that only 1/32nd of their support is racist -- that's, like, 3%! The local money in football is usually confined to a few pre-game and post-game shows, and radio... comparatively small potatoes.Sadly, the group that DOES care is a) fairly small, b) geographically diverse (so not that many of them were season-ticket holders anyway), and c) many of them care up to a point, but ultimately would rather invest their energies dealing with 20 other issues that are more important to their local communities than the name of a football team hundreds or thousands of miles away. So the people who are most frustrated aren't really going to be able to impact the team's bottom line that much.Do the math. Until one can monetize public embarrassment and/or make the core fans understand and become uncomfortable supporting it, it's doubtful things will change.

Which is your favorite sports team and why?

Being a fan of multiple sports teams in both professional sports as well as college sports that is a very difficult question to answer. Growing up I loved 1990-1991 Running Rebels of UNLV, The Fab Five at Michigan 1991-1993, 1996–1998 Chicago Bulls, 1998 Minnesota Vikings, 2005 UNC Basketball, 2009 UNC Basketball, 2014 Oregon Duck Football, 2015-2017 Oregon Duck Basketball! If I had to go with one though out of any team of all-time man I have to go with 1998 Minnesota Vikings! Randy Moss, Cris Carter, Jake Reed as one of the greatest receiving corps of all-time! One of my favorite QB's ever in Randall Cunningham, as well as one of my favorite RB's ever in Robert Smith. John Randle anchoring a underrated Vikings defense and then of course the greatest season ever by a Kicker in Gary Anderson who didn't miss all season until his last kick! The Vikings were unstoppable on Offense and they were just so much fun to watch! Even if they beat Atlanta that year I still don't think they beat Denver with Elway at QB! Still a fun fun team to watch and by far my favorite team ever!

Are there any girls that would ever date a guy who stutters? Why or why not?

I'm a stutterer. Will always be. I dated a few girls in my time.Like most things in life, it depends. Some don't think it's a big deal. Others are embarrassed to be seen with you when you stutter in front of other people. Worst yet, several will tell you what you should do in order to talk normally. As if they know stuttering better than you do.One day I went to a store with a girl I was dating at that time. When I couldn't say my name, she told me to write down my name. "So it's easier for everybody."I dated another girl for a while. She was nice. But always downplayed the impact stuttering has on my life. "It's just a minor problem. Why are you so obsessed?"So, to answer your question, there are girls who will date a person who stutters. But it's really difficult to build a meaningful relationship.Stuttering goes way beyond the stuttered speech you see on the surface. And it's just hard for a normal fluent person to understand the effect (and/or damage) stuttering has on our psychological make-up.I just got tired of it. I gave up on relationship. Sorry I don't have a better answer. Life is not rosy. Life is hard. So be it.
