Why Are Their Drugs In The Black Community

Why are there leaders for the black community (i.e. Al Sharpton) but no leaders for the white community?

I'm going to go way out on a limb here and say that the leaders of the white community are  ..... politicians.  Those older, slightly overweight white guys in the expensive suits? Sometimes they are Mayor This, or Governor That, or sometimes Senator Somebody.  Do you mean spiritual leaders? Billy Graham? Oral Roberts? Robert Schuller?

What happened to the black community?

I was having a conversation with a friend of mines and she bought up the subject about how the black community is ruined. In my opinion riots, gangs, and black power movements like the black panthers were the cause of the reason why the black community is the way it is now. Because cities like watts, chicago, new york etc. all had huge riots and druglords back in the 60s that did nothing but sell drugs and create violence in the black community. Do anyone else have a good reason as to what happened to the black community?

Did the government put drugs in the black community?

The government certainly had an informant put barbiturates in Fred Hampton's drink before he passed out and was assassinated by the FBI. You can find several other examples of government staging these type of events. Fred HamptonMore importantly, is how the government has used drugs as a means for population control. The statistics alone on this issue is very disturbing. Prisons are one  of the fastest growing industries in the United States. The 10 Fastest Growing Industries Another good read is the early laws on marijuana, its almost hysterical when you read through the transcripts that our leaders and the so called experts had made. But the amusement soon vanishes when you look at our current drug policies. History of the Non-Medical Use of Drugs in the United States. Its also interesting to note that many street gangs, such as the crips, started out as social movements to better the community. Numerous examples such as the Black Panthers had been systematically destabilized, the Black Panthers also started as a means to better the community, but had a rather dismal outgrowth from the destabilization.

Are gangster rap videos and music posion to black communities?

Yes but,

You have a choice to drink alchohol, you have a choice to smoke cigarettes, you have a choice to listen to horrible music. It can cause a psychologial affect on youth and teens but, it was their choice and the choice of their parent(s).

A poison cannot affect you if you prevent it from entering your system.

Why can't the black community in the US come together in a specific place and call for some independence from the white government?

The Black community isn’t a hive mind; they are composed of numerous tribes with their own goals, ideologies, political leanings, etc. “Black Nation” would be a more accurate descriptor. It would not be easy for all Blacks to come together to build up their economic-political power under a “Blackness” banner for two reasons:It isn’t natural to do so under racial phenotype. The European ethnic groups were able to come together under the economic theft system of “whiteness” and perpetuated over centuries, because it was fueled by the obscene wealth amassed from their colonialist blight, as well as the fear of being wiped out from vengeance wars. For Blacks to come together—even for their own basic-level defense against centuries of traditional anti-Black systemic racism—it would take something equally as extreme, since the documented anti-Black racist abuses thus far have proven inadequate to the task.Whites are understandably extremely protective of their White Supremacist Ideology and the anti-Black systemic racism for which it stands. They have literally spared no expense in making sure Blacks do not rise up and reverse the reins of power, which includes both physical and psychological terror campaigns that have induced a macabre trust in the abuser from the abused.

Is drug use in African American community a conspiracy ?

Drug use is not a conspiracy in the black community, but a very strong case can be made for the laws themselves being a conspiracy against communities of color and those of little financial means. The Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1986 is a perfect example. The death of Len Bias played a major role in the passing of this legislation. It is the legislation that is responsible for the crack/powder cocaine sentencing disparity. Without knowing much about Bias's death, the act would encourage one to think that he died of a crack overdose. He died of a powder cocaine overdose. This fact was completely ignored and crack was labeled the greater evil. It is recurring theme in American history to more harshly criminalize the behaviors believed to be more predominant among minorities and the poor. This was a major aspect of Jim Crow laws and it continues to this day. The difference today is it tends to be more subtle and easily ignored.

Why are children out of wedlock so common in the black community?

Also, I think it is interesting that in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, the out of wedlock pregnancy is pretty high as well.  I think this is partly because people choose not to be married.  Many children of nonmarried parents are still raised in a household with both parents. Also,  has it occurred to you that there is an absence of the Black male in the African American community.  Black men are much more likely to be incarcerate and for longer sentences in the USA.  Often given harsher sentences than their non Black counterparts and much more rigorously policed.  Just saying sometimes unfarely.  Also, Black men face higher unemployment.  Women are less likely to marry an unemployed man.  So being in a situation where the man is not a support, she will rely on herself or her family.I out of wedlock children is common in European/ Australia countries where the support for single mothers is quite high.EditReply47m agoMarie AbnerMarie Abner

Why are pimps and drug dealers idolized in black American culture?

So many movies and songs and novels in black American culture glorify pimps and dealers. The best-selling black author was a pimp named Iceberg Slim. Gangster Rap is built on the pimp/dealer image. Why do blacks choose these underworld figures who destroy the lives of so many in their communities, as role models and heroes?

Why did the United States treat black crack addicts so differently then white opioid addicts today?

Please don’t waste time by denying this. Blackaddicts were given decades to life in prison. Our addiction was treated as a moral failure and therefor criminalized. Whites addicted to opioids is now being treated as a medical emergency.
