Why do we live in a world full of hypocrites?
There’s an interesting book on this topic from the point of view of evolutionary psychology: Why Everyone (Else) Is A Hypocrite.I think it’s because we view ourselves in color and others in black and white.We see ourselves from the inside. We see all the reasons why we do things and all the rationalizations and motives and becauses. Our behavior is complex, but still usually makes sense to us. We are a full color diagram of a human being.When we look at others, however, we do not see all of these reasons and hidden motivations. We see only their words and actions and we make up reasons based on those things. Other people seem very simple to us, as though they are in black and white. It is easy for us to see what their problems are and the answers to their problems, because those problems stand out from the background more.However, this is an incorrect view. Other people see themselves in full color. They have reasons and motivations we know nothing of. I have a cousin who is always complaining about everything. She won’t stop calling my mother to talk about her problems. It’s easy for me to say, “She should learn to be grateful for what she has.” And yet I go to my mother to talk about my problems all the time and feel no guilt for doing so. Because I’m me, I don’t feel as though I complain all the time — I have reasons for my problems and thus my concerns seem more relevant than my cousin’s. I am a hypocrite; I don’t know what my cousin gets out of her talks with my mother. They may be the only thing that keeps her from killing herself. I don’t know and I doubt she’d ever tell me. The illusion I have that her problems are simple and straightforward is just an illusion — as is the illusion that my problems are complex and deserve attention while hers do not.The reason we live in a world of hypocrites is because we do not stop our own hypocrisy and by doing so, stop seeing other people as hypocrites.
Are Scorpios hypocrites?
2 things about Scorpios really confuse me and make me see them as hypocrites. 1st thing is that they expect and demand their partner to be fiercely loyal and to never cheat on them, BUT they themselves don't mind cheating, as long as their partner doesn't find out. (Or is it only in case they don't care much about that partner?) 2nd thing is that they expect their partner to be completely honest with them at all times, BUT they are so secretive and often lie to that same partner. Why can't you guys try to look at things from the other person's perspective? Stop expecting to receive the same things which you are not willing to give in return. I mean you can't expect someone to be honest with you, if you are not willing to be honest with them.
Why are tumblr people so annoying?
I'm sure it can seem that way from an outsider viewpoint, but you have to understand that Tumblr has developed its own grammatical rules, and within the context of Tumblr, all of this is correct and makes very much sense. Even the keyboard smashes have different meanings depending on which order the keys are smashed, though to others it will seem completely random. I was the same as you before I joined Tumblr, and even the smallest typo would bother me relentlessly. You'd be surprised how little time actually passes before you subconsciously start using it yourself. Do they annoy you? Well, there's a simple remedy for that. Avoid and ignore. Alternatively, do what I did. That also works. Don't forget, though, Tumblr is a huge website,and there are many different types of people who gather there. There are still thousands of those who use the English language the way you'd expect them to. Judging everyone as if they were the same would not look very good on your part.
Why do children and teens think adults are hypocrites?
Because we are. Straight-up.Parents and teachers:Somehow want kids that can think critically and creatively but stifle it as soon as the child asks any questions that are potentially embarrassing, “inappropriate” even when asked genuinely and not in a trolling context, against something they approve of, or contradict their edicts…but then scoff that kids are lazy and only interested in video games and Where Has The World Gone WrongSomehow want kids that can survive in the “real world” but can't be arsed to teach them about what taxes are and how to pay them, how to do their own laundry, how to cook anything more complex than hot dogs or Kraft dinner, or give them enough independence for them to figure it out themselvesExpect kids to be able to handle college when school before that IN NO WAY actually prepares them for it, and then harp on and shame them when they ask for helpExpect kids to have good problem-solving skills, but then complain when kids do things differently than how they were taughtCall kids selfish when they don't want to do something for the parent but then won't do things for the kid when askedEncourage kids to aim for what makes them happy but then discourage them from making choices they don't agree with despite the fact that little Jimmy might not want to be a doctor, Dad, and really would rather go to art schoolScreech about how the internet is full of predators and scammers but can't distinguish the ads from the actual links and sent their credit card number to “Microsoft” to get rid of a “virus”Laments about how kids these days are addicted to their devices, but give their old phones to three year olds to play withComplain about kids being “fat and lazy” when they won't let their kids outside to play or allow them to go anywhere by themselvesEtc, etc, ad infinitum……….
What are some reasons that people love Tumblr?

Why are people so sensitive these days?
I mean, I use tumblr but I'm not really an active user. I just follow a lot of blogs, but I don't ever reblog stuff or talk to people or anything, I'm sort of just an onlooker I guess. I follow a lot of feminist blogs because I think in general feminism has a good motive behind it, but it seems in the past year or two people have become so overly sensitive to everything, and it's only getting worse. People just cannot take jokes anymore, it seems like all the jokes that aren't either puns or poking fun at "white people" make people so angry they decide to write a 4 paragraph long rant about how "people like you are disgusting and destroying our society." People call "bullying" all the time, which is stupid because sometimes I read about people who are genuinely being harassed and have every right to get the law involved for help, and people try and call it bullying, comparing the teasing almost all kids end up going through at some point in their lives with real violence and harassment. There's the whole "ban bossy" thing going on now, and I just.. I feel like I've never heard of something so ridiculous. People are getting so upset over a WORD. I get the idea behind it, but people have blown things out of proportion. People will nitpick through a post and find some reason to get upset. We're teaching kids in school not to stand up for themselves against bullies, but instead that the bully themselves is just a horrible person who deserves to spend the rest of their life in jail for calling them a name. There's not even that big of a generation gap between me and kids today, but I can remember being a kid and being taught to stand up for myself against the bully, to not let words get me down and that sometimes life was unfair and it was something I just had to deal with.. So why exactly are people becoming so sensitive to everything lately? Am I the only one who's noticing this?
Is Deepika Padukone and the whole Bollywood industry a hypocrite?
Okay let's give an example here.Suppose you and you friends are hanging out and having fun. While doing so you and friends start clicking photos while making funny faces. Now while this is happening some random stranger walks past you and sees the faces you are making. So he clicks photos of you and puts it up on internet with the caption:"OMG! Spastic loser caught acting like a retard in public" Making sure to tag you so that everyone knows who you are.Will you not protest against this? And if you do, by your own argument wont this make you a hypocrite? After all you were doing exactly what the man did. Taking pictures while making funny faces.Yes the Indian movie industry objectifies women. And yes she and other actors have a role in it. But that's it, in a Bollywood movie it is her voluntarily acting a role. Just like you were voluntarily acting goofy with your friends in the scenario.Outside in the real world the media has no right to objectify her without her consent. Just like the stranger in the scenario has no right insult you for your actions.Here it is nothing more than moral policing and calling her a hypocrite is no more than victim blaming.
