What do you think of 2018 Swedish elections? Who are the Sweden Democrats?
The Sweden Democrats is a far right-wing party whose main political interest is anti-immigration and keeping the Swedish “race” pure. The “far right-wing” position is confirmed by party members consistently saying about anyone who doesn't agree with them that such people are “leftists” or even “left-extremists”. This would place the party in the region of fascists on the political scale. The race-purity ideology is confirmed by the party principles in their program, which says that people are defined by an inherited “essence” and that there should not be more than one “people” in a country.They received about 17 percent of the votes in the latest election. A problem may be that many of those who voted for the Sweden Democrats have no idea what the party really stands for and what their documented goals are (confirmed my many conversations with party followers on social media; typically, I copy and show a part of their party program, and I am then accused by party followers of lying).Typically, people vote for this party because they want to protest against the current government and the established political parties.
