Why Can I Not Lose The Fat At The Bottom Of My Stomach

Why can't I lose stomach fat?

I can remember a couple of times over the past few years where I felt like my stomach wasn't showing the same lean results as the rest of my body from workouts. I recall that what worked very quickly for me was incorporating jump-roping into my workout. After only a couple of weeks of jump-roping every day with a speed rope, my stomach was noticeably leaner. Jump-roping can be tough to do at first, even if you're in shape, but it's a great workout. I'd also look into whether or not you're paying attention to your lower back muscles. The lower back muscles and the abdominal muscles are related and pull on one another. They're like a girdle, or a set of shoelaces. If you only work on your stomach, but never your lower back, you're not supporting the whole musculature that tightens up the abdominal region.I also have noticed that cutting out certain unnecessary foods helped flatten my stomach. This meant way less sugar and cream in my coffee, no peanut butter, no soda, little to no candy, little to no high-fat cheese, and very little dressing on salads. I still ate whole wheat bread, but no granola/KIND bars or highly refined breads. I also drink zero alcohol. It's inflammatory and is heavy in empty calories. I also rarely drink fruit juice, as it is high in calories and sugar. Eating an apple is highly preferable to drinking apple juice.I'm not sure if you're accurately reporting your caloric intake. Sometimes people believe they're consuming that little (yours is reportedly low), when they are actually consuming hundreds of calories more. If you're correct in your reporting, I wouldn't suggest you cut calories, especially with how much you exercise. If you keep up the low calories, but eat high quality food and mix up your exercise routine, you may see results in a few weeks. I know the waiting is frustrating, but fitness goals take patience and time. And if you feel ravenous because you incorporated a lot more cardio or are building muscle, I wouldn't ignore that hunger. Don't "reward" yourself with hundreds of additional calories, but don't over-exercise and under-eat, either. You need fuel and protein to build the lean muscle that will burn calories while you're resting.I'm not a doctor or nutritionist, just a person who pays attention to what she eats and tries to take care of herself physically. I'm almost 40 years old and have maintained the same weight since I was in high school.

At the bottom of my stomach is a blob of fat.?

There's really nothing aside from liposuction that can get rid of it. I'm 5'7" 120 lbs and I still have the "pooch" at the bottom of my stomach. Unless you diet and lose ALL the fat on your body, it's not going to go away because you can't target the weight loss to one area. But once you are 18 you can get liposuction or you could do a less invasive process like lipodissolve (a bunch of injections that melts fat) or Tumescent liposuction which is surgical but doesn't involve general anesthesia.

Why is there a line at the bottom of my stomach?

Its like a line that goes across the bottom of my stomach, like pretty low.
I think its where I wear my jeans? Could that have something to do with it, or is this common with women...

I'm in pretty good shape, but it is kind of hard to get rid of the tiny bit of fat at the bottom of a girls stomach, right? Does that have something to with the line maybe?

I don't know, i just want it goneeeee...

Get rid of lower stomach fat?

Those 5 lbs you gained are body fat weight (not muscle, not water, not anything else).

If you want to lose your 'pooch' you need to lose those 5 lbs of body fat, and not lose anything else.

If you lose muscle or water weight, you will still have a pooch because those 5 lbs of fat are still there.

To 'gain' body fat, you need to eat more than you burn.

So, to 'lose' body fat, you need to 'burn' more than you 'eat'.

Cardio is the only way to burn body fat. Any other muscle exercises (like situps) only workout the muscles, not the fat covering them.

Be warned, cardio is really harsh and burns more muscle than fat. The only way to stop this is to do weight training to save your muscle from cardio. Working out one muscle group a week will keep it safe from cardio for the whole week.

So to lose 'body fat' only, you need:
1) Diet: Eat less than you burn, you will have to check this one out because it's different for each person.
2) Cardio: to lose fat and muscle
3) Weight lifting: to save muscle

It's only 5 lbs, so it shouldn't take more than 2-3 weeks max if you do everything right.

If you want to make sure you are on the right track, you can check your body composition (how much body fat, muscle, water, etc...) at any gym, hospital or health center. Check every week for better results. Make sure you lose those 5 lbs of fat :P

Cheers :)

Why am I not losing fat from upper body?

Every person holds fat in different places, for example-belly, arms, chest, thighs, butt etc.Eat clean and healthy- fresh fruits, vegetables, almonds, walnuts, oats, brown rice, egg whites, homemade paneer(cottage cheese), sprouts, dal, rajma, milk, chach, dahi.Cardio – running- helps in getting rid of belly fat (overall body fat).Strength training(helps build muscle and tones up the body)- assign each day to a body part, for example-Monday-LegsTuesday- ChestWednesday-BicepsThursday-BackFriday-TricepsSaturday –ShoulderStay away from sugar and deep fried foods, processed foods, maida.Run to lose belly fat(overall body fat) and do plank exercise everyday for abs.Chest Tone up exercises-Dumbbell PulloverBench Press (Barbell and/or Dumbell)Incline Bench Press (Barbell and/or Dumbell)Dumbell flyesPush-upsThe road to fitness is a long one, but if you are dedicated, disciplined and want to be fit, just work hard consistently and you will surely see great results. You need to be consistent in your efforts and be patient.P.S- I was an apple shape/V-shape combination- heavier upper body and leaner/thinner lower body. I worked out my legs twice a week-did a ton of squats, lunges, leg press, hamstrings, calves etc and put on muscle along with running on the treadmill for 20 minutes every day helped me lose weight from my belly.Source- My own experience with fitness(Not an expert but will get there)

My bottom part of my stomach is fatter than the top part of my stomach?

Do a lot of leg lifts and other lower ab workouts.... try planks too.... its actually very normal cause the lower abs are the hardest to work..... also do alot of cardio...the best to burn fat is a stairmaster...do like a half hour a day on 30 mins its not as hard as the other machines tho

Im skinny but still have stomach fat?

Im 15 and im skinny , Im very boney and litterally the only fat i have is in my lower stomach and boobs . My waist is kind of long but i still have long legs but my problem is my lower stomach gets bloated and its really soft . I have prominent hip bones and i don't have to lie down for them to be seen but if i move my hips one way all the fat goes to the opposite side. It looks really weird . I have jutting out hip bones with like a balloon at the bottom of my tummy , my rib cage is completely visable. basically the only bit of fat i have on my body is my stomach . I know you cannot spot reduce but i think its my diet . I have to lose this fat its not muscle its complete fat . I have no muscle on my body at all . except my legs which is another story . but it makes me feel fat .
Could i be lactose intolerent . what carbs should i eat .
This type of fat is not genetic it litterally feels like im carrying it around .

Today i ate a suasage roll ... and some grapes
patato chips and drank soda and that was it .

what should i be eating and this is what i eat on most days . I didn't eat it all at the same time tho so its ok .

what do i do !!!

Lower stomach fat? how do i get rid of it? my upper stomach is toned but not the bottom?

before you even get on to workouts you need to make sure your diet is sorted out. more than 50 % of how you want to look and feel is controlled by your diet. You can work out as much as you like but if you eat the wrong foods you will not see the results you're after. So be very sure of the amounts of calories you are having per day and if you are looking to lose weight you should be consuming less than you are using so your body metabolises fat and you lose weight. if you dont want to start 'counting' calories then you should aim to eat healthily i.e no junk etc, no meals after 6pm etc.

Supposing thats all done then you need to vary the type of crunches that you do. as in incline, or raising your legs and also by actively tensing your lower abs when u do an ab exercise.

but bear in mind everyone has a 'problem area' where they seem to cllect weight. this will come off but dont be disheartened if it takes some extra effort.

good luck!
