What exactly does "Birthday Cake" ice cream taste like? I am lactose intolerant and have to take a lot of those expensive lactaid pills to eat even a little bit of ice cream so I'd like to know before I buy it.
How do I keep an ice cream cake cold?
I would recommend placing the ice cream cake in a cooler filled with dry ice. Dry ice has a surface temperature of -109.3 degrees Fahrenheit (-78.5 degrees C). Dry ice also has the very nice feature of sublimation -- as it breaks down, it turns directly into carbon dioxide gas rather than a liquid. The super-cold temperature and the sublimation feature make dry ice great for refrigeration. For example, if you want to send something frozen across the country, you can pack it in dry ice. It will be frozen when it reaches its destination, and there will be no messy liquid left over like you would have with normal ice.
Can I get sick from eating 3-month-old ice cream cake?
You would be surprised at how much your mind will factor into this equation. If you aren't sure about it 100 percent in your mind you will run a greater chance of FEELING ill. As stated in another contributors answer, Bacteria growth slows to a near stop when frozen. This being an ice cream cake you should be more than fine in all physical aspects. Mentally you are on your own lol.
Why were desserts like ice cream and cake invented when they have such little nutritional value?
Because they taste nice, also they have fats, sugars, starches, maybe some fruit and nuts in them, all are some form of nutrition. The most important point is though that they taste nice and sometimes you just want something that tastes nice. And hey, if you don’t want to eat them because “they have such little nutritional value”, then don’t. I will.

Preparing one at home is a time consuming process requiring overnight patience which every one of lacks in this 4G world. So if the temptation to eat an ice cream arises , it has to be quenched then and there by market ice creams , who will wait overnight for that?As a generic rule of thumb any food item that is processed and preserved has is extremely unhealthy and ice cream is no exception.Consider the added sugar (or artificial sweeteners) ,preservatives , partially hydrogenated oil (trans fats ) , emulsifiers , stabilizers and artificial flavors and colors.For me Ice cream = Milk ( Full of hormones injected in cow) + Sugar ( empty calories that wrecks havoc to the insulin levels and effect literally every organ of the body) + Chemicals (human bodies are not designed for these poisonous substances) .So commercially available market ice creams are one of the most unhealthiest food out there , others being cookies , biscuits , cakes , pastries , chips , breakfast cereals , chocolates etc.Having said that , it is perfectly OK to occasionally eat and enjoy ice cream say once in 2–3 months. But the fact remains that it is very unhealthy.Before the bed , you would also not want to eat something frozen and cold , probably a cup of green tea may be more usefulFinally it is for you to choose , weather you want to have an external stimulus for an artificial happiness / contentment that lasts only a few minutes or enjoy the long lasting joy of winning over the temptation and be a confident person who can overcome the desires of the mind.The happiness you get by not succumbing to unhealthy food is far higher than that you get by eating it.I wish you well!
How long does it take for an ice cream cake to melt?
i have an hour drive to get it to the party, i just hope it wont be melted by the time i get there :'( it is ice cream and cake (vanilla confetti cake and cookies and cream ice cream with whipped cream on top)
How long should I let my ice cream cake sit out?
A cake from Cold Stone Creamery should be thawed for about 10-13 minutes. On some of the sticker lables, it says that, but some don't. If you can't wait, just dip the knife into hot water and you'll be able to cut it very easily. You definitely DO NOT want to leave it out for half an hour. Over at the Cold Stone Creamery I work at, our freezer broke down for about 45 minutes without us knowing. Most of the cakes melted right through the frosting and cracked open the ganache.
