An you mega evolve in pokemon red or fire red?

Mega Evolution is something introduced in Pokemon X and Y only.

Why do all Pokemon trainers only mega evolve one Pokemon?

That’s a game mechanics thing, as far as I’ve seen — I don’t think I’ve ever read any sort of “in-universe” explanation for this.Just like each Pokémon only having access to four move slots or you only being able to carry six Pokémon at a time, the games don’t let more than one Pokémon go into its Mega form per battle.I suppose it could be a Pokémon League rule of some sort just like the “only six Pokémon” rule… or maybe the Mega item your character carries with them needs some time to recharge so if one Pokémon goes into a Mega form it won’t be ready to go again until some time after the battle’s over. But I don’t think they’ve ever even attempted any “official” explanation for this one.

After a Pokemon Mega Evolves, can it use a Z-move?

No, Mega rayquaza can’t evolve and use a z move. It’s also the only mega evolving pokemon that would have an empty item slot for a z-move crystal. In the future they might add in a second item slot though. Not confirmed or a rumor yet, but it just seems logical. Silvally and Arceus would be really powerful with dual typing and it would allow mega evolution to become even more powerful. Of course this is arguably overpowered.

Do you know Pokemon can be used with Mega Evolve without Mega Stone?

There is only one Pokemon that can be Mega Evolved without the use of a Mega Stone. Simply put, that Pokemon is Rayquaza. However you can’t just Mega Evolve him without anything at all. In order for him to Mega Evolve he needs to know his signature move Dragon Ascent. If you have a Rayquaza from ORAS he should already know this move as it fall within the Delta Episode’s plot. However, if you have one that doesn’t know it, you can move tutor it in Sun/Moon/Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon in Seafolk Town’s Pokemon Center. Then you can Mega Evovle that monster to your heart’s desire.Just don’t be that guy that thinks its fair to bring Mega Rayquaza to a battle. That Pokemon is nightmare fuel.

Why can't full staged Pokémon have a mega evolution?

I might have misunderstood the question slight but they do. Charizard is at stage 3 when it mega evolves, likewise the same with Blastoise, Blaziken, Marshtomp and SceptileMostly mega evolutions are stat boosts for Pokemon that may not be as competitive as they used to. Then others that have just been made even more OP.

Will ash get a mega evolved Pokémon?

Most likely no. The Ash-Greninja form of Ash’s Greninja is the closest thing to mega evolution Ash have achieved. It temporarily evolves a Pokemon’s final evolved form (in this case Greninja) into a more powerful version just like mega evolution. However, it’s not considered a mega evolution. If you read the bulbapedia page on Ash’s Greninja, they state the Ash-Greninja form is only similar to mega-evolution but they they didn’t say it was a mega evolution.Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopediaAlso, mega evolution is something unique to the XY Series and by the end of the series Ash still hasn’t “officially” mega evolved. In the following Sun and Moon series, mean evolution seems to be replaced by the Z moves.

Why shouldn't I mega-evolve my Pokémon every chance I get?

You can only mega-evolve once per battle. Assuming you may later want to use another mega-evolution in the same battle, using the first one would take that option away. While not necessarily a huge necessity in the main story, this can be a very strategic choice in Pokémon battles with other players, as well as some of the optional content.

Mega stones in Pokemon x and y?

As far as is known, only fully evolved Pokémon are receiving Mega Stones.
As far as the stones being in the games, that isn't known either in regards to the full amount, the only 2 things that are known is that the special distribution Torchic will receive a Mega Stone but that it's only for Blaziken and that it sounds like during the time you meet Professor Sycamore, you will also get the respective stone for Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle's final evolved forms.
I would assume Mega Stones will work on any Pokémon that it's supposed to work on.
Yes, Mewtwo as well as Charizard have 2 different Mega evolutions so they will have 2 Mega Stones because of it so yes, that will depend on the game.

Pokemon XY Mega Evolution- Not Activating?

So, I have Pokemon X, and I have an Ampharos equipped with an Ampharosite and I have the Mega Ring. According to everywhere I looked online, these are the only criteria needed to be met for mega evolution to occur. However, sometimes, during battle, the Mega Evolution button on the attack screen isn't lit up, and I can't select the option for Mega Evolution.

Ampharos has never fainted, so I don't think it's a resentment thing. I also have 5 hearts in Pokemon Amie with Ampharos. Would anyone know what could be going on?
