It doesn't make sense because it is not true. A lot of things involving illegal aliens are very popular to believe but there are facts that show most of that stuff is false. EDIT: turkey, I answered the question that ended with "in California". My answer is correct for California. Personally I would prefer if illegal aliens were not ALSO unlicensed and uninsured... It also is not true that illegal aliens can claim unemployment payments, get welfare, or get "free" medical care (they get emergency room treatments only), collect food stamps, etc. Almost all of these are completely prohibited by law and of course there will be some cases where people misrepresent to get benefits it's not common. To honestamerican above me.... Based on your argument about who should be paying for what... The same argument can be said of California's highway system that the US government maintains, or California's state run universities that receive millions in federal funding, or any number of programs run by the State of California that receive federal funding. What would happen if the federal government told California "well all those programs that we fund for you are your responsibility, so you pay for them." Answer: Those programs would cease to exist. The federal government already spends millions probly billions in the California educational system. BTW, a state cannot refuse G.I. bill benefits. If this legislation on behalf of California is directed at that then look for it to be blocked.

First of all you need to define your terms. in your question you stated "hate" and "illegal". In your support, you stated "immigrants". There is a VERY large difference. Basically that illegals are here ILLEGALLY! It appears that your statements are based on a vile dislike of the word "Republican". Illegals do not steal the jobs of fat cat Republicans, they steal them from the high school kid next door trying to save for college or buy his first car. they steal from the public because they demand serviuces and goods but are not taxed to support those goods and services. In essence, they arent pulling their own weight. Are you stating that you approve of freeloaders? As an aside, did you know that if you added up the number of people who you consider fat cats, did you know that 3 of every 4 fat cats are liberal democrats, as stated by the federal General Accounting Office? I use the word "rich" here, and i define it as anyone making over half a million dollars a year. So i recommend that you define your terms and your position before you go firing volleys based on hate, and make sure your arguments are complete and accurate.

They probably thought the same way I did. I was giving thought to leaving California, where I married and we raised our sons until the oldest was off to college and the youngest was on the verge of high school, but then there was a recall election for Governor Gray Davis and it looked like Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger would win. No sooner had I decided that should settle out California politics for a while than he started campaigning more like Governor Shriver (a reference to his progressive wife at the time), and I headed to Texas to scout homes.We settled in Texas in 2004, two months after Schwarzenegger became governor, and haven’t regretted it. I had to look for a good high-school baseball program for the middle son and I found one. I bragged it would do him good to be around a bunch of Texas boys. He turned out to be the sixth native Californian on a team of twenty. Guess I wasn’t the first to look for the exit door. Indeed, we still get something like 500 Californians a month moving here.The middle son went to college in SoCal and the youngest in San Francisco, so we had plenty of occasion to keep in touch with what was going on. Nothing so far has led me to think leaving California was not one of the more prescient decisions I’ve ever made. Even our sons, raised there, no longer care to live there.
