Why Did It Take A Gop Judge To Teach Us About Affluenza

What do you think of the "affluenza" defense?

People so rich and coddled they have no ability to be responsible for their actions.
Believe it or not this defense was just used SUCESSFULLY in court when a drunken righ assbag killed 4 people.

What are your thoughts on Rep. Steve King asking why being a white supremacist is such a bad thing, and refusing to apologise?

My thoughts are that Representative King's repeated comments on “White Supremacy” are some of the most awful things I have ever heard. If Iowa voters want to elect him, and Donald Trump wants to support him and other White Supremacist murderers, so be it. Congress taking away everything but his vote and 6 figure pay check was the legal and right thing to do.My father was the first of 9 dirt poor white working class kids. Out house, row house, definitely not enough beds … in Baltimore City.He served in Asia in Intelligence during the Korean War. 26 years old. Went home to University of Maryland on the GI Bill. SAE fraternity house with other vets … they needed a place to live and eat. They brought some African Americans in to pledge.I never heard a pro-white word come out of his mouth. Our friends were good people. Dad finished as a Department Head Professor in Civil Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. He won the Olympic Regional trials in Heavy Weight Wrestling before Korea. He taught Roger Staubach and Joe Bellino at the US Naval Academy, and he was not a white supremacist.Maryland …Young wealthy white seniors. “We don't take any Niggers into SAE here.”Older Vets in earlier classes.”You'll take anyone as a pledge who is qualified, or we'll hurt you badly and tear this place apart.”Maryland SAE was integrated.I was in the Army. No white. No black. No Asian. No Muslim.Green soldiers were good or bad. Not white or non-white.I flew from El Salvador to Atlanta to brief General Powell. He wasn't black. He was one of America's most respected officers.Bush I … also a warrior … had a lot to do with China during the Nixon administration and with General Powell.Good people are good people. Not white or non-white.I worked in 36 countries and lived in 6. Latin America, Africa, Asia, Muslim … I am also not a white supremacist. Oh I also lived and worked all over Europe and the US … both shockingly diverse.I am not sure if Steve King is a good person.

What was the biggest mistake of Donald Trump's presidential campaign?

The biggest mistake was turning into sour rhetoric! Words such as criminal when there is no conviction to validate that word, or rigged when the playing rules are identical for all candidates, and corrupt is just so unworthy for anyone wanting to be the President of America. There is no doubt many view Donald Trump as a crackpot or a nutcase, but one would have to validate his tv-shows. He is no good as a businessman. He has gone bankrupt numerous times - and the unwillingness to release tax returns was a solo race totally unlike any other presidential candidate.IF Donald had played with an open hand, he could have focused on the numerous areas that DO need attention, but one has to do so from a perspective of good manners rather than speaking evil right from day one. This election has been both sexist and evil - and I do think even Mrs. Clinton will sometimes regret just how tough the rhetoric has been.“When they go low, you go high” is still Mrs. Obama’s motto - and one that none of the candidates have been able to lift as any legacy…The analysis will take time for both parties, and I hope 2020 will be more polite regardless of who is on the ballot. :-)
