i have a coin or something of the sort, it is heavy and copper like, it has a john wayne pic on the front that comes off the coin and says john wayne american across the top. on the back its a pic of john wayne on a horse with some mountains behind him. this is all in copper color and is heavy and very detailed work. if you know anything about it or know someone i can talk to about it please let me know. thank you.

Did John Wayne really say 'get off your horse and drink your milk'?
I recently watched a string of John Wayne movies and was surprised how often he said …get on/off your horse. Clearly it became a catchphrase altering slightly in each movie. The last I saw was the sons of Katie Elder and there it was again. The drink your milk bit does exist although I don't recall where. How about true grit to the young girl?

Honestly? High Noon?You'll find lots of cliches, but all of them are subverted. This film is a deconstruction of the Western genre. So real it hurts.But you can find a lot of interesting cliche approaches when you compare this film with Rio Bravo, by Howard Hawks.Why? Because there is an interesting correlation between both films. While High Noon was a message against MacCarthism and the witch-hunt in Hollywood, Hawks considered it “the most un-American film in History”, and so decided to call John Wayne and film Rio Bravo to prove “what a real western movie should be”.You'll find a lot more of recognizable tropes in Rio Bravo, which will make High Noon an even more revealing story.Have fun!
