Android Google Calendar Sync Issues?
Phone: Samsung SGH I857 Android version: 2.2.2 Baseband version: I857UCKI1 Kernel version: 2.6.32.9-perf Build number: FROYO.UCKI1 Problem: Google calendar is synced to my phone with auto-backup turned on. Scheduling is done mostly online through desktop computer using Google Calendar. I set up my schedule online and synced to my phone, and many recurring appointments were deleted. (Note: Recurring appointments occur M/W/F and T/H, my phone can only schedule appointments weekly [hence, one recurring appointment for Mondays, a copy recurring appointment scheduled separately for Wednesdays, same for Friday]). The first scheduled appointment shows, but recurring appointments are deleted. I delete the event or edit it online, but it resets upon syncing. I would very much like to be able to have my google calendar actually synced to my phone. I have tried: Editing events on the phone (reverts to problematic schedule) Turning off back-up (no go) Factory data reset; correct calendar online while unsynced; re-link to phone (calendar online messed up, phone shows correct schedule-sync turned off to preserve correct schedule---current state) Google Apps are default on my phone, so I can't delete and reinstall Google Calendar. Any hints/tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The andriod/google partnership has been more of a headache than a help and I would really like to be able to enjoy my phone (especially the "conveniences" that AT&T ripped exorbitant amounts of money out of my pocket for, like Google Apps).
