Why Did My Ear Suddenly Start Ringing And Got Clogged

Ear suddenly feels blocked and is ringing?

So I woke up, started walking, and all the sudden, my left ear went "numb" and started ringing. This is a rather familiar sensation thiugh. About 2 years ago, some jackass exploded a huge bubble wrap in my left ear. It suddenly went totally numb and a loud ringing set in. I thought for sure that it was damaged permanently. Thankfully, it subsided, and I haven't heard any ringing until now. There's nothing I could have done to prevent it, lol, it's not like I listened to music too loud or something stupid like that. So, could this ringing that I still hear be tinnitus from that incident?

When I stand up I often get a sudden ringing in my ears, my head gets really hot, I get dizzy and lose my vision. Does anyone know why this happens?

Sounds like orthostatic hypotension. Basically, due to gravity when standing up, the blood flows away from the brains before the body can intervene and compensate this. This results in a short moment of brain malfunction and the described symptoms.Could be nothing (often with people between 20-30 with a slim bodytype). But better consult a medical doctor. Could also be a wide array of other things like medication use, diabetes, kidney functioning, neurological etc.

It could be a number of things. It could be just an ear infection, it could be an actual sound you’re experiencing, or it could be tinnitus.Tinnitus is the medical term for a noise which is heard in the head or ears, but which does not come from an outside source. We often describe it as a ‘ringing in the ears’, but it can be described in many other ways, such as a buzzing or hissing sound, waves, or crickets. It can be faint or loud, occasional or constant, steady or pulsing, and range from not bothersome to very annoying. It is often most noticeable at night or in quiet surroundings, and can be more of a problems when you are tired or stressed. If you want to know more about it, this website has some REALLY useful info!

How come i have sudden hearing loss?

Truthfully? I dont know. I am an audiologist, and the exact same thing happens to me. Ive never gotten a straight answer for it myself.

I suspect its a transischemic attack in the ear...just a small, slight interruption of blood flow that resolves benignly and quickly.

Personally....Im not to worried when it happens to me.

If you find an answer, I would love to hear it lol.....,

What causes sudden ringing in one ear?

I cannot say for sure but tinnitus, ringing of the ear, is frequently a sign of dysfunction of the cochlea. This problem may be due to elevated pressure, which you can usually feel, and decreased hearing. You should see an ENT doctor about this problem as there are treatments.

Tragus piercing, ringing and clogged ear sensation.?

I got my tragus pierced last night and the instant he did it my ear felt suddenly super clogged up like I needed to pop my ears or get water out. Then shortly after a ringing sound came in my ear, it's not very loud im more concerned about the clogged feeling, will it go away?? The tragus does not hurt at all, i even slept on it last night. I really don't wanna take the piercing out if that's what's causing it, im hoping its temporary but if anyone could help that would be great
Thanks !

My right ear is ringing/clogged after having my headphones in?

First never put any cotton in your ear it pushes the wax n everything back to your ear drum, second you can damage your ear drum by using the cotton swabs , third Thas happend to me b4 it does go away n a short time always check your ear prices to see if you have ear wax in them if so clean them or change them n turn the music down a lil Thas some of the problem there . If that doesn't work then go to the docs office n tell them was going on n they will no wat to do !!!!! :) good luck ;) n oh yeah the bass could be to much to stand n could be throwing wax to your ear drum!
