Is it easy to tell Eastern Europeans and Western Europeans apart?
By facial features, clothes, behavior?For simplicity, i will assume that Poles, Czechs, Slovaks, etc. are “Eastern” Europeans (in fact, they are Central Europeans).Many Eastern Europeans are Slavs (Hungarians and Romanians are not). People who share genetic origin, such as nations-tribes, often share certain physical characteristics. They are like extended families. Many Slavs have relatively high cheek bones. Many, for example Poles, have round skulls (instead of elongated ones). I can tell Martha Stewart is polish by origin - she looks a lot like my mother.I can often tell Poles and Russians by facial features alone. And i can often tell Poles and Russians apart, perhaps through combination of facial features, clothes and behavior. But i suspect only a minority of people belonging to a certain group has the typical look attributed to that group so i can only single out those who do.As far as clothes and behavior, i just saw a guy in NYC wearing sweat pants with a white stripe. There was no mistake, he was speaking russian. I saw Russians wearing the same kind of pants in Thailand. But again, probably only a minority of Russians from a certain socioeconomic group dresses that way.I was once on a 3rd class train in Sri Lanka where i met two men, father and son. I could have sworn by looking at them they were Slavs. But they turned out to be Austrians. However, they were from Gratz. Gratz is close to slovenian border and is called Gradec in slovenian. Many people in the area have slavic ancestry.
Why is Spain considered one of the most racist countries in Europe?
Here you have three different ways to consider the question.First, of course Spain has a racism problem. There is racism against blacks, North Africans, South Americans, and worst of all, Gitanos (Roma people). Something we have a lot of work ahead to correct. Most people is not conscious of how racist are some of the things they do.Second, racism in Spain is quite different from racism in other European countries and doesn’t quite match their “racism” concept. Spain has never had a strong influx of immigrants, being ourselves an emigrant nation, and we simply don’t have experience as “racists”. We don’t know how to be “properly racist” so we don’t hide it. We lack the sensibility against racism that comes with centuries of racism. I’m not saying Spaniards are not racist, because the treatment usually applied to Roma people shows how racist our society can be, but that we might not be racist when you think we are, or al least not in the way you might think we are. It’s expressed more as race insensibility than discrimination, ignorance and lack of care against racism than outright racism.And third, if you take a look at the IAT scores map, the mean score for Spain is similar to Finland, only slightly worse than France, and way better than Italy, Portugal, or most Eastern European nations. I think it doesn’t qualify to be considered “one of the most racist countries in Europe”.

WW1 happened because of the expanding imperialist countries. Major countries like France, Austria-Hungary, and England. They all wanted more land and resources to become even more powerful. The Nazi party is the National Socialist Party. They believed in a strong government and promised to turn Germany back into a world power. Communists believe in a form of government called communism. Communism has the idea of equality for all and ownership for all. While this idea sounds great on paper, it will never work because of people's greed. The French and British created the Treaty of Versailles. It was a harsh treaty that forced the Germans to pay reparations to Great Britain and France. Hope this helps. Good luck.
