Why Do Athletes Put Up Their Pointer Finger In Pictures

Why do Soccer players put there finger over there mouth as if to quiet the crowd?

I've always wanted to know this. I dont follow soccer but when i see a video or something of some great scores, sometimes the player will put there finger over the mouth like you do when you're telling someone to be quiet. Why is that?

Why does tiger Woods put tape on his firgers?

he puts tape on his fingers because of blisters. many athletes do it that swing bare handed if you look at vladimir guerrero for the angels he wears tape to prevent blisters.

Why do tennis players blow on their fingers?

In tennis a "reset routine" is what a pro (or college) player does between every point to (a) forget about the previous point (b) get their focus ready for the next point. For Lleyton Hewitt its tugging away at this strings (even though he uses Luxilon poly strings which don't move at all).We know Nadal's legendary reset routine(s) ;-) Players also have routines for the changeovers between games. I think this is the primary reason why Fed does it.2. Keep away blisters - this is mostly an old school thing.Mardy Fish did this as well. With cushier modern grips blisters on fingers are rare when using the correct-sized grip (which Fed does) and more commonly caused by using a smaller-than-normal grip size (to aid in exaggerated topspin).See Rafael Nadal or Gael Monfil's perenially taped up fingers for reference.Fed, rarely, if at all, has had any visible sign of blisters Not related but the lack of his pre-match taping routine is also legendary, all part of the "effortless Fed" persona. While many pros on the tour tape their ankles and wrists (Nadal and many others) or wear ankle braces (Murray), Fed is renowned for no tape and a very simple routine - he does some stretches in the locker room and is ready to go. This is part of the myth/image - in reality all the warming up/hard work he does, is probably behind the scenes.

Why does Donald Trump make this gesture while addressing a crowd?

That’s a little more subtle than you think it is. See, most people think that is the OK sign, because of the fingers forming a closed loop. But when you make the OK sign, you just set your hand in the OK position and put it up or move your hand slightly forward for emphasis. Like this:But what Trump does is different. He makes the OK gesture and draws his hand out sideways (smoothly or in jerks). Now, I was a western classical violinist, and that reminds me of this:Orchestra conductors use that sign to signal precision. I suspect Trump uses it for the same reason too. He sees himself in an analogous role, someone directing the sound, pulling the strings.Another reason why I think he uses this as a precision gesture is narrative context. Often while talking about how bad things have gotten, he gesticulates wildly to signal chaos and shrugs his shoulders to signal helplessness. Then he uses the okay sign to signal the precision of his proposed remedies. His remedies are as precise as his goals or his stances, but that’s besides the point. The problem with him using his fingers to make intricate closed gestures is that he has tiny hands. Those gestures would be hard to see.
