Why Do Black People Have Such Uneven Skin Tones.

Black people, do you suffer from uneven skin complexion?

My face is lighter than my body, only because I wear sunscreen everyday in my moisturizer or foundation when I wear makeup, so my face doesn't get any tan from the sun, but my body does. I actually prefer being darker, but I don't want wrinkles on my face (or hands) so I always put sunscreen on every day. I feel naked without it.

Otherwise, I have darker skin on the top part of my arm and lighter underneath, but that's normal. I like having different skin tones from the sun, it's more sun kissed looking. I'm pretty much the same color all over though, except for my face. I don't think you should "suffer" from it. Blacks in the U.S have more vitamin D deficiency though, so maybe you should go lay out in the sun for a while, I love the sun.

Do black people tan? Why?

For an answer based on personal experience and not science - YES we do tan and some of us do it on purpose.I am a brown skinned black woman. I’m not exceptionally dark, nor am I considered light skinned, but my body has 3 different shades of brown on it with varying gold, red and dark undertones. Some areas that get more sun exposure tend to be darker - face, arms, leg while other areas that get less sun exposure tend to be lighter - torso.I have deliberately laid out in the sun to even things up. Also, since scars from knicks, scratches and scrapes tend to show darker on my already brown skin, I might tan them to even out the skin tone. I have even used self tanning lotion on my legs - a trick I learned from another black woman who was a model. It gives our legs a nice evenly toasted tone.I have never used sunscreen. I have never had sunburn - and I’ve lived in New Orleans, Tuscaloosa and El Paso. I’ve spent hours on fishing boats in hot sun with reflection off water. I assumed it was because I was dark enough to fare well in such climates. My daughters, on the other hand, are a few shades lighter than me and I do put sun screen on them as a precaution.

Why do black people need sunscreen?

yes they do, just not as easily because of the pigments in their skin. my skin tone is medium, so i can still burn but i usually dont. when you have a tan, a good solid tan (or darker skin) its alot harder to get a sunburn than on skin that is lighter. the sun can be harmful to anyone that doesnt have sunscreen on.

Sun exposure.

How mixed black people have beautiful skin?

I've noticed that biracial black people whatever the mix usually have nicely colored skin and it is usually quite even looking, same with carribbean blacks. I'm not that dark for a black person but I wish my knees, elbows, and armpits were not so dark compared with the rest of my body. How can I even out my skin tone?

Why do people with darker skin tones have stronger body odors than lighter skin tones even across ethnicities?

No this wrong, smell is depends on gene no matter dark of light skin toneSmell is caused by bacteria because is harder to break down into simplar one it’s due to high salt concentration in sweet…One good thing bad body odors can be control by some remedies or some deodorant…..no matter dark tone or even light tone…..
