Why Do Conservatives Believe Everything The Tv Tells Them

Do you believe everything you hear on tv?

It would be foolish to believe everything you hear on TV. Many times, the mainstream media run roughshod over the facts (for example, the CBS/Dan Rather/Martha Mapes debacle involving manufactured evidence in the Bush National Guard story). But, even if "true facts" are presented, you need to be aware of how those facts are manipulated and presented. For example, you will never see a liberal defined as a "rabid liberal", no matter how extreme their views, while it is quite common and accepted to call a conservative "rabid". What is not reported is sometimes just as important as what is reported, fact or phony, too.

Why do conservatives believe Fox news?

Because we all want our worldview confirmed by the input around us.  We'll select 'out' that which makes us insecure and select 'in' that which confirms our biases.I don't like FoxNews.  I mean, I REALLY don't like.  Just this past week I stumbled on it and heard one of the "reporters" mumble something about a conspiracy, stating, "Some believe that this Monica Lewinsky story is just too convenient right now and is happening because her friends in the Media. . . ."  I just changed the channel.  I'm firmly in the camp that FoxNews is the least ethical, most yellow, most inaccurate "news" source on TV.  I hate everything it stands for EXCEPT its conservative-ness.  I don't care about that.  Being liberal isn't right.  Being conservative isn't wrong.  I don't care if all the news reporters are GOP members or any of that.  News is business and it needs to make money to stay in business and FoxNews has found a way to leverage the desire in America for conservative viewpoints. But it's so horribly dishonest.  The thing about that dishonesty, is that it isn't necessary.  It isn't necessary to circle the wagons against Obama or harp forever on Healthcare.gov or claim that a 19 year old cum-on-dress story has been dredged up by Hillary Clinton to legitimately offer a conservative viewpoint.  You can hold on to your integrity as a news source and STILL be conservative.FoxNews hasn't gotten that message.  But, that being said and being completely honest -- while I appreciate the lengths MSNBC goes to to be honest and factually correct, it's blatantly liberal bias isn't "right" either or the proper counter to FoxNews.  CNN's approach to 10 second story clips spaced with 5 seconds of flashing lights isn't my cup of tea either. So, I guess the moral of this story is to avoid TV news.  You'll be better for it.

Are there people that believe everything Fox News tells them?

Bit of a strawman argument, init (“everything”)?People trust Fox to the same extent other people trust CNN and other news networks. For some, that is much, for others less so.Question: Are there people that believe everything Fox News tells them?

Is Jack Bauer a liberal or conservative?

Are you kidding? With all the torturing he does? He's a conservative.

Is anyone else bothered by the insane amount of anti-conservative propaganda scattered throughout TV shows on every major network?

I used to wonder why people made this complaint, until a conservative friend of mine cast some light on his concerns."Why do you say these shows are 'liberal?'" I asked. He then went on to complain That "Will and Grace" earned decent Neilsen ratings and earned all kinds of Emmies.  I was confused. "So?"He spelled it out: "They treat an openly gay character as if he isn't doing anything wrong. As if his behavior is normal. What kind of message does that send to kids?"I was a bit taken aback. "So let me get this straight: Since the show doesn't treat him like a pariah, that automatically makes it liberal?""Of course. Sodomy is a sin.""So... if the show was about a character who was shunned by his friends and family because of his homosexuality, would it then be a 'conservative' show?"He replied no -- then it would just be "neutral."It was an interesting revelation: What I considered to be neutral -- I haven't really watched the show that much, but from I can tell, the character's homosexuality is used as a comedic device -- was seen as an endorsement by my religious friend. But what I would consider to be taking a position -- punishing the gay character -- would be seen as neutral by the same friend. It comes down to baseline.I asked him about the Jurassic Park films. His response was quick. "Absolutely liberal. Very offensive. They say many times that these creatures existed millions of years ago, which simply isn't true." Again, I had seen the science as a neutral backdrop against an adventure story, while he saw each film as a 90-minute propaganda piece for humanism.I guess it's all a matter of perspective.

Do liberals believe everything the media says?

Im just a human being, Like you and every being, We take news just as much as you do. We are not liberal or Conservative. We are Americans in North America we live in states. I can tell you like all beings. we need food water a place to cook and place to rest a place to put your head down, we all need to belong to a community where we can prey or have a drink or bring a case to court, to solve issues. we need roads and highways. to move about. We sent are kids to war so they can die or be hurt so bad. That many years will go by and never be OK. The old and the wealthy make choices for the poor. say s to bad if you was wealthy you could do something about it. as they steal the wealthy and push and hurt people. So they can have more wealthy. And we let happen every city and town every state and at the congress and senate. So Do liberals believe in the new Just as much as you do. No more No less, The news is made up of beings. Who video tape to write down or record sounds. They ask questions Take Mr trump As president he is recorded almost every hour of the day. When you are record that much your never going to look good all the time. But he been seen and recorded what he says on any topic. And you can play each answer and see him tell you 7 to times something deferent. Let me ask you with one should I believe. Can pick on a dead man. It shocking the first time. And McCain was alive. He dead unable to fight back. what should I believe, Not my ears or my eyes. And that TV and news paper Do think ever reporter is toeing news from air. I believe if reported in the paper tv radio all saying the same thing. It must be truth. and if one sources says something it up in the air. Are all reporters going to lie to all of us. what goal would they have. Are things blown up sometimes Im shore you could make a case for it. but just like many things. Not every body on SNAP is making false statements. Not every body on SSDI is lazy or just using the system Just like in congress and the senate there people who love this nation. It not about money. As beings we take things to outer limits, it all or none it never just a few. And the real would it just some. Do I believe the news yes I do, not everything but most of it.

Why do so many Conservatives want a submissive woman?

I don't find submissive women attractive I love a strong independent powerful woman like Ziva David of ncis and Lagertha of the Vikings tv show. I find powerful women very attractive maybe it's the way my Mother raised me but I am very attracted to strong women. I can't respect submissive women the type of women who do whatever her "man" tells her to do its weak and unattractive and takes away respect when a woman lowers herself like that. I am a leftist and am Masculine and I am very attracted to Women who are powerful and strong it's a major turn on and submissive females are a turn off.
