Their whole narrative is constructed around the lie that they care more about others; that their policies are, according to them, morally superior. That if a progressive government were to be elected, all our problems would go away, that there would be no inequality, that anything racist or homophobic would wither away into obscurity, that the rich man will pay his “fair share”, that the economy would be thriving, and that a utopian la la land will eventually emerge.Now, in order for a progressive to maintain this benevolent reputation, they feel the need to dress up in this costume called “intellectual honesty”, where they claim to listen to the conservative point of view, heck where they sometimes even admit to “liking” some conservative viewpoints.But, when push comes to shove, this is just a steaming pile of horseshit. Their talk is cheap. I do. But I respect the office in which he holds. And you're incorrect. He's both a bad man and a lousy president. Jimmy Carter may have been a lousy president, but I genuinely believe he had good intentions and wanted to the do the right thing. I can not say the same about Obama. I think he has evil intentions. I wish I was wrong, but I don't think that i am . I think Obama ( Like most who came from a broken home ) is carrying a lot of baggage and has a chip on his shoulder. As a result he wants to retaliate on ALL who dare oppose him in anyway. His demeanor has " I want to be a dictator " written all over it. Do you remember the first debate when he was debating McCain and McCain would attack him ? Obama's eyes would get like stone toward McCain like he wanted to kill him.

I’m very liberal, but more of a classical liberal than I am a far-left progressive type. To me classical liberalism is American conservatism. We got away from this and then the Republican Party was formed, trying to rejuvenate those same ideas with a progressive element. I honestly believe Abraham Lincoln would be rolling over in his grave if he was able to see what has become of his party.There are two major reasons in my opinion why conservatism is stigmatized: the hijacking of conservatism by religious fundamentalists and the wealthy; and the far-left influence of political correctness that deems any dissent as being immoral and nonintellectual. The irony in all of this is that many progressives have done just as they’d claimed the far-right has: stigmatize any dissention.Another problem with modern-day conservatism is science. Republicans generally do not view science objectively, but instead are usually concerned with confirmation biases. Progressives tend to do this too in my opinion, but not on the same level. Science is supposed to work by objectively finding out why something is, not trying to confirm a stance due to ulterior motives. I find it quite frightening that nearly half of all Americans think the universe is less than ten thousand years old. I also find it frightening that one’s economic preferences determine whether they believe global warming is real, and whether it’s man-made. Ron Paul went into detail in his book The Revolution about how intellectualism has left the Republican Party.What passes as ‘conservative’ today is a mix of the immoral combination of religion, money, power and objective morality. Due to ulterior motives, most conservatives are hypocrites today. They yell states’ rights, but yet want to keep states from implementing their own drug policies. They yell freedom, but yet have supported some of the most intrusive laws against civil liberties such as asset forfeiture, replacing the Fourth Amendment with good faith laws and drug checkpoints on public roads. They also frequently oppose a woman’s right to abortion, gay marriage, etc. The problem is when you have God on your side you can do anything you want. Ever hear the phrase it’s not fascism when we do it?

Done several years ago, both liberals and conservatives rated the still living Saddam Hussein an 8. both liberals and conservatives rated the other group in the high 30s -- don't like em, but they're not dog food. "extreme conservatives" in 1998 rated then President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore about 45. but the "extreme liberals" in 2004 rated President Bush and Vice President Cheney as 15 and 16, respectively. 60% of these people rated Messrs. Bush and Cheney as zero -- below Saddam Hussein. so, do Liberals think ALL Conservatives are really, really bad people, or are only President Bush and VP Cheney really, really bad?
Why do conservatives think that the stimulus package is a bad idea?
Chicken Feed, is all it was, a few Months ago Republicans came up with a way to use the 780 Billion Dollars to use as one Massive stimulus Package, and that was to distribute that 780 Billion among all Adult tax payers and the math was done, It amounted to over $42,000 per person. Now what could you do with $ 42,000 ? Hmm? That would have taken us out of the problem we have virtually overnight, For those who are behind on Their Mortgage ? It could possibly pay it off or at the least take a Huge Chunk out of it See? The banks would get their Money? Those behind on their Car payments ? It could be paid off or better yet Buy I new car, That also helps out the Banks and the Auto Industry I mean Really, Come on. The Auto retailers would empty their Showrooms overnight and order for new cars in the factory's would be stacked. The Retail Business would profit as hordes of people would Flock to Walmart Buying things, That would help the economy , No ne can say it wouldn't. The Health care Industry ? well people who couldn't at First afford it, Can Now afford it at least for a while, That would help the health care industry. Homeless ? Those who are Homeless and US Citizens would be getting it too, Do you think they would be Homeless after that ? NO You Just Helped the Homeless That would disappear virtually Overnight. The 780 Billion ? The Nation would begin getting that Back almost at once as all those things Purchased would be taxed, so that helps. The List goes on and on, BUT NO Obama has to have His Socialist Nation. Why do Conservatives think that Liberals hate trucks?
I am a very liberal Democrat and drive a fullsize truck regularly to haul things for my job. Yet I see a lot of Conservatives with the mindset that all Libs are hybrid driving nancyboys. Why do they think this?? And hybrids aren't a bad thing and I'm glad people are encouraging others to invest in them because it saves gas and they have great mileage which nobody can say that they hate.
