Why Do Conservatives Try To Spin Their Incredibly Bigoted And Offensive Comments As Humor

Are the Brits excited about Donald Trump's visit planned for this July?

Sadly, few people are excited about Donald Trump’s visit to the UK for all the reasons mentioned below - he is not a man to be admired, respected or liked; in fact, I can’t think of a single positive word to say about him. For most of the time he seems barely literate and has trouble stringing more than a few words together - and most of those he does manage to get out make little sense to the listener. He speaks without engaging his brain and forgets what he has said moments later, so could well be inherently dangerous; he also tells extraordinary lies, lies that can easily be proved to be lies (his victory, voting numbers, numbers attending his inauguration - on, and on and on they go). But, and this is a very big BUT, he is still leader of the American people and, like it or not, more than 57 million people voted for him to be President (OK, that’s only 28.5% of the eligible voters but it’s nearly the population of the UK).So, disliked by many - if not most - in my (reluctant) opinion, he should still be accorded the respect that his position holds, as representative of the USA.The irony of it all is that, in the past, many cruel dictators have come to Britain - and have been accorded a State visit - yet no-one has demonstrated against them. Since her accession, on the recommendation of her government of the day, the Queen has met, and hosted - among others - Nicolae Ceausescu (Romania), Bashar Al-Assad (Syria), Mobutu Sese Seko (Zaire), Robert Mugabe (Zimbabwe), Nursultan Nazarbayev (Kazakhstan), Yoweri Museveni (Uganda), Idi Amin (Uganda 1971).And now we have Trump, who is a sleazeball; who, most of the time, behaves in an extremely unpleasant way yet, as far as I know, has not killed or tortured his enemies, nor gone to war on his people, or done any of the terrible things all of the above have done - and yet his visit is polarizing the nation. For what it is worth, I don’t think there should be any demonstrations against the man, whatever sort of character he has (and I can’t stand him, even his voice makes me cringe), because he is President of the USA and, as such, deserves respect.

Why are so many people anti-Trump? People didn't like Obama either, but he was the president, so people didn't do this. What makes Trump different?

Obama was called every name in the book and accused of every crime in the book. I know this because I am a conservative who paid attention to the criticisms of conservatives the whole time (and agreed with a lot of it). However, despite a few indiscretions here and there - such as when he told voters to look upon Republicans as “enemies” - Obama mostly presented himself in a respectable manner. (Though let’s make sure to differentiate between presentation and policy.)Trump, on the other hand, is the guy who responded to Ben Carson challenging him in the polls by calling him a pedophile. And that was hardly an isolated incident. He deals with women who dare oppose him by calling them ugly and disgusting. He frequently throws out insults and stupid accusations at men as well, such as when he questioned Mitt Romney’s religiosity (though Trump himself poses as a Christian when he clearly has never read the Bible) or when he suggested that Ted Cruz was morally compromised because he borrowed money from Wall Street (though Cruz had already paid off those loans and Trump owes massive funds to Wall Street to this day).Trump has said that political correctness is killing the country and that everyone is too thin-skinned. Anyone who agrees with him on that probably should not be so easily offended or distressed when people call Trump names. Trump himself should not be sensitive and thin-skinned either…but the way he reacts to criticism suggests that he is the most thin-skinned and hypersensitive president ever. Can you imagine Obama or Bush throwing a poorly spelled hissy fit on Twitter? And before one demands that the President be respected, one should first demand that the President be respectable.

Is Megyn Kelly not just a pretty face?

Megyn Kelly is a very crafty woman with an agenda to further herself. When she first started at Fox she made quite a few changes in her delivery in order to make her name. Now it appears she is aiming for network TV and once again changing herself, for example going on the attack toward Trump and flirting with that fat liberal slob Michael Moore.
