Why Do I Eat All Of The Time

Why do I eat all the time?

Perhaps your body needs more protein. Try eating a protein at every meal. For instance, have an egg with your breakfast porridge or oatmeal, at lunch how about a turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread. Also, try making your snacks a healthier choice, for example and apple and a cheese stick, or a banana and a protein shake.

Something a lot of people don't realize either is that often times when our bodies are in need of water it feels as though we are hungry. So try drinking a glass of water first and see if you're still hungry.

Why do i eat ALL THE TIME?

t/bass, you answered your own question. You eat all the time because that's how you deal with stress, boredom, happiness, depression, etc If you are going to eat all the time, eat fruit. You can also try drinking lots of water. Fill yourself up on water and you won't want to eat food. You can also try making your own shakes, they are filling also. I usually throw together milk, protein powder, banana, apple, canned fruit. It works for me. Good luck

Why do some people seem to eat out all the time?

I can't remember the last time I ate at home! Not exactly true, but I eat outside at least 5 times a week.I live in a place where going out for food is really easy (Beijing, China).Restaurants can start very very cheap here. And you can have great food for those prices. As a foreigner who does not know how to cook local food, you almost always need some imported ingredients in order to cook what you want and prices for home food go up pretty quick like that.I like cooking only when I host a dinner with friends. Don't really enjoy it for myself.I get to try a lot of different foods.I can almost always find friends who are willing to go out for dinner as well. It's more social.I have nothing like a family where I live, going out with people is great to maintain strong friendships that you can rely on.I know many (used to know a lot) restaurant / bar managers / owners and enjoy paying them a visit.Even for more expensive places, I used to earn enough money that it never was an issue. You're sure to have everything you want there. Never will you be in a restaurant and think "F**k, I forgot to buy us some beer" or "Oh! I only have one egg, I needed 3..." (convenience)Eating alone at home I don't take the time to properly seat down, and eat a correct meal. The dining experience is not there. I don't get a "pause" to eat, I'd be doing other things at the same time.

Why am I hungry all the time?

You may be eating too many carbohydrates and not enough protein. (The bagel and pizza would be almost all carbohydrate.) Try eating raw nuts like almonds or walnuts, and eat eggs and lean chicken more often. Also drink more water, say 8 or 9 glasses of water a day. Another possibility is you may be going through a growth spurt. I don't know how old you are, but some people don't stop growing until they are 20 or 21. Yet another possibility is that you may be spiritually hungry for something and you are substituting food for something you might be missing, but you are still going to be hungry. Try praying or reading scriptures or listening to relaxing music. Hmm, now I want pizza.

How can I stop eating all the time?

It's a mind over matter issue and it is something that needs to be rectified as snacking unecessarily like this can lead to gradual weight gain which im sure you don't want.

You basically need to work out why you are eating when you are not hungry it's either one of 3 things.
- Boredom, you snack because there is nothing else to do.
- Emotions, you eat when you are emotional as a comfort.
- Habit, you have always snacked like this and gotten into a habit of it.

If it is boredom you snack for then you need to find other things to keep you amused (and not TV as alot of mindless snacking happens in front of the idiot box) something practical maybe do some cleaning or go visit friends.
If it is emotional you need to find another way to deal with emotions without turning to food. Try writing in a journal or maybe join a gym and sweat off that bad day your having.
If it is habit this will be the hardest to break but you will simply need to remind yourself you ARE NOT hungry and DO NOT need this food.

Hope I helped.

Why does my 7 year old want to eat ALL THE TIME?!?!?!?

My 7 year old son wants to constantly eat. He gets up and eats breakfast, goes to school where they also have breakfast, eats lunch, then a snack, then comes home and wants to eat, then eats dinner and then 20 minutes after dinner wants to eat again and then wants to have dessert as well. On the weekends, he will eat almost a whole box of cereal, a whole gallon of milk, a whole pack of lunch meat, a whole loaf of bread, 3 or 4 packs of ramon noodles, what ever we have for dinner, and snacks. And is STILL HUNGRY!! He is not overweight at all, but the grocery bill just for his food, and only for the weekend can easily reach 100$. . I feel bad telling him he just ate and to wait, but to me it is getting out of hand. Is this normal??? Does anybody else have a 7 year old that eats this way??

My new kitten wants to eat all the time, how much is too much?

I have a kitten that was in a starvation situation, he ate like crazy for a few months, his body knows what it needs, just let him eat what he wants, he will slow down when he realizes that you will always give him food, I keep food down for my cats 24/7 and they just nibble on what they want,

Why am I hungry all the time even though I eat regularly sized portions and healthy snacks?

Perhaps you are eating too many carbs. Like other people suggested, eating too many carbs can influence your appetite signal.I recently read this post (Hunger is psychological – and dieting only makes it worse – Michael Graziano | Aeon Essays) which really reasonated with me because I am a psychologist as well. The bottom line in the article is that hunger is rather a matter of psychology than physiology. It claims that certain tricks can put your brain back on track regarding food intake and hunger signals; do not exclude any foods, but up you fat intake and lower your carb intake. By doing this your hunger regulatory system will supposedly work more efficient and you will not extpecience hunger signals when you are not actually hungry.I definitely loved the post. Whether it is true and scientifically sound, I doubt it. However, I have been trying to lose weight for the past six months myself. First by counting calories, after that by just eating until I felt full. Even though I didn’t necessarily plan for it, my fat intake was fairly high and my carb intake was pretty low (I just love cheese!). This eating pattern resulted in the fact that I rarely feel hungry anymore. Sometimes I even have to force myself to eat.My starting weight was 187 lbs (85 kg), my current weight is, 160 lbs (73 kg).Bottom line: Start with counting your calories, add some fat, lose some carbs and your body will do the rest.
