Why Do I Feel Dizzy In Noisy Crowded Areas

Why do I feel uncomfortable in crowds?

its nothing to do with being left handed! its anxiety and panic. you probably worry too much what other people think of you and worry about making a bad impression.

belly breathing is a good technique to use when you are getting light headed and feel anxious. it re-oxygenates your brain

Belly Breathing Exercise

1. Place one hand just above your belt line, and the other on your chest, right over the breastbone. You can use your hands as a simple biofeedback device. Your hands will tell you what part of your body, and what muscles, you are using to breathe.

2. Open your mouth and gently sigh, as if someone had just told you something really annoying. As you do, let your shoulders and the muscles of your upper body relax, down, with the exhale. The point of the sigh is not to completely empty your lungs. It's just to relax the muscles of your upper body.

3. Close your mouth and pause for a few seconds.

4. Keep your mouth closed and inhale slowly through your nose by pushing your stomach out. The movement of your stomach precedes the inhalation by just the tiniest fraction of a second, because it's this motion which is pulling the air in. When you've inhaled as much air as you can comfortably (without throwing your upper body into it), just stop. You're finished with that inhale.

5. Pause. How long? You decide. I'm not going to give you a specific count, because everybody counts at a different rate, and everybody has different size lungs. Pause briefly for whatever time feels comfortable. However, be aware that when you breathe this way, you are taking larger breaths than you're used to. For this reason, it's necessary to breathe more slowly than you're used to. If you breathe at the same rate you use with your small, shallow breaths, you will probably feel a little lightheaded from over breathing, and it might make you yawn. Neither is harmful. They're just signals to slow down. Follow them!

6. Open your mouth. Exhale through your mouth by pulling your belly in.

7. Pause.

8. Continue with Steps 4-7.

Why am I so much more sensitive to loud noises and large crowds than usual?

Why am I so much more sensitive to loud noises and large crowds than usual? There could be many reasons for this. I have become a lot more sensitive - I’d use the word ‘intolerant’ to be more exact - to noise as I’ve become older, for example. It could be also a symptom of anxiety or stress, which also would help explain the sensitivity to crowds. And there are some medical conditions that create hypersensitivity to sound - Misophonia, Hyperacusis and ‘Recruitment’ among others. Recruitment could indicate the commencement of hearing loss.As always, if this situation persists, and/or is troubling you, then you should seek professional medical advice.

Noisy and crowded places might seem an odd choice for a date?

It always depends to the both of you. If she's an introvert or an ambivert with her introvert side more protruding, then NO. It will easily tire her/him out. I love outdoor activities, but I can't handle a lot of social interaction. Actually, there are times that by only seeing a crowded place makes me dizzy, seriously. I love music but I don't have plans on going to concerts because there's a loooot of people. However, if you are taking your extrovert girl/boyfriend on a date, then GO HAVE FUN AND DANCE with the crowd. Just make sure, you can handle all of it. 'cause date isn't a date if only one of you gets to enjoy the experience.

Why do some people easily get dizzy or headaches with strong smells?

My mother was always like this. She had motion sickness and couldn’t wear or be around anyone wearing it without getting a debilitating migraine. She developed Menieres disease which is an extreme form of vertigo. Any movement, bright light, sound and she would have an attack where she was so dizzy she couldn’t stand, vomiting, headaches. She suffered with this for a very long time well over a year maybe even two. It was from Floyd build up in her ear that through off her equilibrium.A diet high in sodium can cause this due to water retention and inflammation. Since my mother has switched to a low sodium diet she has not had an attack tho she does have some perminant hearing loss in one ear from the pressure.Ive done further research as I suffer from water retention, inflammation, joint pain and full body swelling. I began having dizzy spells getting off elevators where I was nearly falling over and couldn’t see. Here some interesting things I found out:Menieres disease has a genetic factor.Meniers can be a precursor for Lupus.Replacing your drinking water with mineral water or water with Sea salt (google the measurements on this first) will flush water retention and reduce inflammation. This in turn reduces the risk of Menieres and Lupus attack and damage.Just like the wrong kind of fat will damage the body while healthy fats are necessary for body and mind function, the right kind and amount of salt is necessary for health of mind and body and the wrong kind will cause damage.Sensory sensitivity is also a factor of ASD and there are some correlating information between ASD, menieres Lupus and Lymes disease.

Why do i get dizzy at concerts?

I feel okay when bands are playing songs but when the lights go down after a song and the crowd cheers i get really dizzy and disoriented and off balance. Anything that causes this?

Why do I feel lightheaded during parties?

Whenever I go to parties and I'm around a lot of noise and people for a few hours, I feel really light headed; it feels like a dream wth?? I drink a lot of water and I'm young so their are no alcohol or drugs involved. Also I'm not sleepy or anything. This is kind of a dumb question I'm just wondering

I Can't Focus in Crowded Places?

I dread going to crowded places such as the gym, MeetUp meetings, work activities, etc. because whenever I am there I can't focus and people give me faces as if I don't know what I am doing. There are just so many things going on and I don't know what to focus on; I feel dizzy at times. I am 27 and why do I feel like a teenager?

How should I overcome this fear of crowds?

Why do loud noises (loud talking, music, etc.) make me tired and irritable so quickly?

You may be a highly sensitive person. Here's a Self Test to help you decide.
