What is it like to get hit by a train?
From experience, it hurts. But I went into shock immediately so I was unaware of what was happening in side of me. The first responders who showed up were expecting to see me in pieces, and we're shocked when they saw that I wasn't missing any limbs. But inside there were lots of broken bones, bleeding, punctured lungs, ripped muscles, etc. They said most people with those injuries bleed out before they make it to the hospital, but luckily we didn't find that out until after I had survived a few nights in the ICU. My dog was also hit, because I was trying to rescue him from the tracks. We both have significant PTSD. So living near train tracks is very hard. You also never realize how often people joke about feeling like they got hit by a freight train. It's not funny anymore.
Will I feel pain to be run over by a train before I die?
Yes, you will. Sorry.However, as I’ve never died, I can’t tell you for how long you will feel this pain. I guess it falls into the “it just depends” category.But here’s how I see it kinda playing out:The train will run you over and most likely the force will shove you so hard that your head/legs/arms will be rendered from your body… think a soft tender chicken where you pull on the leg and it kinda tears away… except it won’t smell good or taste good. (Maybe to the stray dogs… dunno.) The pain won’t register at first. You’ll probably be more focused on your heart pounding and the sound of the train coming closer. Eventually, it does hit you, but you don’t notice it. You kind of feel a force against you and suddenly, your body doesn’t feel “right” anymore. You open your eyes and everything in the world is a tumble and you try to move, but can’t. A moment passes and the signals in your body catch up to your spine/brain. You see your severed or ripped up limbs laying nearby, but too far. The pain of your broken ribs most likely stabs at you, crushed nerves and bleeds causes your body to twitch. Signals don’t work right between your brain and the rest of your attached body. You can’t breath. You can’t talk. But all the pain is rushing into your mind and you feel completely helpless. As the pain overwhelms your mind, you wonder why you haven’t passed out or died yet. The only physical response comes automatically and that is the pain driven tears coming out of your eyes as blood loss and shock sets in. Eventually, all external aspects of you being conscious stops and it looks like you have died, but you are still “aware” in your brain for another 2–3 minutes. Each moment of those 2–3 minutes will be subjective…. and could be an eternity or a moment. It could be filled with childhood visions or it could just be you screaming in a void in constant pain for what feels like years.Who can say?
I dream of someone get run over by a train?
I had this dream where i was with this two guy about the same age as me, were walking along the train track we weren't talking or anything just walking, then i look down and felt like i need to get of the track immediately and i did. I was now walking on flat cement and i know the guy are still on the track as the train past by really fast. In the inside i was really surprise the train was coming because i didn't hear anything but my face remain emotionless and i just kept walking and didn't look back to see the guy dead i just kept walking like nothing happen.
Should I let me boyfriend run over me with a train?
My boyfriend told me he is taking me to a party this friday with him and his friends! I was so excited. But he said I'm going to be the only girl there!!! That will be awkward. He said "Me and my friends are going to run a train on you!" This worried me a little so i said "What? That's going to hurt real bad! Would I die!" He laugehd and said "NO! itll feel great you definantly wont die but if you dnt do it wr ova" I told him yes but im so scared. It seems like a train running over you at full force woould hurt or atleast break a bone! seriously. But he said it's fine. I love himand dnt want it to end it though! do u think i should lethim run over me witha train or not? Seems dangerous and weird like in westerns. The party is suppsible at some abandon trailer park. I didnt even know thrre were train tracks there. ._. wtf. I think it might be a trick
I'm physically exhausted and feel like a train ran over me. What's your Godly advice for me?
Rest, and plenty of fluids to rehydrate yourself, and to lubricate your joints. I am in the same position; I've been painting for the past three weeks and oh my shoulder front and back is so stiff and sore I can't hardly move it. That's what happens when I change routines like that, I went from mowing and trimming to do a different motion with my arms ... from side to side, to up and down and out and every which a direction. I tell you something good; wherever it is sore or hurting, put on some ice-pack for 20 minutes each, then let warm for 20 minutes, then ice pack for 20 minutes...that'll help the muscles to go back to normal. Icy hot is good, too. Do stretches, too.
Is it normal to feel like you've been hit by a train when waking up after too little sleep?
I would say YES. And what is too little sleep for you? I used to think I could go with 4 hrs. sleep a night.Then three, if I could take a quick "power nap" about 3 p.m.But no.. this is not the way we're wired. After solving all or most of the problems that lack sleep, attention and slow reflexes cause (both mental and physical).. I'd like to ask.. if you were to do this..how many years would you be able to sleep half of what you're suppossed to sleep.. until you develop high blood pressure, water retention... and the permanent brain fog?They have a term for it now: Adrenal hornome depletion..And so on.. (By the way.. It's 5:21 p.m. on my clock on this Friday 10/10/2014 in Portland, Oregon, USA) Hope I can still get my credits.. (I'm wondering who decides that it is not 10/10/214 anymore..!
When you get hit by a train, do you die on impact?
my friend james commited suicide like a week ago (he stood on the tracks and waited for a train to come) and the train hit him. but i just want to know if he died on impact or if he suffered because i really hope he did not suffer. i dont know how fast the train was going, I guess at an average speed.
How does a train driver feel when they see someone lying on the tracks and they have no option but to run over them?
He has two options.To apply all the braking power he has in his control.To let it go.I will try to answer it with a bit of actual repurcussions of the situation.For a person trying to commit suicide under a train, an average 5 feet tall person weighing 70kgs can easily lie between the tracks and the train can pass over him provided he is not touching the tracks and is sufficiently away.However if he positions himself such that he is over the track then the beast cannot spare him unless he disappears in smoke.The whole of the engine is supported by 12 wheels in all i.e. almost 10000 kilos per wheel.Imagine it passing over you. Peace.Now the driver, if he applies the brakes, the life depends on the speed of the train and the distance.I just asked my father if there is an SOP for these cases and if there is a provision for this in the training schools as well.He answered that the driver is expected to use some common sense.He judges the stopping distance by the speed and decides if he can save a life and most people try for it.The repurcussions are the detention of the train and the derailment of the train possibly due to a hazardous coincidence of fault in the axle of a wheel, location of a faulty switching point and the heavy braking power of the train.However the case becomes even more complicated when an animal is in the scene rather than a human.The driver is compulsorily expected to stop the train and report it to the concerned authorities since a cow or a buffalo can easily get tangled in the engine which is usually the case and may possibly cause a heavy damage rendering the track useless for hours and a heavy financial loss consequently.
