Why Do I Get A Headache On Top Of My Head When I Shake It

Headache in back of head, hurts a lot when I shake my head side to side.?

Headaches are caused by tight neck muscles in the neck. The muscles go to the top of your head where they connect to muscles that go around the head. When the neck muscles are tight they pull the head muscles into pain and that's your headache. The pains in the back of your head are right off the muscles themselves and when you aren't moving you aren't putting the pressure on the muscles to cause pains which happens when you move you head. To get rid of the pain you have to free up your neck muscles to get the pressure off the muscles in the neck and here's how to free them up:
Neck
Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your neck. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. After about 30 to 45 seconds, when you don’t feel the muscles releasing any longer, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds. This should help with the migraines as well.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

Headaches when I don't eat for a while?

in my personal experience its because your body is not getting enough nutrition. your are lacking in certain areas of nutrition that cause these headaches. you might be anemic, so ask your doctor about your nutrition and bring up the headache situation, he or she can help you with finding something to help with headaches. my sister and i both had this. hope this helps.

Why do i get headaches when i Rollerblade or jog?

sometimes I get them too.. It might be too much strain on our bodies, or when we could be getting too hot, and sometimes when I get hot( temperature) I get a migraine.

Why does my head sometimes hurt when I shake it?

Because the pressure which is outside our body doesn't match to the pressure inside our skull. That's why in accidents the possibility of brain damage is more. The sudden imbalance in pressures can lead to brain haemorrhage.

My head hurts when i shake it?

On Friday (2 days ago) I did really hard exercises for basketball practice. Afterwards like 5 minutes later my head started hurting inbetween my eyes were u pinch your nose to make it stop bleeding. It was like a throbbing pain. Yesterday (saturday) my head was feeling a little better but not that much. Today, when I shake my head its hurts on the sides and on the top. I have been drinking lots of water but it doesn't go away.

The top left side of my head hurts when i shake it back and forth?

When I shake my head back and forth the top left side of my head hurts considerably. I noticed it about two weeks ago but I don't notice it all the time only when I'm doing something which involves alot of movement of my head. I can only describe the pain as a minor annoyance, it's kinda like pressure in that spot or it feels like someone is pushing down on it.
Also, when I came home from school this summer I basically stopped drinking sodas and caffeine and now it effects how I feel when I do. Around July 4th I drank alot of sodas and when I did that spot in my head would start to pulse. That was before this discomfort from shaking my head started and I just linked the pulsing to the caffeine headaches I was getting.

I'm planning on scheduling a doctor's appointment in the morning, but in the meantime please let me know if you have any idea what it could be.

I have a really bad headache, nasua and im shaking!!!?

The headache that you have is what is called a Migraine Headache. Often times, Migraines induce vomiting, and intense shaking. I had the lovely (sarcasm on the word lovely) pleasure of being born into a family that is prone to Migraines. Lay down and rest, and it will go away. Sorry for your pain. I know what you're feeling.

Headache in temples/top of head? Gets worse with movement. Help!?

The pain isn't sharp, just dull, and it's not constant. It gets worse when I shake my head fast side to side, but it doesn't get worse if I just move my head. I've been really stressed lately and I also just got bands put in for my braces a few hours ago. Could that be a cause of it? What does this sound like?
