Why Do I Get Migraines When I Drink

Why do we get a headache when drinking cold water?

The trigeminal nerve, shown in yellow, conducts signals from dilating blood vessels in the palate to the brain, which interprets the pain as coming from the forehead.Short answer:Brain freeze is practically a rite of summer. It happens when you eat ice cream or gulp something ice cold too quickly. The scientific term is sphenopalatine ganglioneuralgia, but that's a mouthful. Brain freeze is your body's way of putting on the brakes, telling you to slow down and take it easy.Long answer:A cold-stimulus headache, also known as brain freeze, ice-cream headache, trigeminal headache[1] [2] or its given scientific name sphenopalatine ganglioneuralgia (meaning "pain of the sphenopalatine ganglion"), is a form of brief pain or headache commonly associated with consumption (particularly quick consumption) of cold beverages or foods such as ice cream and ice pops.It is caused by having something cold touch the roof of the mouth, and is believed to result from a nerve response causing rapid constriction and swelling of blood vessels[3] or a "referring" of pain from the roof of the mouth to the head.[4] [5] The rate of intake for cold foods has been studied as a contributing factor.[6] A cold-stimulus headache is distinct from dentin hypersensitivity, a type of pain that can occur under similar circumstances.Cats and other animals have been observed experiencing a similar reaction when presented with a similar stimulus.[7]The term ice-cream headache has been in use since at least January 31, 1937, contained in a journal entry by Rebecca Timbres published in the 1939 book We Didn't Ask Utopia: A Quaker Family in Soviet Russia.[8]Footnotes[1] https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc...[2] Ice cream evoked headaches (ICE-H) study: randomised trial of accelerated versus cautious ice cream eating regimen[3] What causes an ice cream headache?[4] Ice cream headaches[5] http://www.medterms.com/script/m...[6] The Dairy Education eBook Series[7] Do Cats Actually Get 'Brain Freeze' When They Eat Cold Treats?[8] We didn't ask Utopia; a Quaker family in soviet Russia

Why do I only get headaches when I drink lemonade?

Real, fresh lemonade? Citrus allergy is possible but that would more likely show up as an issue in your GI tract. If it’s any kind of instant or artificial lemonade, now, that could be an issue. Especially if it uses “fake” sugars (any of the numerous real sugars your body can’t digest). To put it another way, I love Altoids Wintergreen flavor, but the Spearmint gives me a headache. Clearly there’s an ingredient difference, and something in the Spearmint bothers me where the Wintergreen does not.

Why do I get a headache when I stop drinking Coca Cola?

You have an addiction to Coca Cola, full stop. One bottle a day pretty much says it all. The same thing happens with people who try to stop drinking coffee or stop smoking cigarettes. Whenever your body is not getting something that you were originally supplying it with regularly, it is going to make you pay for it.Sometimes it's a headache, sometimes increased irritability, sometimes lethargy, and so on and so forth. This is just a beginning point when trying to stop an addiction to something. Eventually, you teach yourself not to need whatever it was and it doesn't occur.Coca Cola does have caffeine, which can be a very addictive substance so that might be it. Or it could also just be the sugar content. Either way, your body has been trained to believe that it needs the bottle of Coke.

There is hardly any medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for RA, OA, Back ache, Ear ache/ringing, Stomach ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.

Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES, Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION etc are their causes.
None of them can be treated with medicine.
Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.

Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.

Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.

Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, tension, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods, SMOKING and alcohole.

Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits like dates, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there.

But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.

If it is acute pl search a painful point (with round tipped pen/jimmy) 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

For forehead/eye pain the points are in front of nails on the finger tips or 3-7 mm below.

It may disappear naturally too.

Why did I have a headache after drinking redbull?

Ok so redbull is a drink I know a lot about!!!
So it is actually the combination of the caffine and the taurine. These chemicals have an effect on everyone who drinks it, even if they drink a lot and become less sensitive.
It can give people severe headaches, it can increase the heartrate of people and it can even cause your nervous system to become really sensitive and effect your stomach and bowel movements. I have been addicted to this before and trust me it properly did cause this.
A crash means a period in which you are at your peak and then you crash down suddenly. With redbull you experience a crash where you are feeling alert and awake but then all of a sudden you "crash" and no longer feel in this way, in fact you feel worse very quickly. If you are drinking the redbull with sugar this crash will be even harder because the sugar makes you peak even higher.
It is obvious that you are sensitive to these substances, most likely the taurine, which is a chemical that really is bad for a lot of people.
My advice is don't drink it again, you may become less sensitive to the affects with time, but it will cause you some health problems (like i am experiencing right now). In order to help me stay awake now, I take tea, and listen to upbeat music and exercise, have a shower late at night and so forth!
Good luck! hope you feel better now

Why do I get a headache if I don't drink tea one day?

It is because our body got adjusted for having caffeine in your system. These effects may include headaches, tierdness, irritability or muscle aches. Withdrawal symptoms usually go away almost immediatley after resuming your caffeine consumption.
