Why do I get headache after crying?
Two reasons really. Physical (muscular) tension and emotional tension. Think about all the muscles you use when you cry. From the neck to the face to the head, especially forehead, your muscles are involuntarily contracting- tensing up in all kinds of ways. You can’t help it. That’s just what happens when we cry. These muscles are being used in ways they are not normally used. That makes them achey and sore. You usually won’t notice it until you’ve stopped crying, when the have a chance to relax again, but do so gradually, giving you a lingering headache. Then there’s the emotions that go along with crying. You wouldn’t be crying if you were not really upset about something or someone. Someone you care about hurt you. Someone you trusted betrayed you. A bad situation came up, maybe suddenly, unexpectedly. And a million other circumstances that can happen and drive you to tears. All these negative emotions make you feel bad. Your body produces adrenalin, cortisol and other substances that rile you up. And they can bring on headaches and other discomforts that maybe you hadn’t even noticed. Sometimes the best thing you can do is let out. Just let it go. Find a private place to go to where you can cry and weep and sob. There’s no shame in this. We all go through this type of thing every now and then. We wouldn’t be human if we didn’t. Crying helps release negativity. Most people feel better after a good cry. This goes for men as well as women. And afterward, try to lay down in a dark, quiet room with a damp cold or warm (depends on which makes you feel better) washcloth over your eyes and forehead. Take some Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen if you are not allergic and don’t have a problem that prohibits you from taking these meds. Call a close, trusted friend and talk about what’s bothering you. If you believe in a superior being (Buddha, God, Jesus, Allah, Goddess- whatever you choose to call the being,) Pray. Hope this helps.
Why do I get such a bad headache while driving?
You are either tensing up while driving or you are holding your shoulders in a way to put pressure on your neck muscles. Headaches are caused by tight neck muscles. The muscles go to the top of your head where they connect to muscles going around your head. When the neck muscles get tight they pull the head muscles into pain and that's your headache. The pains alongside your head are from the muscles that go around your head. The pain in your neck is the one causing the headache itself. The nerves for your eyes go to the back of your head passing next to the neck muscles. When the muscles are tight they can press into the nerves to cause the pains on the back of your eyes. To get rid of these problems you have to free up your neck muscles and here's how to do that: Neck Release: Place your hands behind your head touching your fingers. Press into the back of your neck with them and hold the pressure on them. After 45 seconds slowly lower your head until your neck is fully extended. Release the pressure but hold your head there for another 30 seconds. repeat if needed. For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.
Why do I get a headache from gymnastics?
I am just beginning gymnastics again at an unheard of age. I bought a mat and am trying to get myself into shape again, but every time I am up side down, or flipping for 10 minutes I get a massive headache and have to stop. Will this go away with more practice? Is there anything I can do for it?

Why did i get such a bad headache from briefly looking at the sun today?
So today i looked up at the sun but it wasnt for that long, maybe 5 seconds...right away i felt pain in my head and as the day went on, it turned into a massive headache...by the time i got home from school, my headache was horrible...just moving my eyes around a room gave me this bad sore pain in my forehead, and i was sensitive to any light to the point where i was going to throw up because i felt so bad....it also made my headache worse to look at a screen of any kind....eye strain maybe? I know youre not supposed to look at the sun, and i never do, i guess i just wasnt thinking about what i was doing...later i learned that its really realy bad to look at the sun during a solar eclipse, and theres gonna be one in less than two days....is there a connection between the solar eclipse and my massive headache, or is it just a concidence? And if theres a connection, why did this happen?
