Why Do I Have Horror Dreams

How to get rid of horror movie dreams?

A day ago i watched grudge 1 and 2 and last night (the first night after watching it) i had a couple of nightmares. The weird part is i was on my phone during parts of the movie, and i didn't seem very scary to me. I have never ever gotten nightmares after a horror movie which is the weird thing. I have always been a fan o horror, but i tend to freak myself out by things like turning on the lights when i get out of bed thinking something is next to me or something stupid like that. I learned info about the actors, but i still had bad dreams. I had dreams like i was in the house where the grudge was, and one i had was that i was in one if the houses rooms yelling at her at the top of my lungs to go away. One i had several times is that she was at the end of a hallway and every time the lights in the hallway would flicker she would get closer, i remember trying to push myself awake several times. Please please can someone with a real answer tell me what to do?? I don't wanna have to deal with this again tonight.....

Why are my dreams like horror movies?

What is the meaning of horror dreams?

Presuming you haven’t watching actual horror movies or reading such books which can stimulate such dreams there are other possible causes and meanings of having dreams full of disturbing images and events (which might be different things for different people). Watching too much world news might influence dreams as well. Personal fears and anxieties can stimulate such dreams too.As a teen in the 1960s when threat of Nucler Warfare loomed large and there was much unrest in my country (USA) i had a LOT of post-apocalyptic dreams, scifi horror in a way. The mix of my own personal anxieties as a working class kid with lots of responsibility and no authority (i was a primary caregiver to my much younger brother my last year and half of high school) and the state of the world obviously weighed heavily on me.Be careful not to dismiss all such dreams as just being anxiety or fears, your subconscious is trying to tell you need to address those feelings and find the healthiest way you can to cope. i know in some parts of the world these days, including once again my own country—that can be difficult because the ‘bad news’ is so pervasive and relentless. A coping strategy i use is to seek out and share on social media ‘good news’ stories, ones that give us hope about the future of humanity, restore faith that there are good people in the world. i also do my best to be civil, courteous and kind to everyone…even when debating things on social media i don’t stoop to saying ugly hateful personal things to people but rather use facts to support my opinions.

Strange horror dream.. what does it mean.. ?

Midnight can represent a dark hour or period in your family's life or the world. Church turned upside down represent there are going to be some issues in the church which will be disastrous and everything in it will be shook up. Big python represents powerful and strong deception. Snake represents a deceit, deception, or fearful or enticing lie which comes against your family. Killing the python with the small stick represents this deception will quickly lose it's power and be vunerable to the slightest touch or attack.

What are the causes behind a horror dream?

covering oneself with too much clothes or sleeping in extremely hot environment is the main reason. Over a period of two yrs i have realized that  whenever I wake up suddenly after experiencing a bad dream i find myself sweating alot. so its kinda wake up mechanism your body uses whenever you are about to suffocate

I saw a horror dream after a long time. What does this mean?

First of all do not worry too much. Dreams or Nightmares are just thoughts which come to the mind when you are sleeping, nothing else. Do not listen to myths that if one sees a nightmare then it will affect you in one way or the other. In your case,at first you caught the ghost and then you must have thought about it for sometime, which is why you saw failing the second time.So forget about it.Before going to bed read some good book(self improvement or inspirational) or listen to some good conversation like that of Earl Nightingale

What is the logic behind horror dreams?

You are afraid of something in real life. That is really all there is to it.If you have a dream where you are scared; it is only reflecting some fear or anxiety that you exhibit in your waking life. That is really all the logic I can muster. Ironically enough, dreams don't have to follow logic and usually don't. It may be a fear or it may be that you watched too many scary movies and there is some residual influence left in your mind. It could also be a precognitive dream which is sent to warn you of something. Precognitive dreams are fairly uncommon though, so maybe you just need to watch something more "chill" when you "Netflix and chill"

Why do I have bad dreams every night?

Timur is correct in that dreams don't really have interpretations in the wa y that people think they do. Dreams are usually the result of thoughts and emotions in your head at the time, even if they're on a subconscious level. If you have a lot of bad dreams, maybe you have some pent up or repressed fear, worry, anger, etc. Basically, if there's something bothering you, it might have a tendency to cause bad dreams. (Dreams are weird; they might not actually focus on the subject at hand, just the emotions involved)That said, there might not be anything major causing the dreams at all and you just happen to be prone to bad dreams for one reason or another. I  would suggest doing some introspection to see if there are underlying issues and if necessary, do some research on ways to encourage more positive dreams or better sleep etc. I'm sure there are resources out there, but just make sure you aim for ones that seem to have some scientific basis and some legitimacy to their claims.
