Is It Normal For A 3 Year Old To Repeat Lines/Dialogue From A Movie?
I believe you are worrying way to much. Children this age are active and they are not going to listen to everything you tell them. As for movies if a parent lets them watch their favorite movie enough, yes they will remember lines and songs. My son who will be turning 4 in two weeks does the same thing. He loves watching CARS and BOLT as well as Thomas the Train movies over and over again. He will recite lines which amazes me. It lets me know he is actually paying attention and remembers what it is in the movies. In fact, he often times will tell me and other people stories about Thomas and his friends with a lot of creativity. Personally I would not have my child in a daycare where the teachers are complaining he is not cooperating with everything they ask him to do. You cannot expect a toddler to do everything you ask them to do. That's good that you pulled him out of the preschool though since it sounds like they lack true knowledge of a toddler. If the pediatrician is saying your son is normal then he is normal. Otherwise they would be sending you and your son to a specialist for testing. I understand you are worried about your son. Do your best to not listen to teachers again unless they have a professional background in early childhood education. If you have concerns then do what you did before- go talk to the doctor.
