Yahoo messenger games don't work anymore.. why?
I recently reinstalled windows on my computer. Now i have win xp sp2 (i had this before) and i also installed vista transformation pack to get a new look .As the title says, yahoo messenger games don't work anymore (and i'm not talking about games.yahoo.com .. that works fine, i talking about games in Y messenger). I installed java, uninstalled, installed y mess/uninstalled / installed .. then java again.. i even tryed an older version of java.. i tryed both manual and online instalation but nothing seems to work. When i start a game (pool for example) i get the gray screen.. sometimes i get a "Loading text" message .. and sometimes, after all this i get the all famous error from windows (u know.. the error report asking to send or not) and yahoo messenger closes. Before reinstalling windows the games worked just fine. So can anybody help me?...
Can a message from Facebook messenger be marked as delivered even when their devices are dead or off?

Why do I keep getting server not found error?
OK, if you are running messenger and have signed into yahoo via IE8 in the past , you need to sign out using the last browser you signed in with. While we use yahoo answers we are assigned cookies (and a lot of them),some browsers caches simply aren't fast enough to locate this info and send it in time for you to get a page to display. Some might suggest that your hard drive/s may be fragmented-but generally Win Vista and 7 are set to automatically defrag your hard drive/s If you haven't done a defrag in a while, now is the time to. Can you get to Google?- if so,it's not your connection. You could empty your browser cache and see if that helps,but you do also need to check for malware too Then , and only when you know you are logged out of yahoo, choose your new browser and log in with it. You may be asked for your password a zillion times,but if you want to try safari or Firefox, sometimes that is what seems to work when it comes to yahoo. Yahoo appear to prefer people to use IE8, they may not state this, but I know it to be a fact. You can't have an "old computer" if you are running Win7 can you? I keep getting an error message saying access denied, log in as administrator. I am trying to play the sims 1.?
I have never had this problem before, now all of a sudden I can't play it. I'm not sure if I installed something that is causing it to stop working or what. It won't even let me uninstall it. I have Windows 7 OS. If anyone know what is causing this, please explain to me what I need to do to fix it. Thanks in advance.

Why can't I play a Facebook game in my Google Chrome browser?
As stated in the earlier answer playing game online that too on Facebook requires Adobe Flash Player but all the latest version on Google Chrome has inbuilt Flash Player so if its the latest version of chrome then you need not install flash player from any other source but you can simply reinstall Google Chrome but even after reinstalling Chrome the problem still persists then you can install Non-IE Flash Player from Adobe's website https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ ORhttp://filehippo.com/download_fl...Make sure to install stable version of Flash Player and not Beta version. How does messaging work in WhatsApp? Is this the right approach for communication between client and server? Is the client always connected to the internet when waiting for a response?
WhatsApp uses XMPP (eXtensible Messaging and Presence Protocol) to handle the message delivery system.XMPP is mostly like HTTP where the client opens the socket with the XMPP server and keeps it open as long as the client is logged in. It's not like the regular REST API where the client opens the socket send/receive the data and close the socket. The socket is opened as long as you are signed in. In case of WhatsApp that's eternity (not really, WhatsApp reconnects automatically if the connection terminates)XMPP protocol has been used in various chat applications such as Google Talk, Facebook messenger etc. I have been working on XMPP since last year and that's when I got to know what this protocol could bring. It's not limited to chat apps though. We're developing an application of our own which is not a chat app.As far as actual technology goes, WhatsApp uses heavily customized version of Smack library on Android to build their client and uses customized eJabberd Server to handle the XMPP traffic. They might have different backend solution for handling the data though which might be on one of the cloud storage/computing network (I think it's heroku, no real idea though).On iOS and other platforms, I suppose they might have developed their own libraries. Developing own libraries is not a lot of work, especially when you have customized needs and have a team of developers. I have used one of the libraries available for Windows Phone and heavily customized them to work for us. Cant open file location in Windows Task Manager?
I am not certain this will work, but this is the fix that got pools.exe off of my computer (I had it too), and im not getting "pools.exe" in my Task Manager anymore For me it was located here: C:UsersUSERNAMEAppDataRoamingMozilla, I don't have firefox, so that was suspicious From what I have read it will be different on your system but what will be the same is it looks for a program directory that has not been used in around three months. What I did was I just used the serach bar and looked for "pool" and it should tell you where it is. Once you find it RENAME IT, it won't let you delete it because it is in use. Next open regedit, go to here: ComputerHKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftware MicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun Delete the reference to pools.exe. (mine was named Keyboard.ini) Now restart your system, then delete pools.exe (that you should have renamed) and the image file next to it just to be safe, because that seems to be "damaged or corrupt" Hope this helps :)
