Why Do I Keep Having Extremely Gorey Dreams

I have violent dreams about harming others and I feel extremely sad and guilty afterwards?

Soooo I have violent dreams where I hurt someone or something (like one of my pets) and it's very gory a lot of the times and right after I hurt them or whatever I feel extremely sad and depressed. BTW THIS IS IN MY DREAM I DON'T ACTUALLY HURT MY PETS OR PEOPLE. I actually avoid fighting physically and arguing with people. Point is, I keep having these dreams and they're effecting my day. I'm very upset during the day after these dreams and I just want to know why I'm having them and how I could stop them if that's even possible? Btw I have PTSD, anxiety, sever depression, and suicidal thoughts. Figured you'd need to know that in case that's why I'm having these dreams.

Why am I having violent dreams? Dreams have rage, gore, death of closed ones, medical conditions and I'm experience it since a couple of months.

When I run into difficulties such as feeling unsecured in my waking life, and if I worried too much, I will carry the emotion into my sleep, and thus the dreams, which are visual ways to show my fears.Want to get out from the situation? There are several ways. The most natural way to do is to blank out your mind every evening when you are lying in bed before you sleep. How do you blank out your mind? There are several ways. The most natural way is to practice deep breathing, and focus on your breathing the whole time. When you focus on your breathing, you will blank out everything else. If you cannot do it the first time, try it again. It takes practice. It takes 100 days to perfect the technique.Once you master the technique and do it everyday, you will not only have peaceful sleep, you will also improve your general health. You will rejuvenate your body and return to your youth.

Having gruesome dreams?

I've been having these gruesome and gory dreams for a week straight now.

Jul 17th: seven dead mutilated animals surround me. A cat, a goat, a cow, two dogs, an elephant and a parrot. This ones been reoccurring for months.

Jul 18th: I'm walking along the highway, There's an accident involving 5 people. There's a man in half, a separated head, a child's foot, 2 dead women, and a dead man.

Jul 19th: I am being held captive, and I witness a masked man shotgun a women in the face. Very graphic.

July 20th: Randomly playing soccer, a "friend" (no one I know in real life) trips and gets impaled through the chest with a peg sticking out of the ground. His guts are attached to the peg, and he's still alive and screaming.

July 21st: I can't remember how it starts but for some reason or another I start randomly bludgeoning a relatively young kid with a hammer.

July 22nd: I am working in some construction environment and a coworker (no one I know in real life, again) and a man throws himself into a table saw and gets cut apart down the middle. It wasn't gory, but damned bloody. And he gets up and each half start continuing to work.

July 7th: I'm walking with a group of friends (no one I know, AGAIN) and suddenly one of my "friends" calls for my help, and I turn around and his head is completely caved in with blood coming from his mouth, again, he's still alive and talking normally.

The only relation I can find in these dreams (other than gore) is that I never actually know the people that are dying, and most of them (save 2) are caused by human error.

I don't believe in dream interpretation as a fortune teller, but I believe in it as my brain telling something about myself... So maybe someone can try to interpret them so I don't think I'm about to go on a murderous rampage?

Why do I have extremely violent dreams?

While there is no science to back this up, Freud and others in the psychoanalytic school believed there was a way to decode dreams. The primary ideas are:1.  Your dream is wish fulfillment2.  Your dream highlights your fears.Keep in mind that dreams have manifest and latent content.  A violent act in a dream may mean a violent act but it also could be an unconscious expression of many other things (whatever your unconscious decides), for instance, violence could reprsent a desire for dominance, trying to gain control, the chaos in one's life, and so forth. So if it were wish fulfillment, we could say that your violent dreams may be an unconscious wish for relief from boredom.  Alternately, it could represent a fear of not being in control. And a last note about vivid dreams -- sometimes they occur simply because we eat certain foods before we go to bed.  Avoid KFC coleslaw haha.

Why are my dreams... so weird/violent/gory?

My dreams have been odd for the past year. They have always been vivid. many times they will have a Magical or "fantasy story type" element. for example, wizards, me being a shapeshifter (usually to a wolf) they all have dark themes (dark colors and ... storylines? sometimes music) many times, it will be extremely gory (blood, ect) i am either alone, or i have one person there with me(usually a girl...) a lot of times im easily out numbered, but still fight. often i even get hurt, and i feel that too... but i dont wake up. a lot of times, it is a few people i care about or im friends with getting hurt, or something, and suddenly either im hurt with them or (more often) im the only one left, and i either have to save them or leave. a lot of them are set in past-ish times, but a few (more lately) have been in modern or futuristic settings.....i can actively think in the dreams as well.....lately, i will have a dream of betrayal... sometimes i will throw myself at my enemies, not really caring what happens to me.... they are sometimes shapeless, sometimes definite.... explain.... some of the feelings and behaviors are seeping into real life.

What's up with my gory, disgusting dreams?

To see blood in your dream, represents life, love, and passion as well as disappointments. If you see the word "blood" written in your dream, then it may refer to some situation in your life that is permanent and cannot be changed. If something else is written in blood, then it represents the energy you have put into a project. You have invested so much effort into something that you are not willing to give it up.

To dream that you are bleeding or losing blood, signifies that you are suffering from exhaustion or that you are feeling emotionally drained. It may also denote bitter confrontations between you and your friends. Your past actions has come back to haunt you. Women often dream of blood or of someone bleeding, shortly before or during their periods or while they are pregnant. If you dream that you are giving or donating blood, then it suggests that you are feeling physically drained due to stress.

To dream that others are bleeding, signifies an emotional cry for help.

To see barbed wire in your dream, represents difficulty in breaking through or getting your point across to someone.

To dream that you are caught in barbed wire, suggests that you are feeling trapped and restricted in some relationship. You find yourself confined to specific boundaries.

I have really gorey dreams where I act casual?

So for a while now I ve been having dreams where there is something extremely gorey happening and I am calm about it. I don t dream often and they mainly end up turning into video games either real or that my mind creates. For example one dream I had I was laying in some medical room and was chained to a metal table and so was someone else next to me. Then a creepy masked man came in and started torturing the other guy and I was just enjoying watching it. Then he sawed his head off and went to me and I woke up, but I wasn t freaked out at all. I was excited he was coming to me. Another example is I was buying a house and we got to one and it looked nice on the outside, just a tiny house with 3 rooms, and so we went in and there were dead bodies everywhere and I was just like "this is a nice home!". Then we went into the bedroom and there were more dead bodies and another masked man who walked up to me slowly and took off his mask, and I was still talking about how I was interested in buying. Meanwhile the realtor was freaking out. And in every dream I just accepted it as normal. Could this be that I m just desensitized to gore since I see it so often in video games and tv? Or is it my mental illnesses? It s just weird I dream of it so often and so casually, I m never scared in them. I just feel like if my life was threatened in that sort of way in REAL life I would be scared. And I m not really aware that I m dreaming in dreams, so I don t know. Thank you in advance.

What does it mean to have an incredibly gory dream?

Dreams are not to be taken literally. If you dream that you do something violent, it does not mean that this action will occur in reality. Dreams are the unconscious mind's way of helping us to process issues and events of the day or of what has happened in your life. If you keep having the same dream, and it is affecting your sleep or your health, then you should see a doctor.

Repeated Gory Death Dreams, What does it mean?

I woke up at 5:00am this morning and was pleased that I had an hour and a half longer to sleep. I went back to sleep and proceeded to have several dreams in which I watched 3 people die an extremely gory and bloody death in very unusual ways. I woke up just after the final one, which was the most graphic, and was very affected because I remember each very vividly. I made a passing mention of it to my wife and got a weird reaction from her because she's had a lot of death in her family over the years.

I tried to forget about it but on the way to work this morning, I saw an animal control truck in the center of the road picking up a dead dog and putting it into a bag. There was lots of blood. Then 5 minutes later I saw a large cat in the center of the road that had been hit. It was also not in good shape. I've driven this same route to work at the same time for over a year and had never seen anything like this.

Coincidence? Maybe. All of it has just put me in a weird mood today. Should I be expecting something else to happen? I was expecting my tire to blow out while I was on the interstate or something. What does it all mean????
