Why Do Identical Smartphone Devices Running Android Sometimes Upgrade To Different Android Versions

Why doesn't Android update all phones that run Android when Apple updates all devices to the current versions?

Because Apple is the manufacturer of the devices and developer for its software. But in case of Android, there are plenty of manufacturers with plenty of configurations and they all add their own additional layer to the existing android OS(Developed by Google) for uniqueness . for example: Samsung- TouchWiz, HTC- Sense. So whenever android version is released they have to develop their additional layer to support the new android version and then test it on all their devices, that is the reason it takes time. Sometimes they just don't release it for older devices.

How do I install two different versions of the same app in Android?

I can see this, the two of Quorans are saying that it is not possible, however it’s possible and really easy if you follow these steps(Check pictures too):Install the older version( it has to be older than the available version) of the app.Download Download Lucky Patcher [Original] App | Lucky PatcherNow tap the app (the app of which you want two versions)Tap the “Tools” in the drop-down menu.Select “Clone Application”Wait for a some time (depends upon app size) and you will see dialog box, where you can go to the cloned file or directly install the clone file. Now, as you have cloned the older version of the app, you can uninstall the original app and install the other version(other than the version of the cloned app) of the app by downloading the other version apk file. or you can also directly update the app to the latest version of the app, this doesn’t affect the version of the cloned app!Note: I am not affiliated to this app in any way and I am referring to this app though there are other many cloning app because other cloning app directly update the cloned apps too after the updating of the original app installed! Hope this helps!

Current problem with getting yahoo email on android phones?

I had no problems sending/receiving yahoo emails (IMAP) through my Droid incredible until this morning when it stopped working/synching completely. I deleted the account and reset it. It will not work. I've been able to access my mail through the yahoo mail app that is available through the marketplace but I'd rather get the emails directly to the phone. Verizon says its a problem with Yahoo's updating its server. What can I do?

Why is iphone better than android ?

It depends on each person's preferences I think. If you love ready to go gadget and don't really care about being custom, go with iPhone. If you highly love to customize something but sometimes you will get non-compatibility, well go with Android.

Both is good for each own reason :D

Why is Android so slow at getting updates?

Why is Apple consistent in updates ?It is because they have their own hardware and software bundled together and is perfectly crafted to give the user a best experience. Once the updates are tested by the respective network carriers it is rolled out once and the process is very smooth. The software is also much optimised from time to time giving the user the best of experience. They mostly manufacture flagship devices and due to lesser number of devices they are able to concentrate on a limited or may be very few number of devices so that the updates can be made faster and smoother. Why is Android slow in updates ?Google releases source code to OEM’s and they further customise it the way they want in a way which they think might satisfy consumers. The device is then tested by the network career. This updates are faster for flagship devices as they are the ones that are in the target, now a days a single company has 1000’s of phones that are designed ranging from a low budget to a high budget, a company cannot handle the same tedious process for a number of devices and hence they are prioritised, so most phones receive the update or sometimes do not.If you wish to receive updates faster then you must opt for either flagship devices of the respective OEM or go for a Google branded device like Pixel or Nexus. Pixel/Nexus receive the maximum updates and are the first ones to experience the fresh Android as soon as the OS arrives.
