Which hotel companies in the US sponsor visas to non-US citizens?

Yes. But now the number has significantly decreased. It may be possible if you have an added source in the company to refer you for sponsorship. But now most Hotels stay away from these legal issues due to the fact of available professional manpower within the United States. Unlike other companies, the company that stands out in International transfers is Four Seasons. Within a span of 5 years, an average Four seasons hotel transfers more than a hundred employees worldwide. This includes the United States. This is mostly the L-1 visa and is mostly targeted to managerial positions. It is also restricted in other developed countries such as Canada and European nations. Countries in the far east,  middle east and the Indian oceans the transfers are not restricted by positions. But I know of instances when a Four seasons hired (H1-B) one of our best managers from my previous group in India(The Oberoi Group)to be the Restaurant Operations Manager in the States.

How do I get an employer to sponsor J1-VISA?

Generally you don’t. In most cases you find a J1 sponsor separate from the employer or host company. The Department of State designated sponsor will then sponsor your program and provide oversight while the employer provides the actual job.I’m not sure what J1 category you are actually applying for, but I’ve answered a similar question for those interested in the J1 intern program here: Victor F's answer to What type of US visa should I apply for if I am doing an internship in the USA, and my sponsor is not listed on the sponsors list? - QuoraI hope that this is useful.

What is the best J1 visa sponsorship organization?

Even after having worked for a J1 sponsor I can say that some applicants have a horrible experience with a sponsor that others have highly praised. Key staff members occasionally do depart and leave departments in turmoil. The government can change laws which send sponsors into a tail spin trying to adjust which affects applicant experience. You might get the one staff member that sucks while everyone else on the team is great.Your best bet is to contact multiple different sponsors and ask for pricing and how quickly they are issuing forms DS2019 at this time. Most sponsors have their publicly advertised turnaround time, but an honest sponsor will tell you what their current average is to give you an idea of what you can expect. If you don’t like your initial interaction with the sponsor before they have your money, how much worse will it be once you’ve already paid them? You also don’t mention what J1 program you are considering applying for. Keep in mind that there are approximately 12 different J1 categories from Au Pair to Medical Physician to Secondary Student. There is no 1 sponsor designated for every single category and just because a sponsor runs a great program in one category, it doesn’t mean that another category is equally as good.Feel free to follow up if I can provide any more specifics.

Is a J1 visa a good way to get into the US to look for an H1B sponsor?

Possibly. If you come to the US on a J1 visa then you can technically apply for an H1-B visa at the beginning of the new fiscal year if the visa cap has not already been met. However, if your employer is exempt from the status then you are eligible to apply at any time.Potential issues:Visa cap is met and you can’t complete the J1 to H1-B transferYour J1 visa may have a 2-year home residency requirement (meaning you must reside in your home country for two years before applying for any type of work visa). To avoid the residency requirements, you may be eligible to apply for a J1 visa waiver to simplify the process.J1 visa waiver requirements:No Objection StatementInterested Government Agency in the U.S.Claim of PersecutionClaim of Exceptional HardshipRequest from Designated State Health AgencyAs you may already know, the immigration process can be complicated. I need an agency in the Philippines that helps me get a H2B visa type to be able to work in USA?

I have a degree in Bachelor of Science major in Tourism and had enough work experience in hospitality industry. I've been in america for one year to work with a J1 type of visa to do my internship. Now I got back in the Philippines and currently working at the Marriott Hotel here but I still want to go back to america and work. I want to try the H2B visa but I need a trusting agency here in the philippines to help me come back with a working visa.

Why do US companies dislike hiring interns who need visa sponsorship?

Many companies use their internship programs to “test drive” potential future hires before they make a commitment. If they know the intern will require sponsorship in the future and they know they don’t want to deal with the hassles of getting them a visa, then they don’t see the point in bringing them in as an intern if they know there is no chance of hiring them full-time in the future.

How to find a H1B sponsor at hotels either in Canada or America?

Nowhere.
You'll need an advanced university degree and a few years of experience in one of the hard sciences. Hotel management is not a field where they could sponsor somebody for an H1-B. Nuclear physics is, mathematics, marine biology, genetics, etc.

Changing jobs with J1 visa HATE DOOR TO DOOR SALES!?

I think the above answer is the reason why so many of these foreign j1 work/travel visa students get taken advantage of from these so called reputable door to door companies.

YES YES YES you can change jobs if you are on a 4 month j1 work visa. You can't however just quit your current job and go find another. There are a few hoops you must jump through. First you must contact your sponsor--the org. that issued your j1 work/travel visa and let them know that you are needing to change jobs. They will advise you if the new employment adheres to the specific category to your j1 visa.

There are certain jobs that a j1 work/travel visa holder can not have: Participants may not be employed as domestic employees in U.S. households or in positions that require them to invest their own money to provide themselves with inventory for the purpose of door- to-door sales.

You will also need to contact SEVIS and let them know of the job change and any new address you may have within 7 days of the change.

I am very sorry that this girl has found herself caught up with the ugly side of American business, where so called "reputable", "been in business for 150 years", companies brainwash these gullible students into thinking if they beat on enough doors, and sell the sizzle NOT the steak, they will guilt us stupid Americans into buying a product they do NOT want or need. That is NOT what America is all about. And kids this IS NOT THE AMERICAN EXPERIENCE THAT WILL BUILD YOUR CHARACTER!

There are plenty of American jobs for these kids, on this work program that will ACTUALLY allow them to experience true America and also have a life (not working 80 hours a week--6 days a week!) and actually make money with decency and honesty and still have respect for themselves at the end of the day!

God bless you for taking this kid in and saving her from these scum bags! I wish more people would open their eyes to injustices and lend a helping hand!
