Why are Jews funnier than gentiles?

Whether or not Jews are actually funnier than gentiles is a subjective call. But it is true that there are a lot of Jewish comedians and most people have at least heard of "Jewish humor," whether they enjoy it or not.I suspect this is the case because...a) Telling jokes is an entrenched part of Jewish culture. I come from a Jewish family and, though many of my relatives (including me) aren't religious, we all share that cultural trait. We bond by telling jokes. We compete with each other for who can tell the best joke, etc. Joking, to many Jews, is a coping mechanism for times of sadness. In my family, there's never an inappropriate time for jokes. And the concept of a joke -- as my culture sees it -- is extremely malleable. Depending on the emotion at hand, we tell joyful jokes, bitter jokes, silly jokes, sarcastic jokes, biting quips, shaggy-dog stories, etc.Also, Jewish culture tends to allow (and encourage) self-mockery. It's always interesting when I make a joke at my own expense. When I do it, I don't tend to feel any self-hatred. I'm "just joking." But every so often, someone from a different background, says, "That's TERRIBLE! Why would you say something like that about yourself?" And I think, "Why WOULDN'T I say something like that about myself?"b) Verbosity and education are prized in Jewish communities. That, mixed with a culture that values humor, leads to a lot of people who write jokes down, who edit and refine their jokes, who work to make their jokes smart and to get hired as Joke Writers.I am skeptical that, when asking questions like this (why does certain culture have a particular trait?) there's always an answer. There had to be an initial cause, of course -- there had to be some reason why Jews first became jokesters. But once a generation or two shares a cultural trait, that traits tend to run on innertia. Jews joke because Jews joke. That's to say that we grow up in families that joke and so joking is normal to us. And we pass that norm to our children.

It is because they aren’t Jews but are Christians. It is because Jews cannot believe in Jesus nor his teachings in any way, shape or form. That is how Judaism has become when it grew besides Christianity. Most of those “Messianic Jews” aren’t Jews at all (because they have never went through a full, real conversion to Judaism nor were they born Jewish [which is born from a Jewish mother]) and those who were Jews, are generally considered apostates. Also, all of Judaism says that “Messianic Judaism” is Christianity, but also some of Christianity admits that “Messianic Judaism” is Christianity not Judaism.

Does Judaism believe that God cares more about Jews than about Gentiles?

The Jewish Bible (i.e., the Old Testament or Hebrew Bible or Tanakh) is a Jewish religious book. Moreover, Judaism is a Jewish religion. If the Jewish God does in fact show more care for a Jew (or a Israelite), then this would not be very surprising. In the Jewish Bible (Torah) God (or the Jewish God) does give the Jews a special position in mankind (Priests). However, in the Torah God also does command the Jews to be fair with non-Jews. Jewish thoughts has also seem to be fair with the non-Jews.
