Yes. The recession ended in July 2009, and it helped our economy start to grow again. We even had +3% GDP growth and 200,000+ new jobs per month added to the economy. In fact, recovery was going so well that Republicans adopted an agenda of smothering economic growth, by demanding spending cuts and laying off thousands of public employees, in order to make sure the economy doesn't recover so much that they have no hope of defeating Obama in 2012.

Yep, there are liberals who own firearms, believe in personal freedom, don’t buy into the gun grabber narrative, and fight like hell to find real answers to real issues.Gun control laws are the answer to “gun violence” just as taxing rates on pop is the answer to obesity, Small wonder both are touted and financed by the same billionaire. It’s an overly simplistic answer to an extremely complex issue. Firearms have been around in society since the 12th Century, the semi-automatic firearms have been around since around the turn of the 20th century, and have been for sale in the U.S. in a number of forms, rifle, pistol and shotgun for most of that time without being a problem within society. The mass shooting phenomenon first received widespread attention in 1966. Before that, most people used explosives, fire, automobiles and other devices in an attempt to act on crazy, antisocial tendencies.Sure people did the occasional bad thing with guns but thinking people used existing law to punish them for those deeds on an individual, legally mandated, case by case, way. It was the individual or group of individuals that planned and perpetrated these deeds who got punished, not innocent society in general. Please define slander, libel, and defamation?
Slander is verbal defamation. Libel is written defamation. Defamation is a false statement, made with the requisite degree of what the law calls malice (which may includes a degree of reckless disregard for the truth), which damages the person about whom it is made. The requisite degree of malice varies by the type of statement and the person about whom it is made. The rest of the course takes a semester or so...but the standards do not vary simply because the statement is posted on the internet.
