Why did kiss remove the make-up (and costumes) in 1983?

Wow good question.I've been a fan since 1976(I'm 43 now).It had to do with a failed album that was to a comeback album(And Tour).Creatures of the Night
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creatures_o...
They drifted away from their hard rock/metal sound after the solo albums(Dynasty and Unmasked-Music from The Elder).That album and tour were supposed to put them back on the map.But it tanked.Most of the tour was canceled as the album was without Ace.It was Vinnie Vincent on the album and tour.They needed a reboot(Like movies do nowadays).They caught the cusp of a resurgence of Heavy Metal in the early 80's.So since Ace and Peter had been fired(Or quit depending on a point of view).They figured what the heck lets start over.
Lick It Up was great album(Trust me I even remember where I bought it at Rock and Roll Heaven at Route Flea Market in East Brunswick N.J-Johnny Zazula's store the guy who discovered Metallica/Anthrax/Kings X).That was great tour they had a new fire in their belly.I was at Radio City Music hall on the 1st night of a 2 night gig for them(That's 12,000 for 2 shows).It was wild to see them work the stage without their boots on.
I loved the new era of KISS up to Crazy Nights(Crappy album so-so tour).
I was also at the Garden when did the Reunion tour in 96.After seeing the era of non makeup it was pretty wild to see them back.
KISS FAN 4-Life(I've also met Eric/Paul/Eric Singer-and hung out with Ace-he was such a great guy)
They decided to put the make up back because of Nirvana.Seriously did you hear the Carnival of Souls album-It was Kiss meets grunge.Plus the fact the record label didn't want to release it!
The Kiss Konvention tour was the reason.It was great place to be at(I was at Rose-land!).8 hours or more of Kiss.They saw the fans wanted the make up back on.Besides the fact that if I wanted to see someone stare at their shoelaces at least Kiss had better laces(Paul's quote in 96).
They always treat us with respect.I know after meeting Paul he will do just about anything for a fan!

Heres a sight that will show you the costumes from each album/tour.

I almost bought the B costume(I was out bid by $2,000-It sold for $7,000 back in 1988)

Heres a sight that has some of my bootlegs.

Peace love and KISS.

Why do Major League Baseball managers only use their closers in the ninth-inning, instead of at a more critical point late in the game when the most difficult batters are coming to the plate?Because it is hard to break with 150 years of tradition; managers have been using closers only at the end of the game for so long, they have come to believe the old ways are still the best ways.This is actually not 100% true anymore.With the advent of Sabermetrics and the Information Age, there are some (albeit very few) managers if you have embraced the new bullpen methodology.Joe Maddon, of the 2016 World Series Champion Chicago Cubs, is considered the first manager to brace new baseball strategies, including use of the starting rotation and bullpen.Maddon and known for doing a number of things outside the box of traditional managerial decisions.However, it is Terry Francona, of the Cleveland Indians, who used Andrew Miller during the 2016 postseason and World Series playoffs to great effect, almost winning the World Series.In other words, expect more managers to begin implementing such strategies, both in the playoffs and eventually during the regular season.

When you refer to someone as "Boss" is it derogatory?

Being called "Boss" can be seen as derogatory and disrespectful, depending on the circumstances, because "BOSS" when used derisively is an acronym for "Bossy Old Stupid ****" (and, sometimes, "Big Old **** Stain"). If someone calls you a "Boss" and you get along with them, or the circumstances are congenial, it s likely they re just being nice. If, on the other hand, there is tension, or disdain for you, they are probably being insulting. Personally, I generally question anyone that drops double-edged titles like "Boss", "Chief", or "Captain" around me and let them know that those are not the best terms to use. That may be too confrontational for you, so, you ll have to decide if you actually want to take offense when you re not certain any was given.

Why do the leaves on my Rose-bushes get dark spots on them?

~~~~~~~~~~~cut 'n paste
For Black-spot fungus on roses: Make the Fels Naptha Solution by shaving 1 inch of Fels Naptha bar into a nylon stocking and placing it into a gallon of boiling water along with 4 ounce of liquid dish soap (Ivory). This will keep nicely and you can use it as needed. It will have a gel-like consistency so mix well before using. For the black-spot fungus, mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda, 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon of Fels naptha solution and 1 gallon of water. Spray as needed.
IMPORTANT***** In recent years soap manufacturers have added degreasers and antibacterial ingredients to their products. These are VERY harmful to your plants and most likely will burn or kill them. When a home gardening technique calls for liquid dish soap be very careful that you use only Ivory or Fels Naptha Solution. You can also use the original liquid lemon type detergent which has no additives, just be careful that it does not contain a degreaser or is antibacterial.
Store as needed and shake well before use. It will have a gel-like consistency.) Mix 1 cup of Fels Naptha Solution with 1 cup antiseptic mouthwash (mint flavored if nematodes are a problem) and 1 cup chewing tobacco juice. Spray with a 20-gal hose-end sprayer with a golf ball in it to keep mixture mixed. Follow-up with an application of Dursban or Diazinon, if needed.
Correct Me If I'm Wrong ..... Stats Involving Saves Are Over-Rated .....?
Are they really over-rated? Ask the starting pitcher who now has a win in his stats. Ask the team that just won a highly contested game if it is over-rated, sometimes that one win determines a team's chances of making the play-offs. I have a lot of admiration for closing pitchers, they go out there to do one thing, and one thing only; protect a lead, if just a one hit lead, it is still a lead. And the mindset of the opposing team players that the closer is facing is definitely than what they were when they faced they starting pitcher, or the relief pitcher, now they are desperately trying to get some more runs for their team, to either get a win, or force the game into extra innings with a tie. If you need any more proof of how valuable a closer is, check out the best; Mariano Rivera, who just earned his 500 career win[ and also had his very first RBI ] If you ask me, closers have been under-rated for far too long.
