Why Do Many Conservatives Love Fetuses So Much But Are Unwilling To Provide Programs To Help Poor

Why do conservatives hate poor people?

They call them lazy, out of shape losers, that's not how you should treat a human being. You're pretty criticizing 20% of the country, and you bow down on the top 1%......

Poverty is a vicious cycle, when you're poor, you can't afford a car to drive to work, you can't afford proper clothes for an interview. I know plenty of poor people, and they're not lazy at all, they try whatever they can do to survive. It's highly immoral and very unchristian to take away government assistance programs like food stamps.

What does it mean to be fiscally liberal and fiscally conservative?

In general, fiscal liberalism involves a greater government role in the economy. A fiscal liberal would probably support a minimum wage, a more progressive income tax, social welfare, government regulation of businesses, and increased government spending.

In short, "to be fiscally liberal" means "to believe that government intervention is the best way to bring about economic equality and development."

Fiscal conservatism, on the other hand, emphasizes personal economic freedom and a lesser government role. A fiscal conservative would probably oppose a minimum wage and social welfare, favoring private charity, lower, flatter taxes, less regulation of businesses, government subsidies to businesses, and reduced government spending.

In short, "to be fiscally conservative" means "to believe that a free market will best serve the needs of all people involved."

Arguments can be made for both schools of thought. Deregulation of businesses may result in greater economic growth- however, it may result in problems, such as pollution and worker exploitation. A minimum wage will increase wages, but it may also increase unemployment.

Of course, "liberal" and "conservative" have been used to mean many different things. The Republican Party in more recent years has increased government spending and the national debt, despite traditionally being the fiscally conservative party. Likewise, reducing the debt has become a focus of the traditionally fiscally liberal Democrats.

That's a lot of information, I know, but that's the basic idea. Here are the philosophies in a nutshell:
Fiscally liberal: government does more so the people do better, making the economy do better.
Fiscally conservative: government does less so the economy does better, making the people do better.

Why do some liberals refer to fetuses as “tissue” or “a lump of cells”?

I may be a “leftist liberal,” by some definitions. “I” do not dehumanize unborn children. “I” do not call them tissue / lumps of cells / etc.And who, pray tell, are you to decide “leftist liberals dehumanize unborn children”? What kind of a horse’s-ass question is this? Before you go asking apparently daft questions with (your) hidden agendas in mind, perhaps you’d like to a) post your definition of “leftist liberal”; b) name some people who qualify under your definition; c) ask them, individually, whether they do or do not “dehumanize unborn children” by “calling them tissue / lump[s] of cells”; then d) post any responses you receive to this so-called question. You would then presumably have an answer to your “question” if you direct it toward those people who agree with your categorization of “leftist liberal” and who agree that they refer to fetuses as “tissue / lumps of cells.” They’re the only ones who could tell you “why” they use such terms.I suspect you aren’t even reading the answers posted here. Your mind is clearly made up, and you are promoting your opinion under the guise of “question.” You aren’t curious about this issue. You aren’t interested in any opinion other than your own.And I’m left to wonder - why did you bother posting this? Did you think you’d change some leftist liberal’s mind? Did you want to cast aspersions on liberals in some back-handed way? When - if ever - you’re serious about learning, when - if ever - you open that closed mind of yours, post a real question on here and you will undoubtedly get real answers.Until then, your best bet is hobnobbing in an endless circle of “We’re right, we’re right” with other conservatives.NB: This question was worded originally as “Why do leftist liberals dehumanize children, calling them: “tissue”, “lump of cells”, etc? [sic] Clearly the original poster must be reading at least some of the responses, since s/he has tweaked the question a little.

Your opinion on food stamp debit cards, deserving people or just freeloaders?

So back when I used to live in Lowell MA I would constantly see minorities using welfare EBT cards to pay for all the items then take out cash to buy scratch tickets and cigarettes. These people were usually spanish looking or black and almost always had babies with them. So now I moved to a beach community that appears middle class to rich people, yet at the local market I keep seeing white trash looking people using the same welfare cards to pay for ere items which include T bone steaks, fresh marinated chicken breasts, Nestle toll house cookies, Doritos, Lays chips, etc. Basically the buy all the higher priced named brand foods instead of buying the generic brands and not appearing to buy just the basics that one on a budget would buy. Do you agree that someone claiming they are poor should be given a state issued debit card loaded with about $600 a month to use to buy almost whatever they want, or should they be limited to the basics and have that money lowered? All I keep seeing is abuse of this taxpayer funded program, I have even seen some lady who didnt even speak english buy 2 bottles of nail polish then try to get cash back on that welfare card. If someone is poor but they are working you see them clipping coupons and only buying things on sale, but these welfare people seem to live it up and buy things as though they can afford it all. Should this abuse and fraud stop, or should we just keep allowing it to happen?
