Do we, Indians, really need to stop being judgmental?
I've found a few issues about which Indians are judgmental about. May not be exclusive to Indians, but I feel Indians should stop being judgmental about these things.A girl and a boy are seen walking together or having a meal together. People imagine only one possible scenario. Indians are judgmental about concepts like live-in relationships, divorce.People following liberal arts or any other off-beat career options.A lot of stereotypes involved in gender discrimination. That also involves failure to recognize that men could be victims at times and the slut shamming that happens when a girl is more outgoing. I would like to see this country progress towards a liberal society which is accommodative of choice (limits include not harming others or others' right to make a choice) without being judgmental.
Why are people in India always judgmental about girls?
To say that people arenn't judgemental of girls in India would be false because no matter how much we are uphold the idea of equality, our prejudiced thinking gets the better of us. The question could pertain to several scenarios where women are judged in our society but the most pertinent is the issue of how girls carry themselves out in the public and how men perceive it is important according to me.So, here is something I believe to be the reason for this narrow mindedness of our men. People in western countries especially the males are used to watching their mother, sisters, auntss, friends and girlfriends dress up in much the same way while in India the situation is completely opposite. Indian men, well most of us, have seen our mother, sisters and aunts in sarees, suits or at most jeans and top . Now, when a guy finds a girl wearing somewhat revealing clothes, they take second look sometimes. But, this is mostly not an outcome of the pervertness or lack of decency in a guy, rather a result of the girl standing in contrast to his usual picture of women in his head. Thino of it this way, if a man is walking on a busy street in just his undergarments, most people ( men and women) would probably steal a second look and laugh or pity at his situation not out of pervertness or lack of conscience rather the 'stand out' he features. That's what I think.
Why are Pakistani and Indian girls teases?
Assalaamu Alaykum, Sadly brother... What u said... It IS true. The teasing stuff, I was wondering about it a while ago, I'm always the odd one out in teasing, never learned how to do it and hate when others do it, though they tease cousins in the family, still they are non meharams. I love Prophet(s.a.w) and his sunnah more than any human being in this world, Alhamduillah. "I'm tired of the ones that just avoid alcohol and smoking, claiming that's "pious" enough.." I don't even have words to express how true that is !!! Its heart breaking to see many young muslims especially brothers who neglect salah !! And I see woman all around me who wears hijab but then manage to display their accessories as well, it is a inbuilt skill. What can be done? I try my best to warn (Alhamduillah my friends aren't one of those ppl) and the rest, nothing can be done without proper education in Islam. In India, so much care is given towards education (in an average middle class or upper class family) but what they fail is to understand the importance of the deen and how we all lack in practising it. I hope parents provide good sound Islamic education, instead of caring whether their son or daughter made it to the most renowned university in the state, Insha'Allah.
Why do I find Indian girls to be increasingly rude and certainly not down to earth?
May be that waiter had earlier misbehaved with girl,,may be the waiter thinks women are stupid and the worst they can do is shout a d he deliberately did that to irritate her.You seriously have no idea how rude and bad these men behave with girls just because of the gender.In India being a man you can do away with even slapping a waiter if he misbehaves however if its girl and some guy misbehaved with her even she just shouted at them,it would become a news headline.Come out of your stupid judgmental poky nose ways.How well do you know the girl or the waiter to act like a judge there.Since I live alone and am a girl I know how hard it is for Indian women living alone or moving outside alone. How this patriarchal mindset makes people act in a discriminating way.Theres this new breed of misogynistic men out here in Indian who act like massiahs of oppressed and poor but in reality are motivated by their hate towards women.The male ego takes a hit when a girl or women tries to defy what the say and some men make it their lifes mission to make girls learn a lesson.I once I had a tiff with my building security guard because he used too switch off my electric meter and water and said something offensive to me.He used to do that just because I was a girl living alone and nothing I could do apart from just shouting, nobody listens to a girl living alone .Now while I was having a word with gaurd theres this man coming out of nowhere not even knowing what the issue was about Started accusing me of being a rude Indian woman and not respecting gaurd because he's poor.Seriously I was shocked at that,cmon you don't know me or my issue and you just want to act like a poor man's saviour.So I would say it's better to mind your own business and not judge others when you just know a part of story. Also people infood industry are trained to make it a good experience for the customer.Most Indian restaurants don't really follow that.
Why are Indians, half settled abroad, judgmental towards people in India?
We criticise ourselves. Never encourage others, Racism is everywhere. caste, region, religion is given priority than good/talented one. We have a tradition of feling jelous of one’s seeing progressing, supiriority n inferiority issues. I have many colleagues in my bachelors who are suffering form these deadly disease. Do you think that indian girls generally have more feminine features than black girls?
I'm white and I think Indian girls are generally prettier. I don't agree with the way you put out the question but most of the things you said are true. As a photographer, I spent 6 months in India and was overwhelmed by the breathtakingly beautiful girls from Punjab all the way to Karnataka. What I noticed about them was that almost all of them had beautiful eyes and glorious smiles despite their conditions, and a good deal of them had amazing colored eyes which looks stunning against their golden skin. Really exotic. Indians girls are more feminine - true because they have clear gender roles in their society, and women are expected to behave more submissive and act non-confrontational in the presence of men. The white men who are saying they would pick a black girl over an Indian girl are lying to themselves and playing PC, or are trolls. Indian girls have much better morals and are more conservative. When was the last time you saw an Indian girl on Jerry Springer or pregnant by 6 different men and on welfare? Never. They have more self-respect.
