No but I tend to lose respect for the person, because the Bible is just there to get you talking to God.That's the important part and if you've got your nose so firmly in a book that individual words matter, you're not paying attention to the message.The Quran has to be read carefully as well, I have one at home, and it makes the Old Testament look like, well, the New Testament. Do atheists feel offended when religious people believe you are going to hell? Is it not implicit that you are of less worth?
Not at all. There are two possibilities -The most likely (almost certain) one is that there is no God or hell, given that in 1000s of years we haven't managed to find a single shred of credible evidence regarding the same.And if there is a God, I give him/her/it far more credit than religious people. If God is an all knowing, all powerful, omni potent being, then me living a good life and being a good person will be something he/she/it would appreciate. If there is a God, he will almost certainly thank me for living a mostly moral, decent life and trying to do good in the world. I am certain he/she/it won't be mad because I didn't go to temple or a mosque or a church or that I didn't read a particular book. I ain't going to hell even if there is one.EDIT: Oh and btw, there are plenty of real things to be scared of and offended by that this hell tripe :)
Why do Muslims get really angry when somebody draws a picture of Muhammad, but not when somebody uses Allah to justify terrorism?
Drawing pictures of a living being man or animal is considered abhorrent in Islam.Drawing picture of Prophet is considered a direct insult to the Lord of Mankind. Why?Because of belief that it is ONLY The Lord of Mankind that gives shapes, forms to living beings and drawing pictures as such is considered mocking Him.1400 AD... 2016 AD ... 2567 AD .... This isn't going to change.Now to terrorism, who or what exactly told you that we aren't hurt when people or organizations misuses the name of Allah to justify crime?I personally know of many rallies and processions that are still being held in my city, both by Shia'a and Sunni sects. But then...Media doesn't cover it as good as they cover the news of ISIS bombing certain school or hospital. Obviously gives impression that Muslim community is silent, while it's not!Secondly, Muslims have no single stage or "mouthpiece" where the entire community can echo it's sentiments at once. As a Muslim, do you get offended if someone eats pork in front of you?
BIG NO.Not all my family and friends are Muslim. There are several of them who believe in Buddhism, Catholicism, or Protestant Christianity.This month, I visited my grandma, aunt, and uncle who believe in Buddhism for 3D2N holiday.My aunt and uncle asked me to go with them to the market, there they were buying many things Fish, Vegetables, Flowers, Milks, and Bakpao (Chinese steamed bun). There are many variation of Bakpao, originally one is Pork, but in Indonesia as most of citizens are Muslims, the modifies made. There are Bakpao filling with diced chicken, minced beef, mung bean, red bean, and chocolate.They bought pork Bakpao for them and my grandma, and also bought mung bean Bakpao for me. It’s totally fine for them to eat it in front of me as long as they don’t ask me to eat it together :D(Below is the picture that represented Bakpao, although it’s not mine)source: pergikuliner.comThe same as my co-workes and friends who ever eat it in front of me.Why does it offended you if they do their activities?It’s the same as you are eating beef or chicken in front of vegetarian people. Yo man, its a lot more than 0.1%...but look at it this way, ur family just died in a war, won't u go crazy and spaz at the Jewish Zionists, or the Americans, and that is what the Media sees....If ur whole family died right now by some Muslims, ur not gona come out and be as nice as you are, no ur gona curse us from what has happend to you...This is NOT alwaysthe case, some Muslims have really strong Iman (faith), and pray to god for help, but this kind of iman is hard to get...U see where i'm comin from...See if all the people asked questions the way u did, u think anyone would get mad? I offended this muslim girl next door, and she's challenging me to wrestle her?
I have this girl who lives next door to me who's muslim and I guess apparently I said something offensive about islam that she over heard me say when I was with some buddies talking about religion. She walked up to me in my front yard the other day and challenged me to submission wrestle with her, over the comment. She was pretty pissed, and swearing at me. She doesn't look too strong though. She's about 5'8" and 125-130 lbs. I guess according to one of my other neighbors she does have some wrestling background. They said shes autistic but good. But this was so priceless I decided to go along with this, so I said I'd accept her challenge and wrestle her, lol. We agreed to wear less restrictive clothing when wrestle, so it would be more "fair" according to her. So she plans on wearing a spandex shorts when we wrestle, which ought to be a little interesting and bizzare.... She also said she would be blasting shakira's song "ojos asi" while were wrestling. How do you think that would even help her? But what I want to ask is .. what does she intend to prove by doing this? Does she want to try to humilate me or something since I'm a guy? Is this typical of muslim women to do this?? I need some muslim insight here, please.
Why are Muslims so quick to anger and accusation?
I think that is due to the fact that most Muslims are in denial It is like someone bringing out skeletons that are in your fathers closet. It is something that you just do not want to hear. Most Muslims are also brought up in countries were freedom of speech is denied. They must learn that criticisms is how the truth comes out. It opens up debates. If we are wrong we become educated. If they are wrong they become educated. That is why no one who is 100% sure of his/her convictions should fear any criticism.
Why do atheists get so offended by people who have faith?
The answer to this question can be found by taking the point of view of an atheist. Imagine you don't believe in God. I'm pretty sure it's not a sin to imagine this but it appears to be a very difficult for Christians to deal with as evidenced by numerous questions directed at atheists that reveal a comprehensive lack of understanding of the atheist position. So let's take another example. You don't believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster do you? Why not? To cut a long story short, it's fatuous, ridiculous, completely made up bullpucker. Someone claiming to believe in the FSM could be anything from a harmless troll, to naively obedient, or frighteningly stupid. So this is what belief in gods looks like to people who do not believe. At best it's a harmless folly and at worst it's caused the deaths of millions. Using belief in the absurd to justify any action at all just seems utterly crazy to those who do not believe. I'm sure you can use the FSM analogy to imagine how completely silly the religious appear to atheists.
Why are Muslims so thin skinned ? ?
Everything constantly offends Muslims. If YOU choose to eat bacon, they're offended. I wish some company would grow a set and just tell them to STFU and be offended.
Why do people judge me because of my religion?
Many times it is because they do not share the same beliefs and they find it so irrational that they feel compelled to degrade, insult, criticize, and offend you. Why? Well I believe it is mainly due to their environment and worldview. You can learn a lot from someones worldview and if they are following it or going against it. For Christians at least, if someone that claims to be a christian is making fun of you and calling your belief completely stupid and you are a fool for following such a ridiculous belief, then it is very easy to call them out and see that they are in fact acting in violation of what Christ says.However, if you are an Atheist then you can either insult, degrade, or and offend that person or you can act respectfully and mature - like several atheist users on Quora. The fact is, they claim to have several “rules” that are inherently good such as the golden rule and other secular laws like murder and stealing. For them, it is a matter of personality because if you search deeper into their worldview dealing with the origin, meaning, morality, and destiny, they believe that you are just strictly material with no reason for your existence other than being just DNA Propagators, a bit of cosmic pollution, and completely irrelevant therefore their morality must meet that criteria as well. I have met many atheists who say they use the golden rule, “treat others the way you want to be treated”, yet they insult and wish terrible things to happen to me.What comforts me knowing why someone does these incredibly rude things is because they are just following their worldview or they are acting in violation of their worldview. When Christians call me names and such, I know they are acting in violation of Christ’s law and either I make them realize that they are or just let destiny take its course. My final point is that if I am offended when someone criticizes my faith then that faith is not worth believing in.
