Why Do My Pipes Make Noise When I Flush The Tolite

Why do my pipes howl after I flush my toilet?

the ball valve in your cysten is vibrating usually caused by high water pressure.Take lid off and hold ball arm whilst flushing if noise stops lower pressure or replace ball valve assembly, very cheap, any plumbers ,B&Q etc

I have a toilet on the 2nd floor, and when I flush it, the drain piple makes a ratlling noise. Any ideas?

There are two systems on drain lines - Material matter (water, sewage) transfer, and an air system. When you flush a toilet, drain your bathtub, release water from the sink, the out going matter creates a vacuum pulling air from the backside of the flowing matter. That is way some sinks gurgle when water is released from the sink. When you flush your toilet the same thing can happen. Therefore, the vacuum in the line creates a vibration from the pipe. Otherwise there is no other reason for there to be any noise if things was flowing properly. Good luck.

After my toilet is flushed it makes a a noise like a ship's horn. What can I do to stop this?

A few seconds after it's finished flushing, the noise starts. It sounds like a ship's horn blowing. I can hear it through the wall in the adjoining room. I opened the valve to let more water in, but that hasn't solved the problem. What can I do to stop this from happening? What's causing it?

Why is the toilet making bubbles after being flushed?

It is highly likely you have a blockage, generally things like toys or obstructions such as tree roots will give you a bubbling sound. Excess toilet paper will not do this, to add, a collapsed or partially collapsed pipe will do this as well.Hope his helps and good luck

Why do I constantly hear flushing in my water pipe?

Noisy pipes can be caused by several factors. May be your’s can be because one of the following reason:Loose PipesAnother cause of plumbing noise is a loose pipe under the house. Drain pipes are usually suspended from the floor joints under the house and a little stabilization may be all that is needed.Worn Out WasherWhistling or squealing in pipes is often caused by a worn out washer in a faucet or valve. A common source of this squealing is in the valves that connect to the washing machine. Replace if they look worn or cracked. If that isn't it, shut off the house water and repair the faucet.ToiletsYet another noise problem can come from the toilet. If, after flushing, you hear a banging or rattling at the end of the fill cycle, then it is likely that the ballcock assembly, which controls the fill process, is worn. You need to replace it with a better one.If you are unable to find the reason behind this, then you need to contact the professional plumber.

When i flush my toilet, I hear a banging noise as soon as I release the handle?

it sounds like you have a loose plumbing line. it needs to be strapped down. but also maybe you need a new fill valve. I would buy a new fill valve. you can get one for about $8 install it and see if that helps. if not get ready to look for loose pipes

My pipes rattle every time I turn on water or flush toilet, what is happening? Makes loud noise while doing so?

Sounds like a water hammer issue. I can't remember my A-Level physics too well but it was to do with the sudden compression of the water near some obstruction or valve in your plumbing that causes it to propagate a vibration wave up and down a section of the plumbing system. As some users said before, air is a factor that can cause the sudden compression of the water. When a tap is turned on and air is in the system, when the water starts to flow, it compresses the air suddenly which causes a jerk in the flow and thus the hammer effect. Essentially there are a couple of things that could be done:

1) Install a larger supply pipe for the water tank fill assembly (if there is large flow in a small pipe the water hammer is more likely to occur.

2) Install a mechanical water hammer damper (check hardware shop)

3) Install a water hammer chamber near the valve you are opening (may need a plumber)

In any event I would recommend that you go to a local plumbing supplies store or local hardware and tell them about your water hammer problem and ask what you could do to eliminate it. They may ask you some questions like what the diameter of the pipe is, what material, where is the plumbing for etc. Be ready to answer these questions.
