Why Do My Post Come To My Husbands Adress

How can you prevent junk mail addressed to someone who has never lived in your house (like your husbands ex-wife's ex-husband)? I have a client who gets mail addressed to her childhood abuser and he's never lived in her home.

Simple. Contact the post office and tell them that the individual does not nor has ever lived at that address and they're not to deliver any mail addressed to this individual there.Further, with any mail that may show up, write clearly on the envelope Return to Sender Addressee Does Not Live Here and pop it in the post box. Also look up the sender on the internet and call them as well and tell them the same thing, and insist that they remove the name from their mailing list, not just cross it out, but do it in their system.Eventually they will no longer receive mail for this person. When you say client, are you an attorney? If you are, then you should know this.

My soon to be ex husband keeps changing my mailing address b/c we still have the same last name...?

Go to the post office, they can help you

Why does my husband have a PO Box?

I know of two husbands who had P.O. Boxes without their wives' knowledge. Both were using it to get credit card bills sent to it. Bills that were gambling related. The credit cards were in their wives' names too because they already damaged their own credit. I strongly recommend getting a free credit report and checking the balances on each card. Try to get a hold of one for his credit cards too. You need to find out fast, because this sort of thing usually gets ugly. Husbands who hide P.O. Boxes from their wives are up to no good. You have every right as a wife to get to the bottom of all this. Sadly one couple is already divorced and the other one is teetering on the edge of it.

If you get a PO Box does USPS send anything to your home address of record?

That will entirely depend on how you choose to have your mail delivered. If you want all of your mail to go to your post office box only, then you will need to fill out a change of address form. If, like several of my customers, you run a business from your home and want your personal mail to go to your home and your business mail to go to your post office box, then it will be up to you to notify others which address to use. Be aware, though, that you cannot do an individual change of address out of that post office box being used as a business address. I had a situation, years ago, where the chief of police used the police departments PO Box as his personal mailing address. When he ended up being fired by the village government, the Mayor, as the current owner of the box, requested that the lock be changed on the PO Box, and the former employee no longer had access to his own mail. As the box was a business address he could not file a change of address order for his individual mail. This holds true for street delivery as well. Individual changes can not be made from business addresses so I always recommend that people use a PO Box for their business address. That is why I always tell people never to have mom or dad’s mail sent to a nursing home but to have it go to whichever child the parent chooses to receive it. You will be at the mercy of said nursing home to hand forward to you any important mail you may need to close out their estate when they pass away.

Which address should I use, my mom's home address or my husband's home address?

Some context would help here !If you’re dealing with a government department, use your own, likewise if you’re going to get billed for something. In fact, unless there’s a good reason for not doing so, use your own for everything. A post office box may be a viable alternative for you - I’ve used them in the past and it removes the incidence of stolen mail (which was a problem where I lived for a while).YMMV as they say :)

Can anyone please tell me why my husbands ex wife gets mail at our address?

my husband has beed divorced for 5yrs and his exwife never lived at this address, she does not even live in the same town as us.about 4 or 5 times a month we get her mail(mostly junk mail) but why?my worry is my husband in his haste to get away from his crazy ex "overlooked/forgot something" like take her name of something of his.or worse yet she has his name on something of hers.is there anyway we can find out why we keep getting her mail?shes very nasty so asking her is out we would not get a truthful anwser.also my husband still gets mail once in a while addressed to him and her together.why after 5yrs is this still happening?i know this is a minor thing but i'm just fearful there maybe a bigger problem we dont know about

How can I get into my husbands yahoo account to get email addresses of friends to let them know he passed away

I cannot remember or don't know my husbands passwords or answers to secret questions and I need to get email addresses that are on his account. I need to let friends know that he has passed on so that they can contact me for the funeral arrangements.

Can my future ex-husband just throw away my mail?

If you go to the post office and complete a "change of address" packet, anything addressed to your name going to that address will automatically go to your new address. This enables you to still get your mail with no interruptions while you find time to contact everyone who sends you mail to update them. You can even do this "change of address" procedure online. I'm providing a link in the source. I would suggest to do that immediately. It will take up to a week to go into affect.

As far as your husband getting in trouble for tossing your mail, file a report against him with the USPS Postal Inspector by calling the hotline at 1-888-877-7644. USPS will then take appropriate action. If you have incurred late fees, etc due to him disposing of your mail, have USPS to send you a confirmation of the complaint so you can show to your creditors to get your fees waived.

Why does my ex-wife get mail in my name at her new address?

It could be when she filled out a change of address form, she put a last name but didn't fill out a specific first name. If you don't put in one first name and check individual it will forward everyones mail with that last name. if the mail is direct addressed and not forwarded, it just means that the companies requested the address change directly from the post office.
It doesn't mean that she has done anything or is planning on doing anything sneaky.

I had the same problem when I moved to Alabama from Ohio. My father in law lived with us in Ohio and when we moved I filled out the change of address for family and we have been getting mail for him for the last 4 years now at 3 different addresses in Alabama and he has never left Ohio. It sucks.. but what can you do?

If you and your ex are pleasant just ask her to either give you the mail, or mark "Not this address, Return to sender" on everything she receives for you.
