What can we do to improve the Indian education system? How can a possible solution be brought to the government’s attention?

**Education in India** is provided by the public sector as well as the private sector , with control and funding coming from three levels: central , state and local . Under various articles of the Indian Constitution, free and compulsory education is provided as a fundamental right to children between the ages of 6 and 14. The ratio of public schools to private schools in India is 7:5.We have a large population where entrance exam based higher education is quite popular but worst thing we have is that no personal choice is available even if you get selected in JEE ENTRANCE exam for any IIT because everything is dependent on rank and students are forced to take branches as per their rank. We have seen movies like “3 IDIOTS” and appreciated a lot but sadly we have nothing beyond appreciation.Almost 6 months back i was having similar itching in my brain about our education system and i was searching google and instantly my eyes glittered by seeing a startup Rankethon on facebook that was running innovation in learning program in different schools and colleges with real life implementation of practical world. I applied for internship in the startup and got to know they are ground to earth team with huge stretch on practical innovation on the basis of interest.Rankethon changed my life a lot as from there only i got enough hope to pursue my dreams as per my interest and the robotics automation field became my key interest. I have even never imagined that something like Rankethon will be started in such a dirty market of India where everyone is running crap schools/colleges/institutes for money purpose only as everyone promises a lot but real picture use to be disgusting. These type of organizations needs to be boosted and supported even i say other startups should also start from the same concept by establishing strong base, as this is the only way Indian education system can be reformed in a manner which can do over all development of the nation.Indian government should understand such startup and support them to enrich the Indian education system with innovations

Is it appropriate to regard bebop as the beginning of “modern jazz”? What are musical and sociological factors?

Music historians are generally divided on the subject of "modern jazz". I am of the school that modern jazz began post 1945 - essentially the beginning of bop.

There are little recordings available from 1942-1944, due to a strike in the musicians union - or something like that. It is likely that if that had not of happened the transition from swing to bop would not have been as shocking.

Swing music (capital S), is the genre of popular music during the 1930's mostly, this was the amount of time it essentially took the rest of the musical world to adopt the ideas of Louis Armstrong and his rhythmic ideas.

Bop emmerged from young, black, talented jazz musicans who were frustrated with the politics of the music industry, and of the world in general. In the swing era there were plenty of black musicans and writers who were talented, however they were not the ones with the biggest paychecks, they were essentially being taken advantage of by the industry as a whole.

Monk and Gillespie (could be wrong about the artists, but the point remains the same either way), conversed about making the music so technically difficult as to not allow anyone to copy it.

Bebop pushed the thought of jazz as an 'elitist music', they were no longer in the music for the money, but for the craft itself.

This differs extremely from the Swing era, which was, as much as anything, a money making endeavor. This is of course in context of the times. Today Swing music, is most certainly an elitist music.

Swing music lacks the spontaneous nature of Bop. Angular, fast melodies, not really singable, as is in the swing era were common in Bop. There were also grand leaps in the development of harmony and soloing, using mostly large extensions of chords in bop. Smaller groups are also a general difference between the two.

Listen to Parker's Koko and then listen to Count Basie's version of Cherokee. Try and identify which one is swing, and which one is Bop by sound alone. You should be able to tell the difference definitively.

How do non-Muslims feel about azaan on loudspeakers at 5AM?

I am an atheist but still I have to listen Azaan from a mosque and Prayers (Morning Aarti) from a Hindu temple. My Home in Delhi is 100 meter away from a Temple and around 150 meter away from a Mosque.Every morning at 4 AM Azaan starts from Mosque and After 1 hour, around 5 AM, Temple Aarti (Hindu praying) starts. As an atheist/lazy/not so early morning person i was forced to listen both of them, But in-last 15 years my body is used to these things, but it does feel annoying sometimes. When Sonu Nigam raised a question about azaan in the morning i was completely in support of him. Why should we listen to everything that we don’t need? Maybe language of the Tweet bothers many Muslims but i think normal people like me will completely agree with him.Instead of finding solutions we often jump onto the conclusion. Oh!! he is Anti-Muslim, He wants to join politics, Bollywood is not giving him many singing opportunities that’s why he is frustrated. Oh come on…… He doesn’t need sympathy of Bollywood he can earn enough by singing on live shows.I think one should ask these question time to time and we as a society should try to find a solution instead of making them national news or Hindu vs Muslims debate. The problem with our society is that we don’t want to dive into the core issue.“Arrey bhai…… Bhavnao ko samjho” (try to understand his emotions).Solutions are also there but i know nobody wants to listen to them.Solution 1:We can make radio stations for local community with frequency like 90.9 for Azaan and 90.8 for morning prayers, 91.0 for Gurubani and 91.2 for Church prayers. If anyone wants to listen to Azaan/gurubani/Aarti then switch on the radio, tune into particular frequency and listen it, enjoy and switch off the radio after you’re done with prayers.I will add more solutions in future, you can also suggest some solutions in comments.Solution 2: (Suggested by Sumanth Madambadithaya)Make an Android or iOS App which will have Live Azaan, Live Aarti or Live Gurubani. Your can search for your nearest Mosque/Temple/Church/Gurudwara. (Limitation: it will need smartphone and internet connectivity).
