How can people claim that poverty causes obesity?

I often hear people claiming that poverty causes obesity because people don't have money for healthy foods and gym memberships..

However, in many cultures being fat means that you are a wealthy person! It makes sense! If you have money to eat at McDonald's everyday then you aren't poor! If you have money to drink soda everyday instead of homemade water then you aren't poor! If poverty indeed causes poverty then homeless people would be obese! But that's not the case!

Also, you don't need a gym membership! You can run around your neighborhood! You can do all kind of bodyweight exercises such as push ups, pull ups, lunges, etc..

So why do many people claim that poverty causes obesity?

How high should i pull up my pants? Please answer!!!?

Well im 15, and needless to say, i am pretty obese. Im 5'6 and weigh 185 lbs. (normal is like 145) Ive been noticing that as i gain weight, my stomach hangs lower and lower. I see overweight people walking around all the time with thier pants pulled over thier bulging stomachs, but they usually have creses at the point where they pull thier pants up to. Should i do this? Is this Normal?

I guess it just depends on what rides or roller coasters, u can try going on Iron Dragon and see how u feel with the pull down over your head bars, and there's plenty of room in those trains.... and u don't have to ride with other people (on most rides and coasters) u can go as a single rider if that gives u more room, if u don't like the pull down bars u can try going on Blue Streak and see how u feel about the seat belt and lap bar....... u can never know for sure unless u try it :) good luck, Cedar Point is soo awesome
