Why Do Pc Fanboys Always Showoff

Why is it that I always want to show off my vanity? Even though at the end of the day it doesn't feel good for me, how can I avoid this and feel contented not expressing and remaining calm?

It seems to me that you want to be more humble and have less pride. This is a challenging task, but it is definitely worth doing. Perhaps it would be helpful to reflect at the end of the day about mistakes you made. If you regularly look back on things you have done wrong, it can give you a more realistic picture of yourself. Think about good things you do each day too. Don't beat yourself up in the name of becoming humble. Another Quoran suggested writing a journal. Journaling is a great practice for reflection.

Why do people always want to show off themselves?

Growing up through childhood people are generally supposed to experience certain things in order to better function as an individual. If their parents (or whoever is raising them) physically harm them they tend to become bullies and feel negatively about other individuals. This scenario can happen in a number of different way. Being pampered/coddled/babied, emotional abuse, emotional neglect, etc. The case we are talking about now, pertaining to your question, is lack of attention.Without proper attention from a parental figure people naturally seek attention from others. This can come in the form of appearance (how they dress i.e. a total skank), being obnoxiously loud, purposely antagonizing someone, and gloating. When talking about yourself, whether it be accomplishments or characteristics, you're often seeking or at least hoping for a positive comment to come from such discussion. Now this isn't always a horrible, horrible thing, it feels good to have someone admire or congratulate you on something you've accomplished. Where this behavior becomes a problem is when it occurs repeatedly, uncontrollably, and puts others down or attempts to outdo any number of individuals. When it turns to that it is no longer simply and innocently seeking praise, admiration, or a compliment. Instead it transforms into full blown narcissism.

Why do I have an urge to show off?

You are looking for recognition. Lots of young people, particularly feel the urge to ‘show off’, and it is often directly related to wanting to be part of the pack, the social circle, the team, and general recognition. Most people do not enjoy singular lives. People tend to be gregarious, and it suits them to interact in groups, and so, it helps to fit in at certain levels of public/group engagement. And, people are definitely social animals. They see themselves as most effective in a social setting. This does not hold true for everyone, however. Lots of people like to be on their own, and are happy to be loners. Those are probably exceptions.

Why are Bose fanboys so difficult?

Bill, I appreciate your answer and opinion on freedom of choice...
Which yes, one should feel free to choose - eat, drive what they want.

But my question is not answered by your question.
You still have not answered my question:
"Can they comprehend that they've wasted lots of $$ on their Bose investments? - and now they have to defend the Bose brand in order to defent their purchases??"

Lemme rephrase it, since you seem to be one of them:
Why do "bosophiles" - seem to stray away from the facts: when put to the question about Bose products? - Like instead of focussing on the fact that Bose products are overpriced, lack audio accuracy, and cheaply made - comparing to its competitors in the same price range. - stray - and state stuff like "well who cares about the facts - it sounds good to me... and i have choice - so you can't say anything bad about Bose- they are in ferraris, and Sistine Chapel- SO IT MUST BE GOOD!"
They sell lots: just like Mcdonalds...

What is the mindset of people who constantly show off in social media like?

Good question in light of how much bragging or showing off we see. I’m referring to Facebook, as this is the most popular social media site, where it seems bragging has become increasingly the norm. Some Of what could be perceived as showing off , I think, is really just wanting to share positive and uplifting news, and our real friends are happy for the shares. Examples of this might be flattering photo updates, sharing about about getting a new job, or a promotion, pictures of vacations, and are occasional, not every day type posts. The constant show off, who tends to brag in some fashion every post and often every day and sometimes all day long, is most likely insecure and often isolated, lonely, and doesn’t have many real life friends. They want to portray a great life and want to rack up as many “likes” as they can as this gives them a rush and falsely validates that people like them, that they really like them. Some of the more common posts for show offs are frequent selfies, photos of their perfect homemade meals and pictures of their highly prized new possessions and photos of their perfect relationship. Many on their friendlist feed into this and give these show offs obligatory likes which feeds and perpetuates their false self media star image. And so show offs will spend even more time on Social Media and I think in their addiction their virtual world , they tend to to forget it’s not real life.Their mindset is neediness and wanting to be liked by garnishing as many likes as possible, so they be a rockstar. Most of them, however, are clueless to how annoying they come off, but probably couldn’t care less if they do now. Because they are so needy, it’s all about them, and their interaction with others in their circle is not reciprocal. No need to be bothered by these types. Simply click on “do not follow” unfriend them, or better yet limit yourself on this type of social media as it often is a time- suck anyway.

What's the psychology behind the need to show-off?

This is a good question.  Recent theories suggest showing off is highly adaptive.  Individuals who have the strength, skill, and resources to be able to take "extravagant" risks - truly sacrificing valuable resources, and putting themselves in real personal danger - are advertising themselves as good breeding material.  Their offspring are likely to be rich, powerful, clever, show-offs.The idea is that, in species that are social, the females select the males they will allow to fertilize their eggs based on criteria that are unrelated to how good the males will be at parenting, but strongly related to how good their male offspring will be at winning access to the next generation of females (or any generation, really).    So the show-off, death-defying, extravagant, rich, powerful males get to fertilize many females' eggs, as soon as they become mature (sexually).  Then those males die soon, for obvious reasons.  Then other males come along and get selected by the females to help with the parenting, and also get access to the female once in a while.  Mathematically this is a great strategy for the species to thrive.Of course I am talking about species other than humans.  Mainly.

What's better, an xbox360 or a ps3? thanx!?

I would have to say ps3, in my opinion. Technically it is flawless, it trumps the 360 with its processors, and the graphics card and ram are better, contrary to what people believe. more space =\= better, it is the speed it can be accessed, what it supports, etc. Plus the core supports progressive texturing which is what the director at sony meant when he talked about making the jump into "4d".

Media-wise, also flawless, Blu-ray discs fit over 5 times dual layer dvds, and games are using more and more data all the time. Some games out for the ps3 couldnt be on the 360 without multiple discs. One of the most notable is MGS4 which is coming June 12. The ps3 comes standard with everything you need, the only thing I can think of that has to be bought is an hdmi cable. But no money for extras to hook up the internet, etc like the 360 does. It has built in wifi that can connect to your wireless router, or you can connect via ethernet cable. The list goes on really.

Games. Obviously, the 360 has more games out, being released a year earlier, but this year is going great for the ps3. The upcoming exclusives and the already existing ones, for the most part, show off the ps3 really nicely. It comes down to game preference really, but similar games are on each platform. Resistance: Fall of Man, or Halo 3? Depends which console. PS3 definitely has more to offer long term, and keep you satisfied now without compromising quality. It really does depend on what you prefer in games, but if you want console longeivity and more exclusives in the future than 360, then ps3 is better in that.

Online: Of course the 360 wins, but at $50 a year. So really, do you want free online, or better (maybe much better, or slightly depending how much you like online), for $50 a year? It's the players choice.

Gee that was a long answer, and good luck with picking out of the 2, that is, if its what youre doing. Hope it helped
