Yes, there is a difference. A receptionist,you would noramlly find in a hotel desk or a office- jobs would include answering phones to filing paperwork. A hostess is normally found in a resturaunt, her job is to seat customers and take the money to register and back to the customer if the servers or wai staff are too overwelmed, you would normally see them standing behind a podium as you enter the resturant, in some instances, you can find them in hotels (5 Star, 1 grand per night hotels) they have the task of seeing guest to their rooms and showing them the room amemities. The Concierge normally works at a hotel or apartment/condo. They have the task of carrying luggage to the guests rooms and delivering messages to the guest, they sometimes even make travel arrangements for departing guest. Hope this helps.
