How much dumber do people look when they use the word "dat" instead of "that" in a sentence?

Very much. It looks like not only are they stupid, they're also lazy. It doesn't take much more to add the extra letter. No one says "dat" when they speak. Why do they use it when they write? At least, no intelligent person does.

Why do people not look to the words of God for help?

A question to do with faith rather than fact, like this, has no correct answer. Any answer I give, or that anyone may give, will be correct based on the faith of the person who answers it. It is really pointless to answer it because any answer can only be an opinion, and the only answer that will be acceptable to another is an answer that conforms to their own faith or beliefs. So, My answer is : Please clarify the question with some facts that I can look at to use to formulate an intelligent reply, i.e. : 1. The definition of ‘God’ and the evidence that this entity exists; 2. What specific words you are referring to and evidence that they were uttered by this ‘God.’ and 3. The results of a survey done to determine what percentage of the population relies on these words for help. Then a factual answer might be possible.

Why do people misspell words on purpose?

Example: Y cant pplz stay out of my buisses! if i make a mistake den ill make 1! jst stay out of my life! i can ddo it! past high skul & go 2 collage! wat is my life is my life! argh!! i jst wish dey stop tratin me like a sin damn 5 years all gurl!! you stupid pityful humans! you are just stupid humans!!

That was one of my friends status's on facebook. I currently deleted her as a friend since I just couldn't take reading that anymore. She's 17 too. I seriously don't even know what to do with myself right now. Do people misspell on purpose because they think it's cool? If they do, that is just stupid & absurd.

Why do most people see the world in black & white?

People see other people as Black and White out of fear of difference. People who talk to and listen to others who are different to them learn things. Learning things relieves fear and you become less innocent and less ignorant. Not talking to people because they look more athletic than you, are in a wheelchair, wear a turban or have freckles and just talking to people like yourself enables fear of others to continue indefinately.Only being exposed to those that think like you often leads to a fear of change and less logical thinking. If you are afraid you have a choice. Grow up and face the fear or be anxious and make a lot of noise about your way is the best and therefore only way to be.Fortunately much of the world is curious and those people listen to the voices and needs of others. This greatly helps them to be less fearful and anxious. The remainder will not compromise. They just get more loud and aggressively take a stubborn stand when their bigotry is challenged in the hope of solving problems. To them there is Right and Wrong and nothing in between with enemies lurking everywhere. No negotiation space. This to me is seeing the world in Black and White. Only Americans would interpret people as being either black or white. No.Australians indigenous people often have white skin. Do not argue that our people issues are a cookie cutter of American social conflicts.

Is "look-it" a word or proper English?

No.

What word best describes people who try to make themselves look good by putting others down?

Hurt.Of course it’s easy to label such people as simply Narcissistic, Bullies, Sociopaths, Insecure and so on, but doing that ignores the struggles those people are going through.People that try to make themselves look good by putting others down do this for the same reason we all do things: To be happy.I know this sounds backwards but this is how they learned to be happy. They may have modeled their parents, may have not found happiness in anything until they put others down, or maybe had to fight for their happiness so long that this seemed like a natural thing for them to do.But this gains them happiness, confidence, self-worth and love. When they get to put others down these people feel better themselves, speaking for a lack inside of them that they do not know how else to fill.If you go around labeling those people as Sociopaths you will look at them in disdain, furthering their reason to keep pushing others down. The best way to counter this is to smile at them, love them through their hate and give them what they are not getting anywhere else.“Those who are hardest to love need it the most.” - SocratesOf course you will find that person that truly has a lesion in their brain that causes them to act this way, but that’s rather rare. Most people that put others down have had a hard time gaining love, acceptance and happiness and are not doing this because they want to, but because they do not know any other way.Putting those people down in turn by fighting their fire with fire will only result in them becoming more sure of their approach.
