Why Do People Often Like

"People often say they would like to have more money, but what they usually mean is that they would like to ha

It has to do with level of prices (inflation). Let's say that my income is 1,000 dollars and the basket of goods I usually consume costs 1,000 dollars (so, I can one basket). If I have 2,000 dollars and, at the same time, the cost of basket gets to 2,000 dollars as well, then, I surely have more money, but I cannot consume more goods.

So, the thing is not to have more money, but how many goods my money can buy. That's why my income has to do with inflation.

I hope this helps

Why do people often want a better home?

People tend to like nicer things than they have. But the primary reason for wanting a better home is to have more space.

Why do people often talk about the weather?

It is an easy, innocuous topic that is unlikely to offend anyone.   So, its a safe way of reaching out to someone and starting to connect...like tossing them a line.  It can be just a way of saying hi, or it can let you "test the waters" and see if they are open to a conversation.   Maybe the other person will toss back another conversational line, that you can build on and get a conversation going( "I am hoping to get some running in while the weather is nice"  Oh, you are a runner?  I stick to yoga"...etc., etc.)

Do people often guess your age wrong?

Do they often think your younger than you really are? I hate it when people do that. And do you often find that it's older people that guess your age wrong?

Why do people tend to like good looking people?

A Scientific Explaination for your question may be given by Halo Effect.          Halo effect is a Cognitive bias in   which an observer's overall impression of a person influences the observer's feelings and thoughts about that entity's character or properties. You can find more information about it on Wikipedia .Here is the link.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/...

Why do people often like to Criticize one another?

Okay so let me start off by saying that there are 2 kinds of criticisms,Constructive CriticismDestructive Criticism1.Constructive Criticism will be practised by those who want you to genuinely flourish and prosper in life.Constructive criticism, though harsh and rude at times,is actually a blessing in disguise for it helps you to improve,it helps you to identify your drawbacks and overcome them,it helps you to be a better person today than you were yesterday. So those who will constructively criticize you, will be doing so because, for some reason or the other, they want you to have a happy and successful life of your own.2.For those who will criticize you destructively, there can be 2 broad reasons as to why they’re behaving the way they are:i)They dislike a certain trait in you and want to inform you about it,but are unable to do so properly, thereby, ending up criticizing you destructively.ii)They are simply jealous of you and are suffering from inferiority complex,so the only way for them to feel “superior” to you,is by criticizing you.Yes,such criticism hurts at first but I for one, actually enjoy this particular type of commentary cause it only brings out the mean mindedness of my critics.PS:Whether a certain reviewal of you falls under the category of constructive criticism or destructive, depends solely on how you look at it. So it’s always better to first analyse why a person is saying something that is apparently “against” you, then impartially judge yourself, and then react to the matter accordingly.Thank you.

Why do people often like undiplomatic comments more than diplomatic ones? (psychologically speaking)?

Theory: Preference for rude, direct comments is a survival mechanism grounded in evolutionary psychology. We think rudeness indicates truthfulness that, if heeded, can help us avoid disaster. Thus outliving the rivals who are competing for the same resources.
